As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Hello All,
I am finally back to do by TR from my trip in October 2013. I would have started this earlier but lives got in the way and before I knew it the holidays and then the end of the year were here.
Quick recap of people going:
Me (Crystal- 40) - Here to celebrate my 40th birthday, which was just a couple of days before our trip
DH (Errett-41) –Here to help me celebrate my birthday in the greatest way possible
Saturday October 19th- Arrival Day
I awoke at 3am and jumped in the shower and once I got out I woke up DH so he could take his shower. I quickly got ready and started packing up any last minute items. We were out of the house and headed for the airport by 5:30 am.
We got to the airport and got thru security pretty easy and got settled at our gate and got some Duncan donuts and water for breakfast. We had a pretty easy flight and arrived at 11am at MCO. We quickly found our way to DME and stopped real quick to pull our magic bands out of my carry on bag. We used them to check in with no issues. We got to our hotel about 12:30 and was able to get into a room that was available.
We stopped in Café Rio to get a quick lunch as we were starving (sorry no pictures). Once we finished eating we found our room and got situated with what we had and notified everyone that we had arrived safely. After resting for a while we got a text that our garden grocer order had arrived and got that delivered by 3:30pm.
Once I put away all of the items we headed out to catch a bus to DTD. We waited for about 15 to 20 minutes for a bus. We arrived and found Team Mickey and traded in the voucher for our photopass card. We walked around a little bit more making our way towards West End as we had 6pm tickets to La Nouba. We arrived at about 5pm and sat down and rested until they started letting people in at 5:30. We had great seats and really enjoyed the show.
After the show we looked around the show store before heading towards Paradiso 37 where we had reservations at 8:15. The food was absolutely great and we were able to get a table out on the patio to enjoy the view.

Once dinner was over we walked around a while longer and happened upon the lady in red.
I started getting real tired so we decided to head back to the room. We were very lucky as we got to the stop for Coronado Springs a bus was pulling up and even though a lot of people were standing waiting already we were able to get on. Once we got back to the room our luggage had arrived. I quickly unpacked and got ready for bed. I was out by 11pm.
Best things from today:
-Getting the Happy Birthday button and wearing it and everyone telling me happy birthday. I never get tired of that LOL!!!
-Getting the call from Mickey and Minnie telling me happy birthday.

Today was one of our free days. When we first started talking about this trip we were planning to also go to Universal Studio’s on this day so I could go see the Harry Potter World. After much thinking I decided it was just not worth it and we could do a short trip later to do just Universal. So, this day was really up in the air and a do what ever we felt like doing day.
I awoke at about 7:15 and lay there for a while. I finally turned on the TV once I realized I was not going back to sleep and watch Alice in Wonderland the one with Johnny Depp in it. I also worked on my notes from the day before and tried to organize things from the day before while Errett was still sleep.
Errett finally woke about 8:30 and started getting ready while I was still doing things and then I started to get ready for the day. We were out of the room by 10:30 and had decided that we were going to go over to Epcot but as we got near the bus stop we realized the Epcot bus was pulling away so we waited on the next bus to come and the next bus was for Hollywood Studios so we said what the heck and got on the bus.

When we got to the park we had to first go one of Errett’s favorite rides “Star Tours”. I know the next time I need some Dramamine for this ride I was very nauseous after I got off. Next we started to head over to Animation Courtyard but they were letting in for the 12:15 show of American Idol so we went in and watched.

After American Idol we did go over to the Animation Studio where we got pictures with Mr. Incredible, Mickey, & Minnie.

Once we left there we had lunch at pizza planet. We both had the meatball with caesar salad & chocolate chip cookies (sorry no photo’s we were very hungry).
Next we decided to Lights, Motors, & Action as this was our first time seeing this because it was opening the day after we left on my last trip years ago. I loved this show and can’t wait to go back and see it again. Next we headed over to The Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow but it was a 45-minute wait so we decided to wait and do it on Tuesday when we were coming back. Since it was right there we went to so Walt Disney’s: One Man Dream.

[IMG][/IMG]
After that we headed to Voyage of the little Mermaid. This was a great show and will defiantly be a must do one my next trip. Once we got out of the show it was raining a little but so we decided to find a place to eat. We ended up at the ABC Commissary. We both had burgers and fries (sorry no pictures) and Errett got the seasonal carrot cake cupcake. He said it was all right I don’t like carrot cake so I did not try any of this. After he finished eating he says I really wish I had a wet wipe so I pulled out a packet out of my bag and he looks at me and is like “REALLY”. If I ask for a spaceship you got one in there also?
[IMG][/IMG]
[IMG][/IMG]
After we finished eating it had stopped raining so we walked around the stores for a while and then about 8:30 decided to head on back to the hotel. Once we got back to the hotel I had a nice little surprise waiting for me !!!!!
I am now a PRINCESS!!!!!! I always thought I was one but was only 99.9% sure because birds don’t talk to me LOL!!!!
At the time I was taking an online photography class so I uploaded my assignment and did the fastpasses for Monday day on my ipod touch and then I got ready for bed, as I was totally exhausted.
Here are pictures of my surprise by my great husband. I had seen this in other people's TR's and had shown it to my husband and from that he just ran with it.
