As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). I have reservations for the Princess Breakfast at Cinderella's Castle. When I made these reservations, I was told that we need to be at the MK 1/2 hour before the reservation time (which is 8:05). We're staying at the Boardwalk Villas. I just called and they said there's a "special bus" for breakfast reservations and it would get us there on time. Does anyone know where I'd find this special bus and what time we need to catch it to get to MK on time? Or should I just ask when we check-in? I'm getting really nervous about the details now. There's this and the Illuminations cruise - no one told me where I need to go for that, either. Thanks for any help.
typically, park buses start running 2 hours prior to park opening. for MK, it's even a little earlier. give yourself enough time (probably be at the MK stop by 7) and you'll be fine. if you're concerned about it, just check with the front desk the night before.
as for the illuminations pontoon, it leaves at the marina by the yacht club. assuming illuminations is at 9, they'll expect you to be there by 8:20 or so. typically they prefer you to call the WDW-PLAY number about 2 weeks prior to the event just to confirm.
The bus stops at the regular bus stop (on the left as you walk towards the parking lot). I'd get there by 7:20 or so to be safe. If you want to feel really safe, take a cab. The cost is worth the peace of mind. I believe the Illuminations cruise boat departs from the same marina as the shuttle boats
There is what they call the "special" bus that runs specifically to get people to early ADRs at breakfasts that start before official park opening. You can ask at the front desk about it and to let them know that you'll need one. (What's nice about this one is that some of the drivers will take you to the hotels too -- like the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's -- as they head on to the parks.
But, as stated above, you can generally get a regular bus that will take you to the parks in time to catch an early ADR.
Once at the park, just look for a sign (usually to the far right at the turnstiles) that is for early breakfast ADRs. Give your last name and they will usher you in.
I have had early reservations for Donald's twice, and no problem no problem getting there on time. Could even make it to MK in time for a 7:30 am tour (and the park opened at 9) [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

The Illuminations boats leave from the Yacht Club marina, which is not the same as the shuttle boat dock. The marina is a bit farther up the boardwalk, on the way to Swan/Dolphin - there's a little, square building right on the edge of the water.
