As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears

Moving on with the current of the years.

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). I agree, I think that would be the smartest move. I'm not sure the house is ready to make it though unfortunately.
I would have to agree with this too. It seems like they base a lot of friendships and who they like, as opposed to game strategy....until someone pisses off or betrays someone...and then sometimes it's too late by then. I think that there is so much we don't see unless you watch the feeds that. I wish I could say something that has nothing to do with anything other than personal relationships in the game, not about game play, strategy, or comps. I will just say this...
I was shocked to find out that a potential romance between what we as regular viewers see....is not at all what is seems to be. In fact, the true potential romance is between one of those people, and someone else in the house! It's the way BB has skewed it to look. I HATE that, and I hate hearing it too.
If the guys were smart, they would get rid of Caleb, as he is the biggest threat. Using the girls to get the votes they want, and then pick the girls off. If they don't play it right, I might be rooting for the girls simply bc of that.

Yeah, I think that Cody was dumb not to put Caleb up, and to put Donny up instead?? Ugh. I was disappointed that Derrick was advocating for Caleb to stay, but I hope it works out for him.
I agree with you about Caleb needing to let the Amber thing go. I think that he just wanted the money. That is the impression I got from it. I don't think he cared who went home, and I don't think that he thought he was in jeopardy of going on the block at all. So as long as him and Amber were safe, why not take the money. I think that Cody (?) was correct though when he said last night that letting Caleb take the $5000 and not being put up, is going to show him that he can pretty much do what he wants, and the house will bow down.

I'm with you guys, very disappointed in Cody's decision. I don't like Caleb one bit, but honestly I don't blame him at all for taking the 5K instead of the veto. There are still a LOT of people in the house. The likelihood that Caleb will come out the winner is slim, and I'm sure he knows that, so why not bank some money now while you have the chance? ESPECIALLY when you think that you are in an alliance with the HoH and "know" he won't put you up? (I know Caleb isn't in the alliance anymore, but he doesn't.) I think it's kind of silly that the guys expected him to give up the money for the veto which really wouldn't have done anything except have Brittany hounding him to use it on her. I think it would be kind of hilarious to see Caleb win the whole thing, now that they had backdooring him on a platter and turned away from it.

Omg, me too!!! I don't know what the heck they are talking about anymore with that either. I mean it works the first couple weeks but it's been long enough now, they should expect for game to be happening. SO stupid.

I totally agree Ashli, the only thing I wanna say is, we aren't watching the live feeds, well I am not anyway, for all we know she could be flirting with Caleb or messing with his head for him to be acting this way...but of course there are two sides to every story, I def. think he needs to wake up about her though, she's a player lol

I haven't been watching the live feeds or after dark, but have read a lot online and watched different clips of live feed or after dark stuff....and I haven't heard anything about Caleb and Amber in any way. I will let out what I mentioned before bc now it's obviously WRONG!

I agree, I'm sure we aren't seeing the "whole" story there, but based on the comments by the other players how they all think he's super pathetic about her and that she is not interested in him, I think she must not be doing that much to encourage him. I mean, she hangs on Cody a lot right in front of him, plus Caleb was whining to Brittany that Amber never said thank you or anything for "all" the stuff he had done for her. I really think he's just never been rejected by a girl and he just can't see that that is what is happening here.
As for the eviction last night, bye bye Brittany! Once the noms were changed, I was more than happy to see her go. I also though Victoria's eviction comment "I happily vote to evict the conniving Brittany" was kind of hilarious. I'm still pretty sure that Victoria is still trying to figure out why she is in this house with strangers who are occasionally on tv. I don't think she has a clue she's on a game show.

Am I hallucinating, or did Victoria say to Jocasta, "How am I weak? I keep winning!" WHAT??? What has she won? She didn't even technically win the veto competition when she got the veto...Caleb won, but he didn't take the veto as his prize. Is she really that nuts?
