As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

Great updates, Janice! I am cracking up at Wilfred. I have strange people get in with me on the Pooh ride too! None of them ever narrated, though. What fun you all are having! Can't wait to hear more (and that Pooh is pretty cuddly looking)

So today, thursday, Holly joins us.
She was staying at her Dad's who lives in Lake Mary. He and his wife Betsy drove her to the resort. I told her they knew at the front desk she was checking in and she had to pay the extra 15.00 per night which was 45.00 for her, of course we all divided it. She had already paid her portion before we arrived.
Well she goes to check in, and I gave her the wrong room #, I told her 7423 instead of
umm there was no room 7423, I got a text from her saying I was an idiot... nice huh?? lol, thats holly but she is just joking around
anyway after that fiasco, she got checked in, I was starving, I said go to the room yourself. unpack and meet us
I wanted breakfast-
I got my mickey waffles
of course I got the kids meal, I hate the Pepper market is it? the one you sit down and they bring your coffee... and tack on 20%-- not a fan! then you gotta tip them on top of it? boooo to that setup.
So Holly got her stuff all in the room and met us back at the lobby.
She was hungry so she wanted a hard boiled egg.. they told her they DID NOT MAKE THEM!! well another fiasco! Lisa told her to get the manager, because Disney is always accomodating when it comes to food, the chef came out, and finally about a half hr later, she got her hard boiled egg.. waste of time.
We finally got on the bus and headed to DHS for the day
we had Lunch adr's at Mama Melrose.
First thing we headed to was TSMM and once again, walked right on.
umm yeah more 3-d glasses self portraits..
my low score again... I really am not good at these games
after that we went on star tours
um yes more self portraits..
We then headed over to our favorite hotel
and while in line... you know what we did
and now.. I kept my camera out, for the ride, I wanted those pics inside the ride.
before going up
after our ride it was getting to be lunch time. We headed over to Mama Melrose and checked in.
I had Stella!

Lisa's (here we go again) STUFF.. it was a flatbread pizza???
well someone can identify it.

everything else was great. me and Holly wasted calories on this?? ugh
after lunch I was texting with Joey we were going to meet at Tune in Lounge for a FAB
WHY LOOKIE!! its Molly, me, Travis and Joey!
and Molly thank you for the beer!
it was super hot out, and a nice cold drink inside was heaven.
We chatted for a bit, drank a drink then said our so longs..
I really enjoyed meeting these guys! They crack me up!
After our drinks me and the girls headed over to the animation place (whatever its called, and got our pics with characters.
First up- UP.
THEN off to see my beloved -
then took some random pics
then after that, we took a spin on rnrc
we had 6pm or so ressies for Raglan Road this night
so Holly wanted to go to AK on the Safari
We got there just in time to be stopped by the parade on the way
Then off on our 2 week safari before our ressies
I wont post a ton of those, we all know what they look like
after our safari was cut short on our way out we saw this guy , all proud, and look at me, i am king of the animal kingdom was his attitude
yeah... I bet if he had a camera he'd be doing self portraits 1000 times worse than me!!
After that we left, went back to our room to freshen up, I wanted to change. Jen and Lisa had already taken the bus there when we got back.
I changed real quick then off we went

then time for Raglan Road, it was a nice night so we sat outside
my beer, some blonde ale stuff, wasnt too fond of it.

we have some questionable photos of Mr Raglan Road statue, I wont post them here, they are however on my facebook..

after that we went to WOD
Now, Holly, always the picture taker for others! she will stop anyone and say, Let me take a pic of all of you...
well this guy didnt have all his batteries charged I think and his camera did not work
then we went to the Christmas store and took some silly pictures
and a group shot
a blurry one...
After that we decided to call it a night.
we headed back to our room to rest up for our Epcot F&WF day
coming up: FOOD BEER AND MORE FOOD, and my boyfriend for 45 mins with bad hair extensions...

OK nobody answered the trivia ?? Was it The Grand adventures of Winnie the Pooh ride? Janice how in the world do you stay so thin?????? All that food (with cheese yummmmmm) and.....beer(yummmmmm)..... You must have a great metabolism or work out like a crazy woman Love Love Love the update!!!!

ugh right now if I dont start working out I will rolling to disney next week lol
well all the disney calories do not count and here is why- when on vacation in disney there are NO calories... why you ask? because you walk it off. there are also no calories on birthdays whether your own or someone else.. thats my story and I am sticking to it lol
