Some of our Best Friends are Princesses. A Brent and the kids Trip Report, starring Cinderella and Ariel. COMPLETE 4/7! - Page 5 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I agree, you all took some great photos these days. Glad you were able to have some one-on-one time with Brandon too. I think I really like Belle's new dress, it's kind of glittery and pretty.
Signing in late to the party. Just have to say your first PhotoPass picture with Jordan made me happy you two were obviously so happy! Your smiles say it all...
Woke up this morning and headed to Epcot for another princess breakfast at Akershus. We met Belle:
Then we were fortunate enough to meet the same Cindi we had a few days earlier.
I r realized now we weren't going to see our jealous Aurora that we had such special times with on previous trips. I did however give her my pink bracelet that was embossed Sweet Dreams. She smiled, put it in her princess pocket and assured me she would make sure her friend Aurora got it.
Here are pictures of the other princesses:
Then we headed around world showcase and decided to catch the American Adventure show. Always a tear jerker. Then we ran into Belle who was dressed for the cold.
Then we headed to see Aurora. Interesting thing happened in line to see her. There was a family on front of us and the father was pacing around nervously looking at signs and flagging down cast members. A few minutes later he joined his family in line and proudly announced he had just found out something that would save them all some time. Super dad here then announced he had found out this line was NOT for Sleeping Beauty, it was in fact for, and I quote, "Some princess named Aurora". Oooyyy!!! So the family left! Who goes to Disney and doesn't know Aurora IS Sleeping Beauty??? Anyway we were one family closer to seeing Aurora. Then we struck up a conversation with some teenage girls behind us. They admired my shirt then we broke into song singing Once Upon a Dream. It was fun. I was halfway through the 2nd chorus when I realized I was the only one still singing. Apparently my new friends only knew the 1st one. I realized this right about when I was singing "Visions are seldom all they seem". Ah well, it was still fun. Here are pictures:
We wandered around Epcot awhile then headed for the Magic Kingdom and dinner at Be Our Guest. MK was packed. We got fast passes for the princesses then headed to see Ariel.
We took the river boat. We hadn't done that in a long time. It was nice. It’s a wonderful attraction for a busy day in the Magic Kingdom. Then we went to see the princesses. Funny thing happened with Cinderella here. The photographer was genuinely impressed with my devotion to my white gloved princess. He talked to me about it at length then when we got up there he asked me if I wanted to give her a kiss. I was taken by surprise at this but I think I recovered suitably and promptly dropped to one knee, gently took her precious gloved hand, looked deeply into her eyes and gingerly asked, may I? Then I closed my eyes and softly kissed her slender tender white gloved fingers. Here's what it looked like.
We saw her friends too. Aurora was very interested in my book. I think she liked my ears too.
Rapunzel wanted to see my tattoo.
Then we saw Mickey!
Then it was onto Be Our Guest! We were looking forward to this one all trip. We were not disappointed. We all ordered the steak dinner and I was contemplating ordering a beer. We explored the place:
It was fantastic! Here's a picture of dessert.
And the beast:
It was now well past ten o'clock so we headed for the gates and the end of another good day.
Tomorrow: Breakfast at the castle! Dancing Cindi again????
Okay here I am Cindy boy, very fun to read the details I still think you missed out and should have told that dad it was really the line for Briar Rose! I've been typing my thoughts from the beginning so here goes!
Late to the party but. . .from the start I already have too many things to say! Did you all find the hidden mickey in the Ariel shower? Lily found it and it is one of my fave hidden mickeys.
UMMMMMM, love the tattoo, you are a brave man, and of course I love it.
Haven't you learned your lesson about insulting tinkerbell?
I am certainly missing the usual Cindy, not the dancing one but the other one, when I was there in january there were lots of new cast members did the usual Cindy show up?
That wasn't very nice to wake Liz up for work. . .Tinkerbell probably learned about that.
I love the Cinderella interaction, you amaze me with that sometimes! And, I love the ears!
I love that Jordan loves Ariel, I completely missed the swimmer connection!
So, you now have a Yellow Belle shirt I noticed!
The kids look very happy and I know you all had so much fun, I exchanged a few facebook comments with Jordan along the trip. . .

Great time with the princesses. BOG is really impressive. DW and I ate there in March and found the meal and the whole experience to be overwhelming. Looking forward to doing it again on the next trip. Glad to see that Jordan is not put off by all of the attention YOU are getting from the princesses.

Sounds like a wonderful Princess-filled day!! just as it should be! Sorry you weren't able to see your jealous Aurora. Shes a lot of fun. I really love the bracelets you had made. I wonder why Disney hasn't latched on to that idea.
Breakfast with the Princesses looked like a lot of fun!! And you must have been going through withdrawals not seeing Cinderella!
I was! We made up for it though!

Welcome aboard Pinky!
No we didn't find the shower thing.
I'm glad that you guys are having fun! The tattoo has garnered some ummm appreciation at our YMCA pool and locker room.
I was disappointed at not seeing our usual Cindi. She will always be very special and dear to us. Hopefully next time. Jealous Aurora too!
I can NEVER win with Tink. Liz was thankful I cared enough to wake her up so she wouldn't be late for work!
Cinderella is amazing in her own right. Thanks for noticing my yellow Belle shirt. Hope you enjoy the rest!

I know about the bracelets. I wonder why they haven't latched on to what I do with shirts as well.
