As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Yes I am, already not liking Rachels sister, sounds just like her ugh. I love the new twist of having 3 put of for eviction, one being from the player of the viewers choice. Should put an end to floaters and will make the game more interesting.

I'm watching! Based solely on the first episode, I like McRae a lot and dislike Jessie the most. I think the nomination twist will make things really interesting, and I like that it will be anonymous.

My daughters and I watch it every summer! I have too say I'm not overly thrilled this season. A lot of okay but not outstanding personalities. A couple are going to drive me nuts!
I do not care for most of the houseguests so far. The new twist will be interesting. I am glad that it is all new contestants. I hate on any reality show when they keep bringing former contestants back to compete at least once if not more times. Maybe these newbies will grow on me.
So far McCrae is at the top of my list. I can't stand the doofus with the horrible horrible goony surfer hair! Please get rid of him first so I don't have to look at his hair. Also, I find it funny that the one girl that thinks she's so beautiful is the plainest looking girl in the house. Can you say narcissist? I also like the guy that compared himself to Peter Parker. I think that was a pretty on target comparison. He's a cutie. I haven't learned their names yet. I am however disappointed that each year they get more and more into only having "the beautiful people" on the show. I liked it much better when they threw in some older people and some average joes. I'm not into these kids that think they're all that.
I completely agree with this. The plain girl who thinks she is so awesome, her name is Jessie and I can't stand her! Nick is the Peter Parker guy and he is cute.
Though, I have a lot more to add...read on....

So I just finished watching and I have a lot to say so bear with me.
First for people....
These are the people I think are okay...not sure about how I rate them yet....
Helen (Asian mom)
Spencer (Ginger with the beard)
Judd (Guy from TN. who was cooking frog legs, which is a negative for me)
Kaitlin (dark haired bartender, blue eyes)
Amanda (dark haired real estate lady)
Candance (very pretty, multi race)
Elissa (Rachel's sister)- I am unsure how I will like her. Part of me feels like I have to give her a chance, on her own merit, but the other part of me feels like she is a Rachel knock off.
These are the people I can't stand already...and I want them to be gone as soon as possible
1.) JESSIE (plain girl who thinks she is all that) super, super annoying, conceited, and narcissistic
GinaMarie ( girl from NY) SO loud, hyper, annoying
David (surfer, life guard) SO annoying
These are the people I like the best thus far...
Howard (tall dark and handsome drink of water!)
Aaryn (really pretty blonde college girl from Tx) The only girl I really like so far
Nick (aka Peter Parker) he is a cutie!
Jeremy (tall, tattooed) I might decide I don't like him later, but so far...I like.
Andy (gay ginger) Boy he is going to be fun I think! I love gingers and he reminds me of Ron from HP.
McCrae...we'll we all know who he is! LOL
I am unsure about how I feel about 3 noms, I think I'll have to see how it goes. Sure will change the game though.
I was so glad that Jessie lost HoH, I would love if she left, and then David.
Not so sure that it's good that McCrae got HOH, as he was already slightly a target. I think it's funny no one believes he is a pizza delivery guy.
Some funny quotes I liked...
"I can tell we had a connection. Right off the back!" David about Aaryn
"There's a big giant tongue trying to lick my popsicle. It's kind of awkward for the first night" GinaMarie
I thought it was cute that Spencer was telling Aaryn to be careful after she dropped from the HOH, bc of her legs.
I also think it's hilarious that Judd knows about Elissa, and surprised it took everyone else that long!

I'm a chronic note taker too, but I did not take notes just yet....
I'm glad the pizza guy won HOH; I was worried he may be the first to go otherwise and I think he seems like a nice guy that I'd like to see stick around for a while.... he already gives off the underdog vibe; and everyone loves an underdog, so....
The Jersey girl would get on my last nerve if I was in the house..... I'm not saying I don't like her just yet; just that she'd get on my last nerve if I had to live with her...
Yes, I'm watching. Still don't have any favorites but I have to say that surfer dude and GinaMarie annoy me a bit. Elissa (Rachel's sister) seems nice and not at all like her sister.
yeah I keep forgetting about the loud mouth girl. She would irritate the crap out of me.
yeah me too. The only reason so far she is on my dislike list is bc she is SO loud and hyper. If she toned it down a bit, she might move to the okay list. I still would prefer for Jessie and then David...and then GinaMarie to leave in that order.
I have read some of the live updates and this cast is a little different. Should make for a good season. I am suprised at some of the hook up the first week.
