As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Well we finally made it home last night. Boy am I tired. It didnt hit until this morning how tired I am but it was well worth it. We had 9 nights and 8 full days at Disney.
It was my and hubby and our 3 kids. Christian (11), Chase (turned 9 while there) and Ciara (2). This was the best week to go. Most of the times we had no lines or very short lines at the rides. We also had the Deluxe Meal Plan.
Friday the 4th we arrived to Coronado Springs resort around 8pm. We went to our room and then the kids wanted to go to the pool. Nothing much happened that day. We came in a back entrance near the AK and no one was around. For a minute I thought we werent at Disney. There was absolutely no cars around.
Saturday the 5th. This was our first official day. This was when our package started. We had to check out and then recheck in cause the first night was just a room only reservation. We had a breakfast reservation at CRT. We headed to the MK at opening. We got to see the rope drop. My son Christian and I went and rode the Buzz Lightyear ride first while my husband and other son Chase went to go and find Stitch hands. My son loves Stitch. After that we headed down to the castle to go to breakfast. It was at 9:55 am. On our way we met Lady Tremaine and her daughters. THey were a hoot. My daughter and I got our pic taken with them. Lady Tremaine asked me what land we hailed from and I said that we were Queens. Our real last name is Queen. She started bowing to us and telling her daughters that we were royalty and then asked us to invite them to our next ball. It was quite funny. We made it to the castle around 9:30 and checked in and got called in right away. It was great. We had our pics done with Cinderella and we got 2 packages so one is all of us with her and the other one is just my boys. We got to meet all of the princesses except for Ariel. After breakfast we didnt do to much there. We rode the teacups and the carosel with absolutely no waits. Then we headed back to the resort and met my sister and her husband at their resort which was Port Orleans. We went swimming there and then headed back to our resort for a little and went swimming at ours. I liked our pool better. That night we had Dinner at Whispering Canyon. It was fun but it was actually something that I could probably do without. Then we went back to our resort and of course the kids went swimming again. oh Yea we also had to go to the Lego store. That was all the kids wanted to do that day. So we added that in somewhere. Then bed time.
I will add more later. I still have Sunday through Saturday to do LOL.

Time for more.
Sunday 9-6 We had breakfast at Hollywood and Vine with the Playhouse Disney characters. My Dh loved this breakfast and wants to go back when its just him and me in May. They had Leo and June and Goliath and JoJo. It was a buffet and the food was really good. Then we rode some of the rides at DHS. My son got picked for the Jedi Training Academy. He loved it of course. HE got to fight against Darth Vader. Then we rode Star Tours and walked around alot looking at different things. My sister and her stepson met us there. We got pics with Lighting McQueen and Mater. DD2 loves them. I rode the Tower of Terror with my sis and her stepson. It was awesome. I couldnt get anyone from my family to ride it though. We ate lunch at Sci-Fi. Kids loved it. We actually went an hour earlier then our reservation and she was able to sit us so that was cool. When we left there the line was huge so Im glad we got in when we did. We went back to the hotel for a break and some swimming and then later on we went back to DHS. We had Dinner at 50's Primetime. IT was ok but still fun. Our waitress ( she was called our cousin) had 2 other tables sign a bday card for Chase. He thought that was neat. Then my son rode Star Tours like 3 times. HE loved it. THe wait was only 5 minutes all day long. Then I met my sis and we went and rode Rock'nRoller coaster. It was fun. While we were eating my sis kept saying the wait was only 5 minutes and by the time I got over there Fantasmic had gotten out and the wait was 60 minutes. Unfortunately it was the only thing I rode but we still had fun.
Monday 9-7 Dh and I went golfing at Oaktrail while my sis watched the kids for us. We didnt stay long though. Then we came back and we went to AK for a little with my sis and her son. We were able to do the Kali River Rapids with about 20 minute wait but got babyswap so 2nd time (when I got to go) was just a few minutes. Then I rode Expedition Everest with sis and her son. (my family doesnt ride any coasters). Then we left there and me and the boys headed to Blizzard Beach. We stayed there for a couple of hours. Then we went back to the hotel and headed down to Downtown Disney. We had dinner at Planet Hollywood. Kids loved it there. We walked around for a while. Avoided the Lego Store LOL. Then just headed back to hotel for the night.
Tuesday 9-8 We just got some muffins from the hotel using snack credits. Then we headed to MK for our 9am Pirates League reservation for the boys. DS11 didnt want to do it so we let DS8 do the expensive one. HE got the 3 eyed jack and looked awesome. We were there for about an hour. DD2 was getting a little restless so I took her out and we met Captain Hook and Smee. Then me and the boys rode Pirates. We had an 11:35 reservation for Crystal Palace. I have to say the place is really pretty but this was the one that I liked the least. But at least I tried it. We got to meet Winnie, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger. We rode the train around and went to Toon Town. The kids loved the barnstormer. I went through Minnies house with DD2. Then we headed back to the hotel. My sis came and stayed with the kids while DH and me went to eat at Narcoossee's. We had 8:45 reservations. We went to the MK first(parked at the Grand Floridian and just took the boat over). I actually got my DH on Splash Mountain. He actually liked it to. When we were at dinner and the fireworks were about to start the dimmed the whole restaraunt and let people go outside on the balcony and watch them. It was really nice. Dinner was good. I got the Maine lobster. Thank goodness for the dining plan. Just for the 2 of us it was almost $200. Then we headed back to the hotel.
I will do the rest later. Still have Wed through Saturday to do.
