Girls Trip to the World! TR COMPLETED 11/9 Wedding Pictrues Posted - Page 7 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

More great pictures! looks like yummy meals at Tokyo Dining and the Commissary!
Thanks. Taking pictures is one of my favorite things to do at WDW! Then I usually set them as my screensaver on my computer so I can see them all the time. Helps me to remember the fun times!
I think the big smiles on everyones faces in all the pictures illustrates what a wonderful time you were all having!
Sorry that the real world intruded in on the fun--and a septic inspection is about as real as it gets, no?
Looking forward to more! (Fun, not the real world stuff...)

You are right! I was so glad she was able to get it resolved so we could get back to our happy place!!
Day 3 – part 2
After lunch we took a few photos under the sorcerer's hat and then headed over to the Great Movie Ride.
As we entered the queue area, it seemed like a long line, but we realized part way through that there were two separate lines snaking around, so the wait was not too long. We ended up in the front of two loading vehicles, and were able to experience the Western scene, rather than the gangster scene! I can never resist taking pictures in GMR!
After GMR we rode TSM with our FPs.
The CMs were intrigued with Liz’s tattoo.
This was Kate and Liz’s first time for TSM and both had lots of fun.
On our way out of this area we stopped for a picture of Phineas and Ferb. We didn’t do the meet and greet, but Katie wanted their picture to show to the girls she nannies, as they LOVE that show.
Then we walked over to the Animation building for the Magic of Disney Animation. On the way a picture of Katie’s favorite mermaid:
This animation show with Mushu is so cute and one of my favorites. When we exited we got in line for photos with Mickey.
We got in line for Pooh, but decided we’d see him again at CP, so we opted out of that M&G. Just took this picture in the queue area.
Instead, we waited for the drawing class. It was about a 20 minute wait, but we were chatting with a CM who was manning the ropes, so time went by quickly. Once we got in and seated, we found out we would draw Tigger.
We were hot and tired, so decided it was time to head for POR. We waited about 10 minutes for a bus, and were on our way. When we got to POR, we stopped at Riverside Mill for some ice cream. This was quite an ordeal. The people in front of us ordered milkshakes which were taking a very long time to make. While the CM was making them, another CM came over to help expedite the order line. Liz ordered a Mickey Bar and was served right away; I ordered a cone, which she gave me in a dish by mistake. When I told her, she was going to throw it out and make me a new one! I told her to just put a cone on top of it, which she questioned at first, but eventually agreed to do. Katie ordered a milkshake and had the longest wait. We ended up checking out one at a time, Liz with her Mickey bar first, me a few minutes later and Katie bringing up the rear, 8 minutes later.
Some more resort pictures:
Then we spent some time at the quiet pool, which again was not that quiet. I'm wondering why they call it that?! There were lots of kids in the pool with pool noodles and balls and it was actually quite loud.
Anyway, we sat and read for a bit and took turns getting cooled off in the pool. At 5:30 we went back to the room to change for dinner. We left the room at 6:30 and headed to the marina to catch a boat to DTD. Tonight’s dinner was at Raglan Road!
Great pictures from GMR and the queue at TSMM! Love the details you captured. Wonder what was going on in the preparations of milk shakes this day??? The quiet pool looked quite busy, so I cannot imagine it being quiet at all. Can't wait to hear about dinner at Raglan Road.

All three of us had cameras and were snapping at different things, so when I compiled all the pictures, I was glad to see that Liz and Katie had some really nice pictures of things that I had either not seen, or not bothered to take a picture of.
Yeah, the ice cream line was outrageous! I guess everyone had the same idea that afternoon. And for a time there was only 1 person behind the counter taking orders and making them.
As for the pool, I guess people just found it easier to go to that pool rather than walk to Ol' Man Island for the main pool. One day I took a walk to the main pool to get a lava smoothy at the bar and I think it was not as crowded as the quiet pool! Although there was some sort of trivia game going on over by the lifeguard, so maybe most kids were over there and not in the water.
Great pics of the queue at TSM! And what does her tattoo say? Looking forward to your take on Raglan Road.
Liz's tattoo is the first line of the Lord's Prayer, in German. One of the CMs commented on it and asked what it said. When she told him he said, "Oh we should get ______ (don't remember her name) over here to read it. She's from Germany."
Sounds like a great day so far. That surf and turf burger intrigues me, what exactly is the surf? Might be adding yet another place to try on my list for next family trip in 3 years!

The "surf" is the battered shrimp (two pieces I think) that they skewer on the top of the bun.
Sounds great so far!!! I know what you mean about touring changing depending on who you are with. It's a completely different trip I'm planning with the boys because DH won't be there.

Exactly! There are certain things DH isn't interested in that the girls and I did, or vice versa. Makes it interesting!
