10 Nights of Magic in The Orlando Trifecta-TR - COMPLETE!! 12/10 - Page 87 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I am absolutely in love with Flight of Passage! I know others have motion issues with it which is such a bummer because the scenery and just breathtaking! You did a great job with your photos capturing the beauty of this land too. Yes, I'm so sad about Passporter closing down. I'm glad you joined the group on Facebook though.
Yes, it's been quite the few days with the announcement about the boards. However, I am so glad you've joined us over on Facebook and will be posting your future trip reports there.
Great photos of Pandora. Isn't Flight of Passage amazing? Even though it messed with both our heads and we'll probably never ride it again because of that, I'm glad we got to experience it.
So am I to be over there and just will read your guidelines for posting and all should be well. FOP was just spectacular in every way for the ride itelf and all you were feeling and seeing! Too bad it messed with the two of you.

I'm so glad you enjoyed FOP! We got to ride it twice on our trip, well I did, and the 2nd time I got tears in my eyes on just how beautiful the scenery was.
It certainly was and just wished I could of gotten another ride in! Well, next trip!

Beautiful pictures from Pandora! Lunch looks delicious! Glad you had a great day at AK!
Pandora is just amazing in every way! Lunch was better than I thought from a CS eatery, But WDW does have some good ones!

I don't know how you can't be as amazing in every way, unless it bothers you in some way! Glad you like the photos. Quite happy I'll be over on FB to read the TRS and share my future ones as well as continuing our great PP community!

Glad you enjoyed them! Pandora is amazing as unlike any other part of WDW. You will be amazed and spend as much time as you can taking it all in the first time!

It's a shame, but at least we got to try it and, on the bright side, we don't have to worry about massive lines for it!
I am glad to hear that you loved Flight of Passage! It is definitely my favorite ride anywhere right now, I just love it! I am also glad to hear that you’ve joined Facebook and the new trip report groups on there, because I would certainly miss reading your excellent trip reports!
FOP is amazing in every way and to me it's a perfect ride and experience from the thrills, scenery and Soarin' (SIC) over the land of Avatar!
Thanks for the comments regarding FB and looking forward to posting my TRs there and so happy you love mine so much! It will be after New Years until my New One as I have to finish the current one first and get used to everything with the posting on FB. I'm sure it will be fine!

Friday, October 13th (Part III) Once I returned to my room at the Dolphin, I began packing for my flight home tomorrow. There wasn’t a lot to do for this as it was just reorganizing a lot of things and setting aside things I would need for tomorrow.
After this I called Mears Transportation to make a pickup reservation to Orlando International Airport for tomorrow. My flight is at 5:30 pm and I set a pickup by shared van for 2:40 pm. While, I was in my room I received an email notification from Jet Blue that I can now check in for my flight. I did this on the app and it works rather well. I also paid for my bag charge of $25.
I still had about 90 minutes until I had to leave for my ADR, which would also be another local eatery like last night at Blue Zoo. I didn’t have to worry about transportation as I can walk there. The plan is to leave in about 30 minutes from now and have a beverage before dinner. In the meantime, I just watched some TV and took a few photos of the nice view from my room.
Friendship Boat departing for Hollywood Studios with a stop at Dolphin first
At about 6:30 pm or a bit before I headed out of the Dolphin through the back exit of the resort and to the Boardwalk for dinner. I would be dining at Flying Fish tonight. I was looking forward to this as this would be my first time here since the restaurant and menu was reimagined. The reviews of Flying Fish have been generally very positive. I’ve dined here in the past and have had mostly good experiences but some a bit mixed, but nothing too bad.
Boardwalk Inn Villas
My resort from the walkway connecting the Swan resort
Quite a colorful sky, but looks ominous!
Interesting view of Spaceship Earth from The Boardwalk
The lights are coming up as nighttime is beginning to set in
I can never have too many photos of this area as so photo worthy!
Oh, that sky now!
I’ve always liked the neon sign of Flying Fish!
Arrival on The Boardwalk and close to my first destination
When I arrived on the Boardwalk it was quite active as it usually is in the early evening and for the next few hours up until after Illuminations. The sky was looking more threatening by the minute and it looked like they were about to open any time now. I wasn’t worried as I was heading indoors shortly before dinner and I had easy access to dinner from inside there.
This post got longer than I thought and I will continue this on the next one as my teaser doesn’t fit in with this but will on my next one!
NEXT: That Was Just So Cool!
