As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.

Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

Looking for Suggestions for 2016 trip
Our next Disney trip is June of 2016. Charlie (DD 16) will be graduating high school and Eliza (DD 3) will be turning five, so this trip is going to be filled with grand celebrations. Here is the dilemma; Rachel, Charlie, Aeson, JG, Eliza, and I will be going, but we will be joined by 3-4 of Charlie's friends. I have promised to pay for the room, fuel (one of the girls will be getting a new vehicle her senior year and her parents have allowed her to take it on the trip with us), and meals on the road, if they can pay for their park tickets and meals while at Disney. The girls have agreed, and are saving every nickel and dime. Two of the girls and their families have held raffles and plan on holding garage sales; of which the funds will go to Disney savings for them.
Rachel and I have been talking, and trying to plan the trip for us all. We are thinking of doing three rooms, one for the girls, one for JG and Aeson, and one for Rachel, Eliza, and me. I suggested a suite at AoA (plus a room for the grads), but the kids are adamant that they want to do ASMovies again this trip. I have tried to price both rooms for the summer, but given that it is the end of summer, and the prices for next year are not out yet, it is difficult for me to get a good estimate. I contacted a travel company, and was sent a response that in order for three rooms to be used by us, three adults over 21 needed to be listed as guests (one for each room).
I am turning to my PP Community for guidance, suggestions, and ideas to steer me in the right direction. Any help, and I mean any help is greatly appreciated. There is still a year and 10 months to go, so there is plenty of time.

I would maybe contact a different travel company and see if you get the same response...
I'm surprised the age they are telling you is 21 not 18 - I know a group of friends that went to Disney together after HS graduation with no adults and the oldest any of them would have been was 18 or 19, but perhaps things have changed since then.
Also, maybe you can put one adult's name on one room, another adult's name on the other room, and then request that the 3rd room be adjoining to one of the other rooms. I think I read/heard somewhere that if you don't have an adult in a room, then Disney will have to give you an adjoining room.
Maybe some of the travel agent people can help out here, but I'm sure there is a way for your group to get 3 rooms.
Another option to consider is maybe renting DVC points to get a villa at one of the DVC resorts? This may be similar in price compared to 3 rooms at a value.
My DD spent sprng break at Disney her senior year in HS. DD was 17, her BFF was 18. They had no problems although my DD could not charge to her own account. She had to use BFF's. They stayed at SSR on points.

I read somewhere that the age was 18, not 21, but when I was relayed this by that travel agency, (whom specializes in Disney trips), I figured maybe Disney had raised the age limit and had not really made it known/publicized it. I will try contacting 2-3 other Disney travel agencies to see if I get the same response.
I stayed at Disney for my HS graduation as well without my adults... I was 18... the problem came when we hopped over to Universal and they wouldn't let me check in :'( My Uncle had to come rescue us! This was 6 years ago now so things might have changed though if they had any issues. However, if you're all on the same reservation I wouldn't see the problem with an 18 year old being in charge of one of the rooms as long as someone over 21 is checking in?
I am a single parent that travels to WDW with more minors than can fit in one room.
We always, always get two value rooms.
I had the same dilemma as you; had to have an adult listed for each room.
Disney came up with this idea, so I know it is okay.... They changed my oldest son to be listed as an adult. Since he is considered a Disney adult, the price is no different.
The reservation is listed as one single reservation with multiple rooms. I have done this multiple times at Disney and never once had a problem!

When we traveled with 17 people we found that it was cheaper for a moderate hotel then a value because we could fit 5 to a room. Most value resorts only hold 4!
