I do bring my own bags to the grocery store. I always keep them in my car so that I don't forget them. I do use the insulated bags for thins that have to be kept cold. If I am at a store besides the grocery store, I just have them use the store plastic bags. We re-use them when we clean out our cat litter boxes.

We try to take our own bags. They are almost all Disney totes from our trips (those suckers are great grocery sacks!).
We have a Trader's Point insulated bag, but the grocery we usually go to is less than a mile away, so we don't usually use it.
If we forget our bags or fill them up and need others, then the grocery bags for us and never asks which kind of bag we want, they just put the groceries in plastic bags. And they seem to believe we need one bag for each item, no matter the size!!

I've been carrying my own bags for maybe 20 years now. I nearly always remember to use them when I buy groceries, but I sometimes ask for paper bags to recycle our paper in.
The commissary started selling very nice zippered, insulated bags several years ago, and I have 5 or 6 of those. They were quite popular Christmas gifts for my mom & sisters a few years back, and I need to get them some more.

The bad thing I do is always underestimate how many bags I'll need in KMart or Target, and have to get a few plastic ones for all my purchases.

When I go to Walmart of the grocery store, I almost always bring my own bags. I have 4 nice sturdy hard-bottomed totes and a whole bunch of the "regular" reusable bags (several are Disney bags, several military commissary bags). I have 3 good sized insulated bags for cold things as well.

In the event I forget, I get plastic bags (which we recycle) but only because neither Walmart or HEBREW (grocery) ever gives me the choice. If I know that I am only getting one or two items, I don't bother to get a bag at all.

The grocery stores I shop at offer both plastic or paper...I usually get plastic which is later recycled.

I have reusables but either forget them at home or in the car. My kids always use them. I just take plastic fromt he store and recycle them althouh once in a reat while I will ask for paper. No Disney bags.

Since I need bags for our cat litter disposal, I usually just use the plastic bags from the store. I'll use an insulated bag for cold items on hot days. If we have an overabundance of plastic bags in the house, then I will take my own grocery bags that we have collected over the years.

I almost always bring my own bags to the grocery store. I have some Disney Bags, but I don't often use them for groceries (don't want them to get ruined lol). When I do get plastic bags, I recycle them by using them as small trash can liners or I bring them to work to use (prek teacher here).

We have all our groceries delivered and they don't use bags to be green - we get everything in crates we then hand back to them.

I mainly shop at Aldi and you have to bring your own bags or buy them so I always bring my own. I will be switching mainly to Bottom Dollar now that it opened in walking distance to my job yesterday and you have to bring your own bags there too.

I usually bring my own bags, especially because Giant gives 5 cents back for each reusable bag. I have a couple Disney bags, but I usually use store brand or the heavier ones I got from DD's college.
