As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Loving it. But hate to break it to you sweetie. Some of us have way more trunk than you...that we can't even walk down the plane aisles with hips out!
Thanks!
Cheeser, I have had this dang junk in my trunk since my teen years...and evidently I'm a pack rat, because I it keeps getting bigger! I have vowed to start dieting and exersising and lose at least 20 lbs by next years cruise. I totally know what you mean about plane aisle. I think I leave with brusied hips.
I have been doing a little shopping the last couple of days...for Christmas/birthdays. Claire's b-day is in Dec. and my one neice is in Jan. Claire is outgrwoing her Disney themed costumes at a very fast rate, and neither of my sister's DD's have anything....well my neice dressed as Cinderella one year and my sister thinks she still has it and little Abby, who will be 3 when we cruise next year will most likely fit into that So I have been on the hunt for something unique, along with pirate costumes. Claire dressed up as a pirate at the age of 3 and my sister said she would like to use that for Abby. I still have it, so that works out great. My sister also wanted to borrow any of the dresses that Claire had worn over the years that would possibly fit Abby...sure thing...except....I sold them all. I told her I just had a closet full of costumes, so over the past year I ended up selling them. The only one I had left was a small Cinderella one, which is when she told me she still had the one from Alexis at that age. So today I got another email from the costume shop I frequent online and they were having sales...along with a percentage off, and I once again looked around. And decided on this for Claire. I actually got her the preteen size as the regular kids sizes was reviewed as running very small.
And I thought...why not go with a theme here and have all 3 girls dress up with this "theme" one night for dinner. So Alexis, who will be 8 at the time of the cruise, will be getting this one.
And for Abby (who will be 3 then )
I actually liked 2 other different Alice costumes better, but 1 didn't come in her size and the other was WAY more than I was willing to spend. I also had to NOT allow myself to buy the cute assessories that they had, like purses and a wand for the Queen of Hearts. I DID however buy both Claire and Alexis the black leggings, like shown in the Queen of Hearts picture.
Yesterday I was doing my pirate costume search. I have been looking off and on for a few weeks. I didn't want to fall in love with something and pay alot for it, so I just kept looking and hoped that at least after Halloween I would find something decent. I figured $20 was going to be my limit for this costume. I also wanted to find something new, but could live with used if it looked good. (Claires one costume that Abby will be wearing was bought used and it was in great shape) After looking through costume sites and through ebay off an on, I found something I liked yesterday. Actually I had seen this costume over and over, but the price wasn't right for me yet. This one on ebay was for $15, New, and free shipping. Also they had several in the buy in now section and the size would be good. (a little big now, but with room to grow) I emailed my sister and asked if she liked it and if she did I would get it for Alexis as well and give it to her for Christmas or her birthday. My sister liked it and so I made the purchase!
I am hoping Claire's Cinderella dress will still fit her next year and she can take that as well. I doubt the Rapunzel dress will, and iffy on the Mary Poppins one. We also have a red Belle dress that Claire hasn't worn to the parks yet that may still fit her then as well. Mom has mentioned she may buy each girl a dress as we get closer to the time too. So I'll have to keep my eyes open for new ideas. And yes, I wasn't writing my update because I was shopping online!

I actually like another Queen of Hearts dress better and have debated getting it for the past year for Claire. But it's like $44, more than I want to spend. I think if it does go on cleanrance and in her size, I may buy it...eventually. This QofH was $19.99 plus 20% off.

I headed back to my room to change. I was sticky and hot as well.
I had a key that didn’t want to work the first try….and sometimes the 2nd or third. At one time I thought I might be at the wrong room and it finally connected.
I got freshened up and took a few more pictures of the room (which I posted earlier) and then decided to head over towards the Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks, and then on to the Toy Story area and take some pictures before I met up with Tom and Karin.
I also grabbed my tripod and attached it to my bag. This was a make shift attachment and became a pain in the rear lugging it around.
As you can see in this next picture, it was clouding up a bit.
