As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

IN = Immunity Necklace
EI = Exile Island
GI = Ghost Island
Malolo: they all told Michael how he surprised them though he had tried to downplay it. He said that had just been an idea and that he didn’t have anything else to work with the next time. And the others hadn’t been too sure about that. They questioned if Michael was trying to lower their expectations so that they wouldn’t see him coming the next time and therefore his gamble at the Tribal Council had put him in the crosshairs of several people. They learned the hard the way that Michael was smarter than they looked and so they tried to pay attention to him going into the next challenge.
Reward Challenge: They had to jump over 3 tables then unstack large heavy sandbags to revel a lever that drops small sandbags. Then they have to get them to the finish mat. Then toss them at target spinners to rise 3 flags.
The Reward: Coffee and pastries.
It was pretty even until the tossing Chris tossed for Naviti and Sebastian for Malolo. Naviti won by a landslide. Chris reviled he played baseball and was a pitcher in college, so he had no problem with throwing miniature sandbags at a small target.
Naviti agree to let Malolo pick rocks to see who goes to host Island. Stephanie pulls the white rock.
Ghost Island: she hopes she can find something that could help her tribe on the island, she cracks the urn and gets no game today.
Naviti: They enjoy the pastries and coffee, Donathan goes off and Laurel asks if she can join him, He tells her yes and tell her how the pastries and coffee reminded him of his mom and Mamaw. Chris saw he went off and later makes a point to reach out and tells him about his Mom and they bond.
Immunity Challenge: They have to run across a water bridge carrying a body board attached to a rope, get a sack and let the rest of the tribe to reel them in on the body board. Once they have all 3 sacks the can us the numbers inside to un lock a combination lock and get a key to un lock a sliding puzzle that they have to solve to win.
Malolo Naviti
Chelsea vs Wendell
Desiree vs Libby - Desiree winds up being dragged back with her head in the water
Chelsea vs Wendell – Chelsea falls off and gives Wendell a big lead.
Malolo closes that lead and it comes down to how fast the puzzle can be solved, Naviti wins.
Malolo: Jenna decides to flirt with Sebastian. Sebastian likes that Jenna is flirting with him and that she is willing to help with his hair, so Sebastian tries to talk the others into eliminating Stephanie. Stephanie was sweet and they all liked her except she wasn’t great at the game.
They wanted to know if she came back with an advantage from Ghost Island and so Desiree searches her things.. Only Bradley had also proposed that they eliminate Michael. Michael had seemed like a threat from the very beginning when he showed how smart he was and that left Michael trying to fight for his seat. He went to Bradley and he told him “like, hey man, I’m locked and loyal”. Not many others could make the same claim and so the one person that truly seemed like she could be eliminated was Stephanie.
Tribal Council: Jeff asks Kellyn if one of the 3 are going and her answers is the basic yes, They also talked about the possibility of Stephanie having an advantage which they do worry a bit about it. Then Jeff asks Stephanie why she wants to stay and her basic answer is her kids and that she has watched the show for a long time. Jeff asks the same of Jenna who also is a super fan dreaming of going further in the game, then Michael says he has more to offer in the game and can help them win. He did this at camp too and one other time during TC. They vote and Jeff tallies and reads them.
Desiree, Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie, Stephanie is voted out. I was glad I want to see Michael go far.
Next week Battle lines are drawn and Wendell says that Domenick and Chris want to kill each other, then the buffs are dropped.
So till then keep your hopes up and you your idols hidden my Surviving Peeps
Well, I guessed that one right. I found the episode less than exciting though. And I think we heard words from Chelsea for the first time. Talk about running under the radar. I didn't know she existed. There are a few girls that aren't getting much air time.
Since I am new to this, I am not sure how it all works.
I have Chelsea, and I didn't even know who she was until last week.
I am sure that there is a certain strategy to this game, but I am not at all sure what it is! Ha! It just seems like there is a lot of talking out of both sides of your mouth with everyone......but I assume that is normal???
Wouldn't it be best for the "team" to keep stronger players??
As of right now, I really hope that Michael doesn't get voted off.
Now as for last week, I was actually happy to see Stephanie be voted off. I didn't want to keep hearing that she was doing it for her kids.

Luvsun-
The game has changed over time, but the jist of it is that in the beginning the individuals work as a 'team' to get themselves further making pacts with each other to get themselves ahead. It would seem to make sense to keep the strong people, but the weaker are usually afraid of them and want them out for when the merge comes. When the tribes finally merge it's every man of himself. Being strong might win you individual immunity and they want those people gone. Strong ones will also keep the weaker or annoying because they know in the end that the jury (the last kicked off contestants) will not vote for them when it comes down to the last three.
When the game first started people didn't really align themselves with others like we see today. They got rid of the weaker or annoying ones to keep the tribe better since they really did need them to survive the game (keeping fire, getting food, etc). The game was much more survival oriented back in the old days.
