As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

I didn't realize the breakfast was different from the dinner...we are having breakfast at CRT and dinner at Akershus Storybook...would be be better off eating at the Alice in Wonderland breakfast...or are the stepsisters worth another princess dining experience?
I think the sisters are a riot. Last year one was giving us a hard time because Abby had on her Princess Abby t-shirt that I had made (with the help of a fellow PPer). She asked what made Abby a Princess and I told her the shirt I made for her was all it took and she should ask her mother to make her one. And then the best part of the meal was Prince Charming. He too noticed Abby's shirt and said that maybe she would dance with him when they did the waltzing. That part of the meal started and a couple of CM's had already picked up kids to dance with the Prince and Cinderella but after a quick twirl or two, the Prince came over to finish out the song with Abby and of course this was me because IMO it was really special that he remembered what he said and came back
The princess dining experience at 1900 Park Faire is really worth it. We make it one of our must do dining choices. It is always fun to go there for the interaction with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine,Anastasia,& Drizella. I think one time we went Suzy & Pearla were there to but I could be wrong. The dinner is a great experience!

Nope, you're not wrong. They were there at one point in time but I don't remember if it was 2007 or 2008 when they put in the step mother and sisters (and I'm just too lazy right now to read through my TR's to figure it out )
I also really liked the food at the dinner - it was my fav buffet dinner and we've had a few - nice fresh food and great soup and salads.
the stepsisters were wonderful with my sons and the step mother got all the men up (even DFiL) for a photo with her and corrected their posture -really a fun night!
So sorry to ask but....Suzy and Pearla? Who are they?
We liked the dinner best too! Those stepsisters and Lady Tremaine are so much fun! Loved the dinner buffet - food was excellent! We felt much more rushed with the breakfast service and characters - although I did love meeting and chatting with Mary Poppins.

Dinner is a must do for us!!! the interactions can't be beat! This last time one of my kiddo's still had the makeup on from the pirates league and Drizella told her to tell Cinderella that this is to be her makeup from now on so she could have her prince back. She had so much fun tattling on Drizella! Lady Tremaine was a hoot and really played up to my Aunt!

I thought the meal was really yummy, and our servers were fantastic! Everyone and their mother loves the strawberry soup... everyone but me!

I have thoroughly enjoyed 1900 Park Fare for both breakfast and dinner.
The food choices on both buffets are excellent!
The character interaction at both are great as well.
But I will have to admit that I loved the dinner buffet because of the characters that were there. The characters at the dinner buffet are Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia and Drisella. The step-mother and step-sisters are hilarious!
We would definitely do this dinner buffet again!
Before our last trip, I asked my 2 teen DD's the two TS places they wanted to eat.
Dinner at 1900 Park Fare is one of the places they chose. Sometimes interaction at character dinners is lacking because most of our party is older. This is not the case with dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The stepsisters had our whole table in stitches while Lady Tremaine sized up the single young man at our table as a possible match for one of her daughters.
