As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Me and Michelle headed to see lightning MacQueen and Mater. When we was the 4th inline I seen it was time for Disney Junior Live and I know Michelle wanted to see that. We headed over to the show and didn't have to wait long. We got a seat in the right front of the carpet. Michelle really loved this show and she got 5 shiny gold papers as well. After that show we headed over to Mermaid and walked right in. When the show got to the part where Arial lost her voice they had to stop the show. Someone was using flash and it messed up the tech stuff in the show. I kept coming back to check on the show but they never got it back up. Why does someone have to ruin it for all. I called daddy to let him know where we was and he met us there by the big hat. Then we called Amber to have her meet us at the Starring Rolls to have a snack to get us through until we eat dinner. We all got a frozen drink and a snack each. We sat outside of the store on a bench and enjoyed our treats. After eating Michael and Amber headed to see Fantasmic. Me and Michelle checked on the Mermaid again. Still not running so we headed to find Woody and Buzz. When we got there I realized that I let Michael take the camera so we got inline for the Toystory. The line was a 45 minute wait but we enjoyed the wait. Inside they have so much to see and we also talked to others inline for the ride. Michelle done really good for a 4 year old she scored 17,800 and mommy scored 75,300. Michelle wanted to ride again but the wait was 90 minuted now. I called Michael to let him know where to meet us. He came and we all got inline for Buzz and Woody. The stuff they had in the waitline for them was really cute and props that you can get cute pictures with. When we was done with them we went outside to decide where to eat. We decided to eat at ABC Commisary. We all had the shrimp/cheeseburger except Michelle. She had nuggets and fries. These are really big sandwiches. We all ended up taking some food back to the camper with us. When we was done we headed out of the park. When we got to the buses I just realized we didn't go see the Osbourn Lights . It was to late the park was already closed and I knew they wouldn't let us back in. I was fine with that because I know I plan another trip to see them. Since tomorrow we are going to spend outr last day at Epcot FW and it was extra evening hours I didn't set the alarm. Time to get some rest for our last day.
next last day Epcot FW

Me and Michael woke up at 8 and decided to get up and get ready. We woke the girls up at 9. We all ate breakfast and headed to the boats. Michael and Michelle wanted to ride the Monarail again. So we took the long way there. Got on the boat to the Contemp and then the Monarail to Epcot. Of course we had to switch at the main transportation spot. (can't remember the name) We got at Epcot gate at 10:30. We done our reg thing when checking in. This time when I told the person not to take my magic out of the bag she replied while acting like she was adding stuff; I will put more magic in. When we all was threw the ticket and got our maps took off to TT and MS for FP while me and the girls head to Sunshine Seasons. When Michael got back up with we got our lunch. I had the Beef and Broccoli. Michael had the pork/ mashpotato. Amber had the cashew chicken with noodles. Michelle had the drumstick meal. Of course Michelle didn't care for what she got she ate all my broccoli and daddies taters. The food was ok to me Michelle really liked his meal. After eating Me and Michelle went to Soarin and got FP for me and her. Michael and Amber went off to ride the FP stuff they had. Me and Michelle went on the living w/land we just walked right on. This ride was great. We enjoyed seeing everything they was growing. Michelle kept laughing about them growing the wrong way. Then we went to Circle of life. Which Michelle really didn't care for that much. After that we headed for Nemo and only had to wait 10 minutes for that rise. Michelle really loved this ride. To me the ride was to short . When we exit the ride we went straight to Crush. We had to wait awhile for that but it wasn't bad of a wait since there is real fish for the little ones to look at. There was a pufferfish at the front of the tank which Michelle put her face close to and I got the picture. When we got inside Michelle got a front row seat and I was able to sit on the first bench as well.
The castmember there asked if anyone was from out of the country a few raised their hands. Then Michelle just said really loud that she was from NC. She asked Michelle what her name was of course Michelle told her. The castmember announced that this is Michelle from NC That made Michelle giggle. Then when Crush came out and when he asked if anyone has question Michelle rose her hand. I was thinking what in the world is she going to ask him She was the second to be picked and when he asked he name she told him and he asked her what is your question? She said "I love you" Everyone in the room said Awwww. Then crush said the answer to that question is yes and that made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Again Michelle just giggled. After Crush we head to the Character Building. When we got there she seen who was in there and said "I seen all of them I don't want to go in there. Michael called and meet us by the Character building. Then when daddy met with us we all decided to go ride Figment. That was really a cute ride. Then we decided since daddy haven't been on Nemo or seen Crush we would do it again. This time with Crush Michelle was the 3rd to be picked. When crush asked her name she told him but this time he turned around and said "Michelle meet my shell (his back was to Michelle and he pointed to his shell on his back)." Michelle and everyone was laughing at that point. Then Crush asked her what her question was? Again she said Ilove you. This time he said "I love you to. Michelle do you have a question or did you just wanted to share the love?" She just giggled. He knodded and said "you just wanted to share the love. " I love it that the interaction with Crush was different both times we went. After we was done I called Amber to let her know she was suppose to be at the Seas by5 and it was already 5:30 and our ressie at Coral Reef was 5:45. To say the least I was . When she got there she wouldn't shut her mouth so I ended up shouting at her which made others turn and look at us. That made me even more mad. So I told her that she just made me raise my voice at her right infront of all these people and that I didn't want to hear another thing out of her until we get seatted at the table. When we got insdie we only had to wait about 5 minutes for our table. They sat us right next to the tank By that time I already calmed down and everything was better. I just told Amber she is not going off by herself the rest of the trip. While we was waiting for our food a couple of divers came in the tank and waved at Michelle. Me and Michael had the lobster ravoli Amber had the Mahi Mahi which she said was good. Michelle had the meat sauce macorri which she didn't care for the chunky tomato in it. While eating we realized we never got to the Innoventions because they close at 7. Another reason to come back.

We had such a great time. We are always doing so much on our vacations. As always we like just to take our time and enjoy where we are and look around. Next time we go to Disney I would love to stay at least 10 days so we can enjoy our resort that we are at. We knew we wasn't going to beable to do everything that there is to do. Like everyone on here tells you just have an idea od the most does and make sure you do that and if you can add more to it that is great. If you stress over getting to everything and doing everything you will not have a fun or enjoyable time.
We only had 4 park days this time, but like you said, we made sure to do our must-see stuff, and let the rest of our time just fall into place. There is always something fun to do & see at Disney! AND...always something left on the list that we'll do next trip.
Me and Michelle headed for the Soarin since our FP was ripe. Michael and Amber went to ride the other rides. Lorraine called and told me that her and Janice and Gina was there and where to meet them. I let her know that Me and Michelle was about to get on Soarin and we will meet her there when we get off. This ride ended up being Michelle's favorite ride from the whole trip. When I got off the ride I called Michael so he can meet me and Michelle and go see our friends. Michelle fell inlove with Gina. I can say both ladies was so sweet and nice. I am so glad I was able to meet them. We just sat on a floor and talked and really enjoyed the rest time. We all have to laugh at Michelle and Gina. After we said our goodbyes my whole crew went back to Soarin since it was extra magic hours. It was a 50 minute wait. Inline Michelle was telling daddy and Amber what to expect. After riding we headed over to MS but I knew Michelle was to short for this so I reminded Michelle she might be to small for this ride. We passed by the characters and Amber wanted to get her princess ears signed by the characters. So I stood inline with her to take her pictures with them. Daddy and Michelle sat on a bench inside to wait for us. I was right. Well daddy said he would take her back on figment and some other rides she wanted to ride again. I went on the green part of MS. Went I was on this ride I already knew that Michelle wouldn't have liked that ride. When I got off the ride I was feeling funny. I told Amber to stay at MS and ride again if she wants and I headed to the bathrooms. When I was done I started walking back to MS and my whole upper chest started to hurt. I sat down at a bench and I started to cry because it hurt so bad. When the hurt subsided alittle I got back up and went to the gift shop at MS and sat on the floor. I called Amber to let her know where I was and then called Michael to have him meet me where I was aslo. Amber got there first and she kept my mind off my chest. When Michael got there we walked slowly out of the park. A castmember was at a spot roping it off. He said good you found her. He looked at me and asked if I was feeling better. I nodded no and he let us through. When we got to the buses there was a bus there and when it was time for us to get on I told the bus driver to go on because I needed to sit down. There was only standing room left. The next bus came within 10 minutes. When we got on and on our way Michelle fell alseep on daddies lap. The hurting in my chest was gone. I still felt funny but not hurting at all. When we got to the CG there was 2 sheriff cars and 1 security car there plus a bus. I seen a group of people standing in around. When the bus left a couple came by and I asked what did we miss? The couple said that the bus driver was swirving all over the rode and wouldn't stop. He kept telling everyone that everything was fine. I look up toward the sky and Thanked God for keeping us off that bus. That was the bus that I decided to skip because I couldn't sit. The guy who is over the transportation came and had a bus to take everyone where they needed to go except the people who was on the other bus because they had to get their statements. He also had a bus there for them to sit on so they wouldn't be sitting in the cold. We got to our camper around 1:30 am and Michael set the alarm for 7:30 to start breaking things down. It didn't take us long to fall asleep.

Michelle...how fortunate you decided to wait for the next bus! How scary.
I love Soarin' too. Great ride! And MS makes me feel yucky too....though not in my chest. Sorry that happened to you.
