I love this resort We have stayed here once and stayed at the Yacht Club three times. Both are great! I love the location thats why we keep coming back. I am reluctant to stay anywhere else because you are so close to epcot and Hollywood studios. Lots to do also at the boardwalk. Anyone choosing the Beach or Yacht Club will not be sorry. Loved the rooms also nice and spacious!

I was scheduled to stay Club Level at the Beach Club from August 31, 2011 - September 4, 2011 and ended up switching to the Boardwalk Inn for the remainder on September 1, 2011 because the Beach Club was that horrible.

One word to describe their Club Level lounge is claustrophobic because it's that small and not enough tables for the amount of Club Level rooms they have. Plus it's even worse when they open the doors to it at 5:00 PM causing a stampede of guests getting their limited number of tables and I saw someone personally take up 3 tables for members of their family, who weren't even there.

As for their Cast Members the one who checked us in (Chris) made in my opinion a rude joke saying the best thing about the Boardwalk is that they face the Beach Club. He saw that we previously stayed there and thought he was being funny. Plus when we asked for Sprite Zero some of their other Cast Members looked so pissed that they had to walk a few feet to their stock room and looking for it. Finally the Cast Members who work in the lounge stand there looking at everyone waiting to clear plates and etc off the tables (because they don't have a table for it like other CL lounges) and it wasn't a great feeling knowing we were being watched.

Besides all that the Beach Club was going through some renovations outside and I remember hearing drilling and etc while I was in my room. I knew in advance that would be going on, however everyone told me it would have been completed and it was not.

As for Stormalong Bay can you say overated. I can't see what people find so great about it. The whole area is way to big and am I supposed to be impressed that it has sand inside the pool.

I am a Boardwalk Inn girl but wanted to try the Beach Club for the amazing pool. My boys absolutely loved Stormalong Bay!

I was disappointed with our room. We were upgraded from a standard view to a lagoon view due to a big mix up on our check in day. I appreciated the upgrade and was excited to get a full balcony with a beautiful view of the Boardwalk across the lagoon. However, my love of the room stopped there. There were noticeable chips in the furniture and room just felt a little dated. Housekeeping did clean up but the room never felt "clean". Towels were not arranged every day in a nice way..just left in a folded pile on the back of the sink.

The walk to Epcot is fantastic and a lot closer than the Boardwalk. The boat service to the Studios was good. The Beach Club Marketplace leaves a lot to be desired. I found the breakfast options to be expensive and a little blah. Hurricane Hanna's was very tasty but closed at 8pm and the waits got pretty long sometimes.

For the price, I expected a little more out of the actual room but for the proximity to Epcot and the beautiful view, Beach Club is definitely a worthwhile stay.

The rooms are very worn and are in need of serious updating. We had tears and holes in our wallpaper, as well as chipped cement/tile that separates the bathroom from the hallway area.

We did have a lovely view, but there really wasn't anything special about the hotel. We liked being close to Epcot. The pool was the only thing special about the hotel. I doubt it would be enough to make me go back.

It didn't ruin our trip, but to know I could have gone last year and this year and stayed value and moderate, rather than saving the money to spend on a deluxe was rather disappointing.

Just returned from the BC Villas. We have been true blue Wilderness Lodge fans, but have to say this was a great resort! Location/location! LOVED walking to Epcot; the Boardwalk; even walking in the cool morning over to Hollywood Studios is good. I thought the themeing was great. The pool was awesome, but a little large and somewhat difficult to watch your child easily. More options for breakfast - other than Captain's Grille (expensive) and the very small serving line in the Marketplace would have been nice. Yes, I know there is Cape May but you can't eat with the Characters every day! The small serving line did not have Mickey waffles or a lot of choices at all. Of course, we could cook in our room and did so - thus this issue was not as "big" as it would be to others. The room decor looked fresh. The bed was great and the pull out sofa bed was comfy enough my 21yr old Daughter slept very well. I am sure I will stay there again as my son's favorite park is Epcot and how nice it was to not have to wait for transport to that park!

Can you tell by my ratings that I adore Beach Club? Truly, I cannot think of anything that I didn't enjoy during our visit. From the wonderful service when we checked in, to the excellent mousekeeping, to the fantastic pool, Beach Club really did 'have it all' for our family. Probably the only downside at all is the price. But, it's right in line with the pricing on the other deluxe resorts, so that's just the way it goes. If you want all the extra amenities and the location, then you have to pay the price. But if you can make it work for your family, I highly recommend the Beach Club. In my humble opinion, it's worth every cent.

It's not all that often that I have a major disconnect with the majority of folks on the Passporter boards but I do with the Beach Club. It's not that the Beach Club was *bad*, it just wasn't all that great (except for the pool/beach).

So I'll run through the aspects/our experiences of the resort:

• Room - it was okay, not as large as we expected given our experience at another deluxe resort. There was also less privacy regarding the bathroom area that we had at the CR and the CBR. All in all, we were more impressed with our rooms at the CBR than we were at BC.
• Counter Service Food - the quality of the food was good but the service was very slow and the layout was terrible. There was always a line that got in the way of the reach in coolers. They just wedged in the food service station where there wasn't room for it.
• Staff - The staff was... ok. Most of them didn't smile or greet the guests, though a few did reliably. Most notably, the CM's working the gift shop always greeted us with big, happy Disney smiles and greetings. That was nice!
• Theme - we're not huge on themes at the resorts but the BC does it well. The architecture was particularly pleasant to look at. The grounds and gardens were lovely.
• Condition - this hotel is starting to show it's age. The elevators and furniture in our rooms were looking pretty knocked about and scarred. It wasn't terrible but it's about time for a refurb.
• Transportation - the boats to Epcot, Boardwalk and DHS is outstanding. The buses to AK and Disney Springs were right on schedule. The buses to/from TMK were horrendously late. We waited over 30 minute every time and one evening had a 54 minute wait. This is a transportation dept issue, not a BC resort issue but people who are considering this resort should be aware of it.
• Restaurant - no opinion here as we didn't eat there.
• Pool/Beach Area - okay, here's the one spot that was great. The pool is huge and has areas that are sandy bottom and regular bottom. There are actually multiple pools but I kind of thought of them as one big area. The lazy river is fantastic. The beach was great, especially at night. I spent some relaxation time on the beach after walking parks all day. It was great to just relax, put my feet in the cool sand and look at the lights from the Boardwalk on the water.

So yeah, over all we found the BC to just be okay. With the exception of the pool, it didn't compare to our other deluxe resort experience at the Contemporary. In fact, we found ourselves saying multiple times that we wished that we had gone back to the CR instead of the BC. It's not that BC is bad, it just didn't seem like a deluxe resort.
