Help with room/building request...Please... About This Page:

I was hoping someone here could help me with a request for our upcoming trip to POP. We are hopeing for poolside although it is a long shot I know. I have heard the computer pool is quiet compared to the others so I have been thinking that might be a good section to request. We officially have connecting rooms requested but not a specific building or section. There used to be a link to a map site that you could actually see the whole resort layout including rooms amd you could figure out the exact room number to request, but I can't find it now so I am hoping to get some advice from all of you experts here [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.

If you want to be near a pool, I'd suggest the 80's or 90's building to be near the computer pool -- it's great!

It's a fair walk from the food court though, but a quick walk through the parking lot (bad, bad mommy!) to the bus stop.

You would probably be better off requesting a section or building, rather than a specific room number. Let the room controller know what you are looking for, rather than just giving a number, since that room may already be in use while you are there, and the room controller may know of other rooms that would meet your needs just as well, if not better.

I've only stayed at Pop Century once, and we were in the 70's Building A, facing Hourglass Lake. I really enjoyed that room, it was quiet, and a short walk to the main building, the pop jets, and the Hippie Dippie Pool. It was definitely not poolside, however, and I've heard that the lakeside rooms in the 50's and 70's buildings have been added to the preferred view rooms. I had booked a standard. The only downside to this room was the parking situation - it was quite a hike to any parking area, especially with luggage to pull. We found the 80's lot, at the end by the walkway around the lake, was by far the closest to our room.

Are you in a preferred or standard view room? Preferred, you'd be best of in the 60's for poolside. For a standard view, maybe you could request either 80's, Building B, or the 50's Building C poolside?

I've stayed in the 80's near the computer pool and the 50's near the bowling pin pool. Both are nice areas. At the 50's the room actually faced Hourglass Lake but the pool was very close. I enjoyed both my stays there and plan to go back next year. Have fun.
