(This is Main Street by Angie, who is working on art goals here on the blog!)
This has been a personal project to blog every day for a school year on goals and dreams. My hope was that I could find a group of people to work with me.
I was lucky enough to find a small, but sincere group of inspirational people to keep me company. We've been using Walt Disney's philosophies or creations as inspiration.
I am no longer blogging daily, but I am notified if comments are posted, and I'll be happy to keep the discussion going!

Home #5- 15 minutes to Keep it simple.
Today I decided to look at the details of the space I am working on. The LAST thing I want, though, is a project that feels like a big burden.
Here is what I did:
If you look at the space, drawer, or wall that you were working on, can you list a few feelings that you get, or that you would hope to accomplish?
My theme for this space is Sanctuary, but the feelings I'm hoping for are uncomplicated, peaceful, beautiful, regal, and calm.
Can you spend just a few moments in your space and make a list of anything in the area that does not support your theme? List only those things that you could change in a short period of time today.
Here is what I did. I took down a bulky wooden hutch that really didn't belong. I moved a piece of artwork that showed a sleeping cat from the hallway and put it front and center in my room. Then, I took a long spool of tulle that I have for crafts, and I made a cute little canope by circling it around the four posts in the bed. I think it looks nice, and I may keep it.
I also tried put some tulle over the gold curtains in a draping formation. That made the room look like a fairy princess bride had just chugged a large Dunkin Donuts coffee before decorating OR like a bunch of kids could only find tulle on mischief night. I took the tulle on the drapes down.
To be honest, I spent very little time and NO money, and I really LOVE what this did for my room theme.
Please give this a try. Those of you who are PMing or sending messages that you need to put more thought into it...don't think so hard.
Remember, you can decide to find a throw for a couch, a new area rug, or some new flowers to replace a dusty arrangement in a vase.
Thanks to all who gave a shout-out. I hope to hear from you.

Here is simple...I bought some pretty note cards today, they had a beautiful impressionist painting of a bridge and water on them. They will be handy for my work space when I need to send someone a quick note and make a nice looking addition to my drawer of cards. It's nice when I have little things like this on hand and in a convenient place when I need them.0 Pixie Dust

I'm trying to get caught up here, so I'm not actually doing this today, right now, but there are lots of things to work on in my bedroom. Dusting would be one that would be fairly simple, if I could just talk myself into it. Nothing like a nice thick layer of dust (ah-choo!) to take away from the comfort level of a room.0 Pixie Dust
