I had another post regarding our check in experience at Kidani so there's enough said about that. Now, about the room (much difference experience than the check in)

The resort itself is really amazing and we really appreciated the 2BR/3 bathrooms with 7 of us along on this trip. As I stated earlier, the remote food was expected and Disney made that as painless as possible. We also appreciated that at Kidani, you park beneath the building, out of the hot FL sun. That was nice too. The building itself was nice, but I could see where the convenience of the Jambo building would make the trip that much better.


The savanna view was a neat experience. We mostly saw giraffes and zebras and they were around pretty much all day. I expected them to vanish in the hot FL sun but the animals were visible all day. Disney gives you a nice guide sheet of the critters outside your window so you can tell what you're looking at (other than the obvious zebra, giraffe and rabbit). We thought adding lions and cheetahs would make the savannah much more exciting (just kidding!)

The theming of the room was well done and the furninshings were clean and comfortable for the time we were actually there and not in the parks. The space really worked out well with the 4DD and friends in one BR (with its own bath), DS in the pullout sofa (with access to his own bath) and DW and I in the MBR (with jacuzzi tub and shower). The walk in shower was neat, however you're in a fishbowl with all of the glass.

I don't know that we would stay at Kidani again, but its possible that we would try the Jambo house since the amenities are closer at hand. If you're traveling with a large group, the 3 baths in a 2BR certain adds much convenience.

I think we're on the same page about Kidani, as we've said, now having stayed there, that we prefer Jambo for the same reasons you gave.

Having seen a photo of the shower in another TR, I thought the same thing... why is the shower glass clear and not cloudy so you don't feel like you are in a fish tank

Glad to hear you enjoyed your room at Kidani. We loved it there and can't wait to return.

If Kidani had a quick service, it would be my fav place to stay. But we are going with Jambo house for our next trip as well just because I was able to get a value room on DVC points and I think Jambo has the WOW factor for the lobby.

That may be the way to go. The savanna view was nice, but we were up at park openings and there some days until closing (or EMH) so we really didn't get to see too many critters.

It seems that Sanaa should be open for Breakfast and Dinner (even though its a TS, not QS), not lunch and dinner. I would think the lunchtime crowds are pretty sparse what with the parks and all that recreation available during daytime hours.
