I could used to this (except that liquid sunshine) - Page 5 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Continuing on with report......
I forgot to post a picture of what we found in the room whwen we returned yesterday! The mousekeeping staff had made up swan towel animals and created a vinegette with my bouquet. It was precious!
Early dining at 50's Prime Time Cafe was our next stop. When checking in I asked about "Cousin Cooper" who was our server on our last visit. They said he had worked the early shift this day and had already left, ah so sad. But they said they would be sure to give us another server who was as entertaining.
We had a delightful little lady who went by the name of "Mama". She was a scream in the nicest way. Kaitlin and I split a meal of fried chicken, mashed potatoes and greens but we switched the greens with hubby who loves them and he gave us his green beans, also very yummy. Kaitlin did NOT like the beans at first taste, so I took them, we split the mashed potatoes. As I knew she would, she ate the chicken right up, but ate only a small amount fo the potatoes. I left 3 beans on my plate when it was time to order dessert. Uh-oh, I forgot about what would happen, yes, she hand fed me to the delight of the group, and worse made it public knowedge to the entire dining room (LOL).
Upon seeing this, Jared (a first timer) decided this would NOT haqppen to him, so he scooped his left overs into his napkin, wadded it up, and went to the restroom to dump them
Kaitlin decided she too was full, and proceeded to put her mashed potatoes into HER napkin and discard it . The little chickens!
Anyway, we were then permitted to order dessert. Evan chose to get a chocolate milk shake despite warnings about just how thick they really were (as you can see by the sucked in cheeks):
Kaitlin and I (again) split the chocolate soda:
Throughout the meal we took photos of the experience.
After finishing our dinner and dessert, the kids wanted to take pictures with "Mama" so she happily allowed it, and she was a good sport about the "autograph" request. She was sooooo funny the whole meal, I can not even remember all of the things she did and said, but we were in stitches the whole time!
Now that we are fed, it is time to get back out there for more attractions.
First up, Muppets 3D. Hubby and I were kind of cozy while in the preshow and the CM asked if I had a camera so she could take a picture of us. She used my cell phone, and I like it.
After enoough time had passed the kids decided to do thrills again, so they hit up Star Tours, and Rockin Rollercoaster and TOT again.
Once the kids were tired and ready for a break (including the big kid dad Wayne), we all went to the bus to return to the resort for some evening festivities, checking out the water pageant, the fireworks etc. from the beach.
With swimming, activities, and a late night snack, it was soon (very soon) bedtime.
Tomorrow we "do" EPCOT and the Coral Reef.

Good morning, it is now Thursdday July 26th and today we "do" EPCOT. This morning when going to the monorail, Jared was happy to find that the Avengers monorail car was finally doing the resort loop. He posed next to it.
Today the plan was to get those kids onto Mission Space, Soaring, Spaceship Earth and of course Imagination with Figment and Nemo. Also we had adr's for Coral Reef for lunch.
Kaitlin managed to snag Chip and Dale for some face time, autograph and photo.
As there were 7 of us and only needing 3 and 4 fast passes for various attractions it worked well in the kids favor several times through the day (just like yesterday) to get FP for those desired "rides" for multiples. They managed to do everything they wanted except Soarin' for whatever reason it was such a late FP that they decided not to do it.
Lunch was at Coral Reef, always a delicious choice. Everyone reallly loved that we were sitting beside the tank and could get up close and personal with the creatures.
Decisions, decisions. Hubby decided to get the mahi mahi meal, I went with the appetiser for 2 as my meal, Susie and Wayne each also ordered various appetisers to share as their entrees, the kids were easy to please. Kaitlin and Jared both went way out of their comfort zone and ordered Cheese Pizaa (LOL), Evan was actually a bit more adventureous (I forget what he got, sorry).
The food was fabulous, beautiful, tasty........
And now for photos of the foods: Please don't lick your monitor!
And the finishing touch, the Bailey's and Jack Mousse with a chocolate "congratulations" sign tocelebrate our anniversary.
More attractions and fun for the remainder of the early afternoon. Along about 4:30 the kids all stated they wanted to go back to the resort and swim (it was hot). Sounded like a plan to us too, so off we went. Unfortunately it was also time for some really bittersweet times as the day wore on. When we returned to the resort we found a new towel creation, a bow tie.
Once back at the resort it was just after 5:00 and of course it was the cocktail hour. so of course we just HAD to get the delish food and beverages. We all took them to our room because our travelling companions were preparing to hit the road this evening to head towards home, and we wanted to have that final time together in the room rather than the lounge.
Tonight the lounge was providing some of the best yummies of the week, not that any evening was not the best (I mean things like conch fritters and such) but how can you lose when there is Beef Wellington on the tray!
Empanadas!
Noodle Salad
Veggies and Dip
Hummus and Pita Rounds
Fruit Cheesse and Crackers
Pineapple spears with Caramel Sauce:
And for more picky kids, the ever present pb&j uncrustables:
Yum what delicious choices for our little room party on our friends last evening with us. But of course there was more. Later after swimming, the kids returned from the pool area in order to change for their trip home. It was just in time for the dessert hours:
MMMMM, mini eclairs and fruit tartlets and the always desired:
Mickey Mousse Domes:
What a delicious way to end our time together and send them on their way. We of course stayed on as our time does not end until Sunday.
Time to say goodnight. Tomorrow, we tour differently than all week. Lots of fun still ahead, including some new experiences for Kaitlin and me ! I provide a shocker for my grand daughter on Saturday to say the least.

I've had quite a bit of catching up to do on your TR. the vow renewal, especially as it came together so well in spite of the rain spoiling your original plans. You all pack so much into each park day and such excellent meals each day.

I'm back, I had to take a few days off (ok more than a few) so much has happened, Dad ended up back in the er last week and so I ended up lliving at the hospital all week, and while he was in (double pneumonia on top of his cancer), my daughter was admitted and she was released yesterday, finally.
In the report I last discussed EPCOT and the 26th of July. After spending the day in EPCOT and enjoying Coral Reef, and having fun with friends, the kids went swimming and then did a little play fighting on the beach with their newly made light sabers. Then we all sat in our room for a bit until it was time for our friends to leave to begin their drive home. So bittersweet. We enjoyed their time here, but looking forward to two days with just us. Friday July 27th our 6th day would be a newe experience day.
Friday July 27th, day 6 Today hubby decided he really did not feel up to going to the parks in his wheelchair. So leaving him behind to enjoy himself at the resort (remember we were staying at the Poly in cl.ub level so it was not a bad thing), Kaitlin and I headed off early to EMH at EPCOT.
We got there fairly early despite the fact that the EPCOT monorail was down and we ended up waiting on a bus to take us to the park. We arrived at about 8:20, after passing through the no bag area (love it), we made a dash to Soarin, where we rode it for the first time ever! We both had a great time, and now I wonder why I was so worried about how it would be.
After riding Soarin, we made a stop at Sunshine Seasons and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. Then we began checking out other parts of Future World. (By the way, this trip we never once visited World Showcase, we will definitely do that alot next trip).
We also took in Captain EO (another first for us), rode Nemo several times, visited Crush, to a spin with Figment several times, just and Kaitlin did some time in the Innoventions enjoying various hands on activities.
It was getting pretty hot by this time and Kaitlin and I were both tired and ready for a break. Kaitlin decided to get a quick "shower" in the jumping fountains to cool off while I enjoyed a cold bottle of water and then we each got a Mickey Ice Cream Bar (mmmm) before heading to the monorail station with crossed fingers that the monorail would be running again (it was). Kaitlin was soooo tired that she literally dozed off.

After we returned from EPCOT, Kaitlin and I talked hubby into changing into swimwear and heading to the pool. We spent some time in the volcano pool and then headed over to the quiet pool.
We enjoyed the pool (as did the ducks swimming with us). I was kicking back at edge of pool when a waitstaff person came by and we ordered frozen beverages. This is the life I thought (still do).
Got a little lunch at Captain Cooks and enjoyed it in the shade of one of the free small cabanas at the quiet pool area. We spent a LONG time at the pool. So long that it was getting to be dinner time. After checking out the Lounge and finding some good choices (never any bad ones), we made meals of sweet n sour meatballs, crab rangoon, veggies, and fruit (Kaitlin chose the crab rangoon and of course the ever present mini corn dogs). Then it was time to get dressed. Hubby again chose to stay behind, while Kaitlin and I made our way to the Magic Kingdom for the evening.
We took some time to stroll the grounds enjoying the waterfalls, stream, flowers, tikis and more, then hit the monorail. We did manage to stop and take some pics in front of the castle too. Oh and did I mention the cute Alligator towel creation left for us today?
I love the Magic Kingdom most of all, so this is always a place I can not wait to visit several days each trip.
I think I will close for now. I will come back and report on what occurred in our night in the Magic Kingdom, which was followed by returning to our room and getting the phone call that I had feared the entire trip, and had thought we were past the time to worry about!
