As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). I'd appreciate any advice anyone can offer on my photos organization issues. I'm looking to be more efficient for putting them in chorological order for my TR.
I have 4 sets of photos for any date - both mine and DH's iPhones (a few), & both our cameras (a bazillion). They were all loaded onto my laptop, and put them in folders by date - even that took quite a while. For each day, I still have the 4 sets and don't see a way to put them in order of when they were taken. For example, I have to scroll thru a whole day just to find photos from breakfast - thru both sets of iPhone photos then thru all my whole day's photos before getting to DH's photos. Is there a better way?
Photobucket. I resize the photos with Light Image Resizer before loading to PB. Once in PB if I'm looking at a grid of photos, I can't copy & past them from the grid. I have to open every single photo individually in order to copy it. Is there an easier way?
Finally, I also don't see a way to organize chronologically in PB, which means I am opening and scrolling through individual photos to find the 10 or so I want to include in any TR segment.
I've felt myself not wanting to work on the TR because it seems like, well, work! Its supposed to be fun. I'd sincerely appreciate any advice.

On my computer, I made a folder for each day of my trip and put in a resized copy of the photos I wanted to use. Then on PB, I did the same thing (made folders for each day of my trip and put only the photos I wanted to include in my TR in it). Unfortunately it's a lot of work because I don't know many short cuts. The only one I use is when I go from my computer to PB - I click on upload from my computer and when the list comes up, I press shift or control (I forget which one it is) so I can load multiple photos at a time. If I do too many though, not all of them load so I only do something like 10 at a time
Ah, ok - thanks! Yeah I dumped all my photos from the whole trip into one folder in PB So next time I'll do daily folders in PB. That solves a lot of the problem.
Anyone know about being able to copy photos from the PB grid without having to open each one individually?

Never did figure out how to do that, I just open each one I want to use and post the link in my TR's, but I usually do my TR's in Word and copy and paste it when it's done...
I've been writing in Word, but if I copy the photo and paste it to Word, it will not show up on PP when I paste the Word to PP. So, I've been pasting the text here, then pasting in the photos individually inside this little box . Are you able to put your photos in your Word doc, then paste the whole thing to PP?

I had no problems pasting the link (http:// address) to the photo in word, which is how I've always done it regardless of were the photo is stored... Are you pasting the http address or the actual photo?
Well I copied all 4 kinds of links: Email, Direct, HTML, IMG - I tried 4 tests, copied the http: etc. address into my test TR, then copied and pasted that into PP, and each time it only shows up as a link that you'd' have to click on. The actual photo is not here.
Frustrated.

Somehow when I was hitting "enter" to return to the next line, that was creating a blue hyperlink for only part of the entry. When I place the cursor elsewhere, it left the entry alone, and now it works . Thank you both for your help.
Incidentally, within the grid on PB, you can hover over any photo to get the wheel in the upper right corner, which displays the share links. A small thing, but a bit quicker than opening each one individually.
