Transportation (Getting
About) Update
Wilderness Lodge buses
stop at the Polynesian and then the Grand Floridian

stops add about 8 minutes to any trip.
Notes (& Tips) Update
The Wilderness Lodge
Mercantile (gift shop) expanded its space and now offers
more general Walt Disney World merchandise and
foodstuffs.
When you check-in, ask about being a
Flag Family. This is a special privilege given to one
family per day during which the family members help lower
the flag on top of the Wilderness Lodge.

Resort Map Update
Construction for the
Villas at Wilderness Lodge (opening January 2001) is
taking place to the south of the resort. Construction is
proceeding nicely and we didn't notice any significant
drawback to guests staying at Wildeness Lodge unless you
have a woodland view facing south (giving you a view of
the construction).
Best Locations Update
If you have a woodland
view room, request the Magic Kingdom (north) side of the
resort to avoid views of the construction on the other
side of the resort (courtyard and water view rooms don't
need to worry about this).
