10 Nights of Magic in The Orlando Trifecta-TR - COMPLETE!! 12/10 - Page 6 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I've actually found the limit is 500 - after that, it throws back a lot of errors, but I've regularly uploaded 300-400+ photos in one go.
All I did was went to "albums" on the top bar and then created them - be careful though, what I have discovered is once you've created an album, it is difficult to go back and edit them and add more in, so be sure you've got all the photos you want for your album at the beginning....
Thanks for the info and assistance and will let you know how it goes. Subfolders are key as it makes posting the photos in my TRs much easier. That way I don't have to scroll through hundreds of photos when doing this, especially when I get later into the TR. Having each day as a sub folder of the trip folder is much better. Also makes few folders as they'll increase in time on Flikr.

What I've found is if you upload them in the right order, all you do is just go from one to the next. The key is getting them in the right order when you create the album. The vast majority upload that way, so I usually just have to play with a couple.

That's good to know and should help.

I was hoping to get my most recent TR from last month started today but to no avail! I had a lot of housework to do today as I was away last weekend in Philadelphia at a friends house to see a Bob Dylan concert and will be working tomorrow as well for the holiday as usually a day off for me. The other thing being the boards being down since midnight Saturday and couldn't post until nearly 7pm and I think I had the first on DMA's TR. It may be a few days until I get this started unfortunately, but will be worth the wait.
My four night stay at USF has 673 photos alone, so something to look forward to!
Flikr is working well and I was able to create the sub folders, which I wanted to do and make it easier with the organizational process. It worked out to my advantage and very happy with the results! Thanks to Cheryl, Google searches and Flikr Help for the process. All good now!
The upload process on Flikr is slow but worked out for the most part with one minor exception with a video, but all else good so far. One video uploads sideways for some reason but on my phone and PC it looks fine. Can't figure this out.
Much more to upload with 6 full days at WDW and departure day as well!

My TR from my most recent trip is now underway. Includes: Universal Studios Florida, Disney World and Sea World Orlando Trifecta TR -Updated December 10th! TR is now COMPLETED!
Well, I’ve been back for over a month and I can finally get this TR underway as I needed to finish my TR from last year first. I also had to organize and edit my photos and get them uploaded to Flikr, which I’m getting used to and like it so far. It takes a bit more work, but will be worth it with a huge storage limit and it’s free! Just hope it stays that way.
Here are the specifics!
Who: Just myself
When: October 4-14 2017
Where: Universal Studios Florida, Sea World Orlando and Walt Disney World Resort
Resorts: Loew’s Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios and the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort in the Epcot Resorts area
Meets: Dinner with a couple of Passporters on Day 3
Activities: Universal Studios Parks, Sea World, Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights, WDW Parks, Disney Springs, Epcot Food & Wine Festival, Dining, New Experiences and some Special Events
Here’s my PTR, in case you haven’t had a chance to catch up on the planning of this Orlando Trifecta adventure!
Now that I have given you a few details as well as a link to the PTR in case you’ve forgotten about my plans, I can get this TR going! I’m looking forward to sharing another adventure and hope everyone enjoys it! This will be TR #7 including two PTRs!
Wednesday, October 4th (Part I) My alarm went off at the insane hour of 3 a.m.! I got up right away as I had a great day ahead of me. I had a quick breakfast and finished up packing a few items that I couldn’t pack prior to this morning. I double checked to make sure I was ready to go and had everything I needed and all was good! My pickup from my work colleague Sharon isn’t until 4:30 am, so I had some time to go on the boards to read some TRs and post a bit.
It was now 4:15 am and I locked up my place and made sure I took care of everything I needed to and especially the schedule on my thermostat. It’s been warm lately, so I just turned it off as my unit shouldn’t get too warm or cold.
Sharon arrived on time at 4:30 am and I put my bags in her SUV and we were on our way to Westchester County Airport! It’s not a long drive from my house and takes about thirty minutes. I can never get used to it being so dark on these departure days as kind of weird. I’m glad I do this as I get a full day to spend on my first vacation day. We arrived at the airport at 4:55 am and she wished me well and would pick me up on my return as well. Told her that I hoped I wouldn’t have a four hour delay this time!
I entered the small airport and checked in my bags for my flight as I had done online check in last night. The wait in line was about twenty minutes and more than the larger airports like JFK are as they don’t have as many agents working the counters. I dropped off my bags and had over thirty minutes until my flight boards. The security line wasn’t long, so it should be quick. I also have the Extra Speed with the security line with my Jet Blue ticket and will probably be close to the front of the line.
Looks like my flight is on time!
From the observation room, upstairs in the terminal
Still looking good!
At 5:45 am I walked over to the security line and the small hallway on the left, which is the Even More Speed line. There was no one in front of me. They checked my I.D. and ticket and then went through security, which only took a few minutes. Much better than at Orlando with those long lines! The gates are just past security, which is another great thing about a small airport.
The waiting area was quite crowded and I think they said we had a full flight or close to it. They began the boarding process at 5:55 am and of course I was one of the first to board with my Even More Space seat, which is worth the extra cost at about $45, if I’m correct. I had a window seat and in 1A just like last October.
It was a full flight and took a while for everyone to board, but they locked up the plane rather quickly at 6:15 am. We began to taxi away from the gate for a few minutes to the runway to takeoff for Orlando. Even though it’s a small airport, it does take several minutes of taxiing.
Surprisingly, there were two other flights ahead of us, so there was a small wait, but we’d still take off on time at 6:30 am. Soon, it was our turn and we began to accelerate down the runway and then we were in the air on the way to Orlando! The captain mentioned that we should arrive a good twenty minutes early.
Picking up speed on the runway with the sun finally coming up!
Sorry, that it’s a little blurry
Over Westchester County, NY just after take off
After a few more minutes in the air and increasing our altitude, this was the sight that greeted me! Too bad the sun wasn’t up yet, but still love it!
Over Manhattan island. Can you find the Empire State Building
Borough of Queens, NY and Long Island. Beautiful sight with the beginning of a sunrise!
Amazing view and I guess I picked the right seat!
I believe this is over southern New Jersey and the Wildwood and Cape May regions.
High up above the clouds after reaching our cruising altitude of 33,000 feet.
After taking many photos of the views outside, I relaxed for a bit and watched some Direct TV. I watched the news mostly and extensive coverage about the Las Vegas shooting massacre a few days ago.
The flight attendants came around and began snack service. I had a cup of coffee and some Terra Chips, which was good to hold me over for a bit. After this I got a bit of a nap in for about twenty minutes.
Shortly, the plane began to descend as we approached the Orlando area from northern Florida. Usually, we approach from the coast and the St. Augustine area, but this time we came in far west of this area.
Getting closer and just a few minutes more!
A most familiar and welcome sight of Orlando International Airport!
Touchdown in Orlando and earlier than the original 9:11 arrival at 8:35 am. Always a good thing!
It took several minutes to taxi to the satellite terminal and our gate, but not too bad.
Not my gate, but soon.
Arriving at our gate
We had to wait a couple of minutes until they pulled the retractable walkway up to the plane. Just a matter of getting it right. I grabbed my bag from the bin above and just waited a bit, until we could depart the plane. In almost no time they opened the door of the plane and I was one of the first people off.
Certainly, on time and the way to start a great vacation!
NEXT: I Don’t Want to Wait, I Want the Parks!

What a wonderful coworker! I don’t think any of my coworkers would come get me and take me to the airport at 4:30 am. She sounds like a special person.
