The Oh No We are going to miss our flight - Page 2 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

This is Day 2 of the trip
So lets get started.
We didn’t sleep in late I was so happy to get going, this would be the first time we would be going to the Flower and Garden event. We get up and walk to the food court don’t think any of us got anything but to fill up our mugs we got the day before. They are cute I must say. We know you can’t fill them up in the parks, but I like to bring a poweraid along. It was hot already at 8:00. We had to wait a little while for a bus. My sister and her family were running a little behind. Hardly anyone on the bus when it came. It was like the bus was just ours.
We get to the park a little after it opens, go to the line to check our bags. We get into the parkwalk around a little. We wanted to get a chance to see the gardens. So nice to just walk around a little and not have to be in a rush since our lunch wasn’t until 1:10. We did get to do a few rides before lunch. Spaceship Earth and it might have been Mission Space code green yup I am chicken when I comes to most rides, I don’t like really dark rides and I don’t like inclosed rides. Well I got both in one shot. They tricked me.
We 3 (Mom, Dad, and me) Walk back to the world showcase as its getting close to our families ADR time and Le Cellier Steakhouse, we meet up with the other 3 members. They had a good morning, they got to walk a round a little and do a ride or 2 not sure what they did can’t remember, I know they got fast pass for Mission Space but they like the orange side. I now can say I have done Mission Space and can cross that off the list.
Before we ate met up with my sister and her family we did a little shopping, I went to Norway and bought a jacket, my mother went to one of the flower and garden stands a got a Pluto statue it very cute. After that we made are way down to Le Cellier. We only had to wait a little while. I knew I want the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon but I love those Cream Cheese Mashed Potato. My mother also had Le Cellier Filet Mignon she got the risotto and she ordered the Grilled Asparagus. My niece went with the Le Cellier Filet Mignon since this was my niece first time on the adult DDP, we told her to let them know don’t put and sauce on the side and get the Cream Cheese Mashed Potatos. My sister, brother in-law and my dad got the New York Strip Steak for some reason, I think one of them got a different side, but I have know idea what they got instead. I also got a cup of the cheddar cheese soup. We like to dip the bread in it. I must be the only one but I really don’t like that pretzel bread in fact I don’t like pretzels. For drink 4 of us got Moosehead Pale Ale, My mother got a pomegranate splash she said it was really good. We got bottle water, my father also had coke, my niece go the one of the smoothies I think she got strawberry. For dessert we got something different, my brother in law had chocolate on chocolate whiskey cake, I think My sister got he chocolate moose, My mom probably got the crème brulee. I got the S’more it was only okay my niece got ice cream, and my dad either the whiskey cake or the moose. It was all very good. Now I had request this is a must for the next trip. So I will try my best.
After lunch we walked around, we started with the Canada beer cart, I got and split the trontopolitin (spelling?) it was very good. Then we shopped in the UK. Went to France then found a niece seat. Got something cold to drink. Water is always good on a very hot day. My father and brother-in law tried morocco’s beer they didn’t like it very much, I didn’t try it. After a little while of a very nice rest, we walk around word showcase until we got to Norway we had to visit the trolls we rode Maelstrom we like this ride.
Then we decide to go and have a dip in the pool and a nice rest. We later went back to Epcot for a little while. It was a nicer to just sit back and relax. We did have a late dinner. It wasn’t very good we had it at pop century. This is the only down fall of Pop Century the food was always cold. Which my mother got sick from but was fine the next morning. She did complain to the manager of the food court. The next day. That was Day 2.
