As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!
Best wishes for a wonderful and magical new year!

Re: The Grand Fiesta 10th Anniversary Trip Report - THREAD 2 Day 3 Done Updated 9/15
<font color="blue"> Day 6 – Wednesday, August 16th – Little Ones EMH and what do you mean it’s full?
We had an early wake up call this morning, at 6:45. It was EMH morning at MK, for the Little Ones EMH. This meant only Fantasyland was open, supposedly for families with kids under 5. Of course, Disney doesn’t discriminate, and they would never turn anyone away
We made it down to the bus stop just after 7:15, and a bus was waiting We were soon on our way to the MK. They let us thru the turnstiles a little after 7:45, but held us up before the tunnels to Main Street. Behind me there were some guests talking about going to BTMRR first, then Splash, then head over to Space Mountain. Um Only Fantasyland was open But I didn’t want to burst their bubble In retrospect, I don’t think Disney did a good promotion of what was open and not, because on the resort TVs, you’d see EMH at MK. If you didn’t have little ones knowing that only Fantasyland was going to be opened, you were probably in for a rude awakening
Anyhoo, the ropes dropped and we made the mad dash to Dumbo. As we made our way thru the castle, there were hoards of characters everywhere We managed to make it on the second ride of the day for Dumbo Stitch was on the first ride, and then he got off.
That was the take all around, as there were lots of characters on the rides this morning! After Stitch, we headed for Peter Pan. Wendy and Peter were outside chasing all the children around
We hopped over to IASW, and were the only ones in our boat Then it was time for the Carousel. We snagged Cindy’s horse again
Winnie the Pooh was the next direction, which was great as Alexa wouldn’t ride this without a major battle on our last trips! It was pretty much a walk on.
That pretty much finished off Fantasyland for us, and it was time for breakfast. We made our way back to the Main Street bakery to get some food! Now, if you’re using a CS credit for breakfast, this is the place to get the most bang for your buck. The CM said you could get any 2 (ANY 2) things and a drink. We got a huge cinnamon roll, an egg sandwich, a French toast loaf (my first time having this ) and a plain bagel. With 2 large Sprites. The total would have come to over $20 (sorry, it’s all zeros on my receipt and Deb’s site doesn’t break them all down). Definitely a great value We also went back and got a fruit cup for Colin, and used a snack credit for that.
We sat at one of the tables across from the Plaza restaurant. After stuffing ourselves yet again (do you see a theme with this dining plan ) we headed towards Buzz to get Fastpasses. Again, Matt’s ticket was giving the machine fits, so the CM pushed a special button and out popped one for him We rode the Indy cars (typical 20 minute wait but we were thru in 10), and went to Goofy’s Barnstormer (no line). We stopped at Donald’s Boat so the kids could run around, and had a frozen lemonade as well (snack credit).
Our FP time for Buzz had arrived, so we mosied over there. I forget the scores, but again I think I had the highest My luck was changing
Now what to do Alexa wanted to ride Aladdin, so we made our way over to Adventureland. Aladdin was pretty much a walk-on, and we were happy to be sprayed by the spitting camel Matt was ready to go, but Alexa’s last request was Mickey’s Philharmagic. I told her we’d come back for it earlier, because I wasn’t going to waste precious EMH time seeing the show Before we ventured over there, we stopped for another ice cream. I didn’t notice until I sat back down with the kids that the CM only charged me for one ice cream and not two Colin had an Itsakadoodle and Alexa her usual Nestle Toll House Sandwich.
We finally made it to MP and welcomed the air conditioning. They certainly packed people in, as we were crammed all the way over on one side. And we almost didn’t get a seat in the theater A great show as usual, and we could finally leave the MK (much to my chagrin)!
We had a bit of a wait at the bus stop, but Colin and Alexa entertained themselves with the ducks. They were spraying them and blowing them with their mister fans.
Upon entering the BC lobby, who should we see, but Art the Greeter No one would take a picture with me, so I ended up with this!
Then it was back to the room, for some Lego time and pool. This time, I made everyone take their naps first, and if we had to cut the pool time short, so be it. I wasn’t going to deal with cranky people again Once at the pool, we spent a lot of time in the whirlpool area, and we all actually went down the big slide (including Colin). Boy, that thing hurts your back as you slide down it But we had fun, so it was worth it. And the line wasn’t too bad either.
Coming Up Next.......An interesting meal and what do you mean it's full

Great updates. Sorry your Breathless surprise didn't go over so well, but it sounds like you all enjoyed it anyway. Spoodles? Now I want to make my own sundae! EMH sounded fun with all the characters out and about. Naps make all the difference, don't they?
