As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Thanks I felt much better once we got to the campground.
We woke up before the alarm went off. I still felt alittle sick so Michael told me that him and Amber would gets things done for me and Michelle to get our showers and go to the front desk and let Michelle watch the cartoons they was playing. They had Dinsey Junoir playing. Other kids came in and Michelle played checkers and other games with the other kids. When me and Michelle was waiting a castmember brought out a big corkboard of pins to trade and Michelle seen one she wanted to trade. I called Michael to have Amber bring Michelles landyard. Amber got there and Michael was getting his shower than going to park the truck/camper in the parking lot while we go get lunch at the Lodge. We still had 4 CS credits left and 5 snack credit left as well. Amber gave Michelle her landyard and she traded the pin she wanted with one of hers. She was a happy camper with all her pins now. She showed the castmember what pins she ended up with he told her that 4 of her pins not to trade anymore One is a piglet that is from the parks in Paris. Then another one is from a castmembers landyard back in 2007 (A Mickey with a bug net. he is dressed in green and the grass in almost as high as Mickeys head) the other two is Auraro which I know Michelle will never get rid of since she is her favorite character. Me got with us and we headed on the bus to go to the Lodge to eat at Roaring Forks. They closed the boats down because it was the coldest morning/day since we got there. We got to the RF at 1 pm. Me and Amber had the grill chicken sandwich/fries. Michael had their special the philly flatbread. Michelle picked the nuggets/fries and other sides. Then we all picked 2 goodies each then we all decided to grab a bottle water for the last snack credit. After we all was almost done with our lunch. I went and got the last CS meal which was a kids ones since Michelle didn't get hers at MK when she was asleep. Michelle said she wanted a pepperoni pizza. She ended eating one slice and the rest of us finished it. I went up to the cashier and got a bag for the rest of our goodies to take with us. It ended up being a big bag full of stuff. We all done a pit stop and headed out. In the lobby of the Lodge their was castmembers with craft stuff out so we let the girls done some crafts. I didn't bring our camera so I didn't get any pictures. I was just enjoying watching the kids making stuff and Michelle giggling with the castmembers. We headed back to the CG and to get in the truck and head home. We was on the rode at 3:30. About 7 we stopped to get gas. Michelle was saying her tummy hurts. At the gas station there was a Subway and we all decided to get something to eat. Michelle only wanted the a peice of flatbread with nothing on it. So we asked for that and the guy didn't mind at all. Me and Michael shared a cold club 12 inch sub and drink. Amber ordered the meatball 12 inch sub. After Michelle at all her flatbread she said she wanted more so we ordered 2 more to go so she can just nibble on it anytime she wanted. We was very surprised that the cashier only charges us .49 cent each for the flatbread. It was time to get back on the rode and get to our hotel in Hardeeville, SC Quality Inn and Suites. When we got there I forgot to look to see what time it was. We got our keys and Michael and Amber brought up our overnight bag to the room. While me and Michelle went to the room to check it out. The room was nice and the beds was comfy. Daddy gave Michelle he bath and then I took mine when Michelle was getting dressed and teeth brushed. Alarm is set for 9 am. They have free hot breakfast until 10 am. It didn't take long at all for all of us to fall asleep.
Next home sweet home
Oops, sorry for calling you your daughter's name. People do that to me all the time too. I like that you guys had a few nice things to do on your "leaving the bubble" day. Pin trading, lunch, and crafts sounds pretty good.
I stayed at the Quality Inn in Hardeeville a few years ago on our way back to NC from WDW. For the price, I thought it was pretty OK! They were in the middle of renovations at that time. We got a just renovated room, so most everything was new. The manager was very nice, too.
Your last day sounded magical just like all the others! Glad you got to feeling better but sorry Michelle started feeling bad.
I couldn't asked for a better last day than what we had. When Michelle starts to settle down from having such a busy time she will start complaining about her tummy. That is when she will just eat bread or crackers which is fine with me.

I was sad and happy at the same time about going home. I would highly recommend doing the craft stuff on your last day. It lets the kids have fun and let the adults just sit and relax.

For an overnight stay this was a great place to stay. The rooms a very clean and if you need anything you just give the desk a call and they will help you if they can. All of the help their was very friendly. You will hear about the breakfast on the next post. Don't want to spoil it right now.
We woke up around 8:15. I woke Amber up so she can get her shower while Michael went down to the pop-up to make sure everything was still working like the lights and all that good stuff. Michelle woke up and wanted to watch alittle t.v. So I turned it to Disney Junior When daddy came back me and Michelle went down to eat breakfast. They had the station where we can make your own waffles I was glad Michelle felt better this morning. I fixed both of us a waffle. After eating my waffle I has sausage gravy ontop of a biscuit. After adding plus putting a sausage patty on before putting the gravy on. Then I added salt and pepper to it, it was yummy. Amber joined us and she fixed her a little waffle as well. Then she fixed herself a bagel. Michelle seen her bagel and wanted one so Amber let her have a half of it. Daddy joined us and of course he fixed a waffle as well and had a bowl of cereal. Both him and Amber had some of the little cheese omeletes they had. Michelle tried it but she doesn't like cheese so of course she said she didn't like the inside of it. When we was done we went back to the room and brushed our teeth and then we was off. Michael already took stuff to the truck before getting something to eat. At 1:30 we stopped for gas and ate at the gas station which had Taco Bell. Michelle wanted a toca I had my usual crunchy wrap meal. Amber had the cheesy burrito meal. Michael had the Goridda's meal. Michael had 2 taco's. Did get her the meal because she doesn't care for the cini twist. After stooping in the restrooms we were back on the road. We got home about 5:30. Michael and Amber unloaded the truck and pop-up while I opened cans of soup for dinner. When they brought a bag in I unpacked that bag. I decided to go ahead and unpack the stuff because I still had all the Christmas decoration to get down and pack up. Michelle didn't want soup she said she just wanted califlower. So I got out a frozen bag and put it on the stove. Michelle ended up eating over half the bag and I ended up eating some califlower with just the nroth of the soup on that. By 7 p.m. we had everything unpacked and ate. At 8 we started getting Michelle ready for bed and the rest of us followed shortly. We enjoyed our trip but we was so happy to be home. Now to get the house back to normal and all the dirty laundry done.
I knew Michelle was happy to be home because when we pulled up by the house Michelle said "home sweet home." She started blowing kisses at the house. When we got in the house she looked for Michael's mom which she was in her room. She was still sick. So Michelle went straight to her room and shut the door and started playing with her toys. I went to check on Michelle and she was telling her toys "I missed you so much"
Thanks all for keeping up with my TR and hope I didn't bore you much. Now I can't wait to plan our next trip to WDW
Glad you made it home safely! Thanks for sharing your trip with us!
