That's at least 8 cents cheaper than anywhere else. There's only one problem -

The station is closed for remodeling! So, the sign says $2.66 - but we can't get gas there!!
Kathryn says they could just make everyone happy for a brief second by putting up $0.99/gallon and we'd all be thrilled - until we realized we couldn't buy it at that cost anyway - but imagine the excitement of seeing that just one more time! (Did I mention that she's a smart aleck?)

My dh saw gas today for $2.83 - that is the cheapest we have seen it here in northern Indiana.
Why would that gas station advertise gas for a certain price or at all, if they aren't even open?

Yeah. I see a sign on an old station that makes me "what?". They've gone out of business but the sign still says $1.89. Sounds good to me.

Can't complain here. We're at $2.42. Still, I'd like $1.89 better.

I think it was 2.89 here. But Clark Howard was saying on the radio this morning that he expects it to be 2.15 within the next 45 days barring something weird in the price of oil.

Ours just went down again last night....now $3.29. (It's come down about 10 cents a day....starting at 3.89 last weekend). It took $45 to fill my car. You guys make me SO jealous of your prices.

The lowest around here is $3.29. Still, I get a thrill out of seeing the prices drop as I drive back and forth to work. I'm in the habit of not filling my tank and now that it's more affordable, I still don't want to fill it in case it goes down more.

Murphy's and Speedway by work are both $2.48. There are always long lines at both stations. Everwhere else gas is between $2.71 and $2.89.
