As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

I posted a couple of months ago about my "fastest album yet". It turned out great (I know, I know. I need to post pictures ) It's a small 6x6 lavendar album with pixie dust on the front. I had all my photos printed small and with a white border. I "wallpapered" each page and just arranged photos. Nothing too creative but I was really behind. It was perfect for my May 08 trip.
Today, I finished a small digital album from my Oct 04 trip. (see I told you that I was behind) I got a freebie offer for an album with 20 pages. I added another 20 pages for a $1 a piece. I'm very happy with the album and the price.
I'm trying to crank out my 1999 album. I had it originally in the peel and stick Yeah, it yellowed a bit. So I've been trying to get a simple one done. (I am so slow)
I have pretty simple album from 02 and pretty good one from 06. In 06, I did an ABC album on black pages. Really looks
I still have to do my MouseFest 07 album but figure that I'll do that this December while everyone is at this years MouseFest.
Soooooo (after all that) I'm leaving for WDW in 3 weeks. I will probably do a digital album again just so I can get it done. What kind of theme should I choose? I have taken so many pictures of Disney... of all of the parks, etc. I know that I'll be taking lots of photos of MNSSHP, the behind the scenes tour at AK (when I'm allowed), PP meets, etc but what else?
After being to WDW several times do you take pic's of the same stuff again and again? Do you come up with a new 'theme' or 'focus' for your album? I usually have a list of pictures that i want to take but besides the MNSSHP, PP, and halloween decor ~ I'm at a loss. Advice, please.

I like to do hidden Mickeys. Last time I went I carried the Hidden Mickey book around with me reading the clues and finding them. I took a good amount of pictures of them and made a bok of just them.
Wow, you are being productive! I'd love to be at the stage of asking "what next?" but I can't ever see that happening. With three weeks to our American trip, I still have to finish our scrapbook of Sue and Steve's visit from May.
Wow, you're really cranking them out! I'm working on our 2008 trip and have one 2007 trip left but am SO far behind on our "regular" family pictures. I can't imagine ever being caught up with the family pictures. If I do, I'll always have childhood pictures I got from my mom and my high school/college photos! Summary: I'll never be caught up!
I find that after you've been to disney so many times, you have the time to slow down and appreciate all the little details. I still do a chronological album of each trip (vs. theme) but I try to take a picture of each ride, sign, or area that I've never taken.
Do an ABC album! Several PP's have done them and posted some of their pages here. They are always so cute!
Did that for the 06 trip. It did turn out really cute.

Well, there are the pictures of the buildings that seem to be the same, and yet better angles and what not (the more I know about the park the more creative I've become)
I've only been three times so far, so everything is still so new. I have decided I'm not going to go picture crazed with a few of the shows this time around, though.
