As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.

Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). We are facing the possible prospect of each of us having to use an ECV while at WDW and we were wondering if we could get some insight and advice on how difficult/easy it is. We've travelled with one ECV in the past and will definitely have one on our upcoming trip (as I wrecked my knee over the summer) but we are now facing the possibility of having 2. Also, we are staying at POFQ, how difficult will it be there with 2 ECVs?

I have traveled with 2 EC V's & it was no issue at all. We may have waited a bit longer to get a bus that had space for both of us at closing time, but other than that no issues at all.
(Just regular ECV stuff) Park them both near the door inside your room at night to charge them.. You may want to have the little table & maybe chairs removed if you need extra space..

Mid December is a great time to visit! I don't know about two ECVs, but when I visited Disneyland with Deb (Eeyore Tatoo) I'd use her ECV when she wanted to stretch her legs, and I had no problem at all navigating.
I know POFQ was built with access in mind, so I imagine you should be fine. It may be a little tough if you take a bus. Maybe give transportation a heads-up on that!

Hi! I've had no experience personally, but can tell you from what I've observed with family members, it's not too bad.
With dad and step-mom each on a scooter and my DD Samantha in a power wheelchair, we had to take at least 2 buses everywhere we went, unless it was accessible through the mono-rail system (we were at GF). Not bad, just cumbersome.
Samantha and her DH have gone a few times and rarely had issues (they are both in large power chairs). The only issue they have had in many trips has been when a driver refused to load them both, saying he didn't have room (the bus was half-full). A phone call to transportation took care of that issue.
All in all, it's not really any different than taking one scooter. You're going at a slower time of year, so the crowds shouldn't be too bad, making transportation not too bad. I think you might want to talk about whether you'll split up if a bus comes with space for one of you but not the other. Will you wait for a bus that can take both of you, or each travel separately and meet up at your destination?
Years ago my mother and step-father stayed at POFQ with two scooters and it was fine. They had the table and chairs removed to make it easier to plug in both scooters at night. I think once they had to go on separate buses because there was already a wheelchair loaded, but the rest of the time it was no problem fitting both on the bus.

Monorails can handle 4 disabled vehicles and sometimes they squeeze an extra one in. Carry your charger and plug in if you use monorails as the ramps are murder on my scooter.
All buses have 2 spots and some Disney buses have 3 spots but drivers miss those at times. The lines can get long at time for spots. Usually you can go as a family. I have not been turned away and was lucky to get a family with two scooters on a bus with me when I saw the third spot.
It takes planning as there are options at times like taking a ferry instead of a bus or monorail.
