As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I am taking my mother on her first Disney Cruise on Oct 8. We are doing the Eastern Caribbean on the Magic! I have downloaded several of your generic designs, since it is already so close to our cruise date.
I read that you and your equipment are both recovering! Please take care of yourself. It is obvious that you are a much loved member of this community.
If you would be able to do a personalization, I would love to surprise mom with the following designs
Do You Believe? graphic personized with Dot & Sally, Disney Magic, October 2011, Cruising the Eastern Caribbean
Disney Magic Cruise name tag oval -- Dot
Disney Magic Cruise name tag oval -- Sally
We'd be delighted with anything else you might have handy that fits our cruise on the Magic.
Hi Linda, I have some requests please - when you are feeling up to it of course.
Please may I have the "anniversary rectangle mickey ear shaped rings" on the pink background - Kylee & Simon Vow renewal Sept 2011 ?
Also may I request the Mickey head shaped "Grand gathering family design" with "Disneyworld 2011" in the centre and the following names around the mickey head shape - Kylee, Simon, Jared, Alana, Brody, Craig, Abby, Brooke, Jeremy, Rachael, Gus, Jessica, Corey, Georgie, John & Belinda.
Also a "Sorcerer Mickey bubble" with Brody in Walt font
Mickey bubble 2011 - all 16 names above (if you can spare the time please)
Family reunion (square) "Family, Friends & Fun" (like Ameneiro example) with all 16 names please.
Also can you please tell me if it is possible how I can alter one of the invitation letters? Specifically I would like to make a change to the Coral Reef invite if I can please.
Like everyone else here at PP I would also like to thank you for your precious time being spent making wonderful magic for all these people you may never meet. I have been proud to wear your designs on our trips and wish you a speedy recovery with your shoulder. Kindest regards.
Hi Kylee...looks like I may have missed this one. Hope not. Between my shoulder and bad internet I've been going crazy. Here are your requests. I apologize if I am too late.
Linda
Hi Linda,
I came across this post and, of course, checked out all the wonderful artwork. I am interested in making a fish extender/ message pouches to leave goodies for my kids on the cruise we are taking for Christmas and thought the name tags looked very nice to iron on to the front of the pouches.
Here are the labels I am interested in: the Oval Disney Dream tags with Mickey on the Left side and "Disney Dream" on the bottom curve. I would like 4 labels, one each of these names: "Mark", "Judy", "Alison", "Amy". Also, I would love one more of the same labels with "December 22-26, 2011"
Hi Linda! I am hoping you may have some spare time to personalize a few items for me. If you do great and if not...no worries maybe next time
1. Cruising the Dream: on one could you add "Tom and Terry" and on another could you add "The Bosler Family" (We are cruising Oct 23-27 so the rest is perfect!)
2. Stitch Bubble: in the ears can you add "Isabelle Rose"
3. Tinkerbell Bubble: in the ears can you add "Madeline Rae"
Way back when...before our cruise (Oct. 2010) you did some lettering for me using the villians to fill them in. I was wondering it you might do the word Villians using those letters. I'm starting to think about putting together our scrapbook and was thinking that the Villians letters would work out wonderfully for the Villians Tonight show.
It's no hurry (I'm currently busy with our 3 month old baby so I won't be scrapbooking any time too soon), but if you get around to it, it would be great to include in my scrapbook.
Thanks!
Hi Trara, here is your request. Sorry for the delay.

Can you do a diagram for me. It's the 2011 Disneyworld with the characters holding the 2011. Please put "The Tuskie Grandkids" under the picture.
If you aren't up to it, I totally understand.
Hi Shadowryter- I hope you are recovering well. I think my request may have gotten lost in the lot while you were away in PT. Just wanted to re-send it. I am in no major hurry at this point. Trip leaves in 50 days. Yahooo!!!
I apologize for that...Between my shoulder and loss of internet I'm behind but catching up. Here is your request.
Hi Linda: I was looking through previous posts to get ideas for our upcoming cruise t-shirts and noticed that you are not feeling well-so, if you are not back in great shape-I totally understand! I do have to tell you that my son still wears the t-shirts you designed to PE class this year-even though he has moved up to High School-he is still a Disney fan! Anyway, if you are able I would love to get the Disney Dream bubble that you have in your signature with"Mardi Gras with Mickey" on one ear and "February 2012" on the other ear and the design with Donald and the surf board on Castaway Cay-with the words "Dream Double Dip" at the top. Of course this is provided that you are well enough to design. Thanks again for all of your help!! Anne

Hi Linda,
I came across this post and, of course, checked out all the wonderful artwork. Also, it sounds like you have been ailing -so, I hope that you are on the mend and feeling better each day.

Please note that if you have 5 or more images in your requests that I will send you a pm and ask for your email where I will send your images to you in a zip file. This will only be while I am re-cooperating and please....do not post your email on my thread. I will also be saving your images on my personal hard drive for several months as these will not be uploaded to my sharing site. Only new images will. Take care everyone and have a magical day.
