my little Alice doll had a magic adventure in DisneyWorld - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

my little Alice doll had a magic adventure in DisneyWorld
All these photos are mixed in time
A photo that I took of my little Alice doll being held by Alice
These next 2 photos are when I took my little baby Alice to the Grand Floridian Cafe As she sits she starts to think about a world of her own and how she likes it when things don't make sense As she thinks she starts to get very sleepy
Alice says "Hello Alice" as she is being held by Alice and Alice says "Hello Alice" as she is holding Alice As the little Alice doll looks at the people she starts to notice that "tiny tim" is not there.
Alice starts to think "I don't understand where "tiny tim" could be. I am going to walk around and find him" >
After Alice has walked around for a bit she sits down for a rest. Soon Alice starts to notice that color has gone away. Alice says to herself "Now how did this happen?" > Alice also starts to notice that it is very hot. Alice says to herself "well after all it is summer time"
Soon Alice sees something that can keep her cool. She says "How did this get here?" Alice also says "I don't care how it got here, I am tired of being so hot" > Alice starts to say "Now how do I turn this on" and for some reason the fan just turns itself on. Alice says "Well that is neat it turns on by itself and look it's making the wind blow right at me even though I am so short that I would think it would be blowing the wind kinda above me" > Alice also says "What in the world is going on with all the colors"
After a while Alice starts to notice that a lot of things have change. The thing that was keeping her cool is not there. She is sitting in another place way up high. She is in Epcot. She is also in the world of animation. Alice says "Curiouser and curiouser" > Soon little baby Alice falls down.
Down and down fell Alice until she was in the hands of Alice at the 1900 Park Fare Alice said to the little doll "Hello Alice, it's very nice to see you again" and the little doll said to Alice "Thank you Alice, it's very nice to see you again" >
Soon the Mad Hatter comes and he tells Alice and Alice "How about a nice cup of tea" > So Alice and Alice and the Mad Hatter all go to a table to have a cup of tea. Alice puts the little doll on the table.
As the little Alice doll drinks her tea she starts to notice that a lot of people are looking at her and talking about how cute she looks Alice just loves it when people talk about how cute she is
After a little bit Alice saw that she was sitting on the table all by herself. The other Alice was gone and the Mad Hatter was gone. She also sees that color is gone again.
Alice starts to say "This is the second time that color has gone away today" And as she says this color comes back. Alice says "I shall make a book about all this when I get home" >
Alice got up and she noticed that the table kept getting bigger and bigger. She started walking on the table and as she was walking she noticed that things like color kept changing and changing and changing.
Alice walked into the Magic Kingdom. She figured that she would go see Tinker Bell at Pixie Hollow. She said to herself "If anyone knows where tiny tim is it would be Tinker Bell" > When she got to Pixie Hollow she noticed that she did not get any smaller. She always gets so much smaller when she goes to Pixie Hollow. The little Alice doll is tiny anyways so she was still small enough to get into Pixie Hollow Tinker Bell told Alice that she had not seen "tiny tim" , but that maybe Ariel had seen him.
So Alice went to see Ariel. Ariel said that she had not seen "tiny tim" on this day.
Alice thought she would walk over to Space Mountain to see if "tiny tim" was there. On her way to Space Mountain she saw Pocahontas. Alice asked Pocahontas if she had seen "tiny tim" > Pocahontas said "No I have not. But go in that little book store over there"
On the way to this book store Alice saw Tinker Bell again. Tinker Bell said "Hello Alice" and Alice said "Hello Tinker Bell" > TinkerBell asked Alice "Where are you going?" Alice said "I am going to the book store"
Alice walked inside the book store and when she did she saw Alice again. Alice was sitting down and looking at the little doll. Alice the little doll sat down. Alice said to the little doll "Hello little one" and the little doll said "Hello my friend" Alice said to the little doll "I believe that you came to this book store for something" The little doll said "I came to this book store so I could get back to the Grand Floridian Cafe and see my friend tiny tim again" Alice said to the little doll "Well Alice you are at the Grand Floridian Cafe" The little doll did not understand. Alice said to the little doll "Come let me show you something"
Alice and Alice got up. Alice picked up the doll and walked to a little door. Alice opened the door and walked inside the 1900 Park Fare.
Alice walked over to a table and put the little doll on the table. On the table was a photo in a frame. Alice said to the little doll "Look at the photo" and the little doll looked at the photo. Alice said to the little doll "You see you are at the Grand Floridian Cafe" This is the photo that was in a frame that was on the table. The little doll looked at the photo again and the little doll kept looking at the photo and looking at the photo and looking at the photo and looking at the photo.
When the little doll woke up she was at the Grand Floridian Cafe and tiny tim was there. I am tiny tim. Here is another photo that I took of my tiny little baby
