Unofficial Disney Web Sites

All the major players are here (or will be here eventually!), organized in their order of relevancy for someone planning a Walt Disney World vacation. Remember that each of these sites are unofficial and the opinions contained in them belong to their owners, not Disney and not us. These sites are indispensable for getting a look at Disney through the eyes of your fellow vacationers... and especially for their opinions which you won't find at Disney's official sites. Even so, if you find a discrepancy between an official page and an unofficial page, it is usually safest to go with the "official line." We should note that even the official webmasters make mistakes however (as we discovered in doing the research for the PassPorter Walt Disney World travel guide).

DisneyZone	Very large site with lots of WDW information and photos.	Maps, maps, maps! Best source of maps on the Web.
Joanne's Walt Disney World Homepage	Large site with lots of information on WDW, resorts, parks, meals, maps, and tips, plus info for guests with disabilities, Character greetings, tours, surveys, and loads more!	A message board to ask questions!	Planning information for UK visitors.	and a Word of "Mouse" Award Winner!
Priority Seating (PS) Planning Guide	A wonderfully useful site that offers a calculator for determining when to call for priority seating at Walt Disney World restaurants!	Links to other Disney planning calculators and tools.	A comprehensive Priority Seating FAQ and Announcement Service. You can even create your own priority seating planning report!
LaughingPlace.com	A huge site offering news, information, and reviews on all things Disney! A dedicated Walt Disney World section contains updates, articles, links, and message boards.	Extensive list of Disney-related Web sites, including a handy search feature!	An excellent description of E-Ride Nights at the Magic Kingdom.
The Unofficial Magic Trips Information Guide	Extensive site (400+ pages) for vacation planning, with information on virtually every aspect of a good Disney vacation. We can't describe everything they have -- visit them to see for yourself!	Resort maps and a fun countdown page.	ATM locations, height restriction charts
Brian Bennett's Trip Planner, Disney Trip Reports, and Disney Vacation Club	Very up-to-date and extensive set of Web sites. We highly recommend you pay a visit to Brian's sites during your trip planning.	Offers QUIKLINKS to Disney news, WDW phone directory, critiques of Disney guide books, and more!	The most extensive collection of trip reports, sorted and organized for easy retrieval. Also excellent planning information in his Trip Planner.
MouseMemories Scrapbooking Store	A popular destination for Disney- and not-so-Disney-oriented scrapbookers, run by Barbara and Brian Bennett (see Brian's sites, above).	A scrapbookers' message board, and the Page Layout Gallery	This site may not help with trip planning, but it's a candy shop for scrapbook planners.
Badger's Disney Countdown Page	A fun Disney-dedicated Web site with games, music, trip reports, surveys, and best of all, the countdown tool!	You can enter your family's vacation date and Badger's page will count down the days until you depart! Very popular!	The trip reports are helpful -- read about others vacations and get good tips for your own. Also a great Disney link section you can search.
Vegetarian Dining at Walt Disney World	If you're vegetarian, you can't afford not to visit this site before you go to Walt Disney World. Carole offers easy-to-use charts referencing every restaurant on property offering a vegetarian meal.	Complete menus for each restaurant with veggie dishes.	Restaurant charts include type, meals offered, price ranges, ratings for the last several years.
Tara's Disney Vacation Planning Guide	A gentle introduction to WDW vacation planning. Unfortunately, it's now a bit out-of-date.	Wonderfully detailed trip reports.	Good packing list and a list of basic resort information.
