As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Wow, you saw a lot of characters during your visit to Animal Kingdom!
After our trip I realized that if you want to see the characters do a princesses meal to see the princesses and then get the rest at AK since they have a place where all of them are at (Camp Minnie and Mickey) Plus they have a character landing with Pooh and Friends. You can save MK for the rides and shows.
When and and Michelle got to Dinoland we sat and waited for the rest of our crew to meet up with us. It was fun to watch other people for awhile and it was nice that Michelle got to enjoy the stuff she got that day. When the whole crew was back we headed over to see Pluto. To my surprise Goofy was with him as well. Of course mommy had to get into the action with them now. When we was done Me and Amber found a bench to sit on while daddy and Michelle rode TricernTop Spin. While we was waiting Pluto and Goofy walked by. I waited until Goofy was in ear view and said "Gawrash" He thought Amber said that because he went over to her and kissed her on her forhead Amber turn a pretty shade of red. When daddy and Michelle was done we decided to head over to see Nemo than get dinner. It was around dinner now so we just ate what we had with us from lunch and the snack I brought with us. When we got to Nemo we had to wait about 30 minutes. The time went pretty fast since we ended up chatting with other inline as well. Nemo was such a cute show. Michelle really loved this show. During the rest of our vacation and still to this day she talks about the Nemo musical After the show we looked at the map and decided to get something to eat at Restaurantosaurus. We were the second person inline for the place and we placed our order. Me and Michael order the shrimp poboy w/fries. Amber ordered the veggie bub w/sweetpotato fries. Michelle wanted the pb&j. the desserts was all got the cheesecake. When we got to the serving counter the lady looked at our recipe and put our desserts on the counter and gave us our drinks. Plus she gave us Michelle sandwich. I took the drinks and sandwich to the table. I have Michelle to say the blessing so she can start eating. When I got back to the food counter the desserts was still sitting there and I seen orders being put at the counter. After 15 minutes watching others who was behind us getting their order before us and the lady not saying a word of what was going on. I spoke up and said "I don't understand why people behind us is getting their orders before us." The lady looks at our recipe again and said "Oh it is because the is a back order for the veggie subs" I said why thanks for letting us know. Plus I let her know I don't want the desserts that has been sitting there at least 20 minute. I am sorry I don't eat my desserts first. I mean she acted like it wasn't a big deal and she didn't even apologize for anything. After 10 more minutes our food finally came out and the lady ended up putting another pb&j in Michelles bucket because she forgot she gave us one. The food was ok but not worth waiting that long for it. I was disappointed with this place after hearing so much good reviews. Well both me and Michael tried to call the 800 number but we got a recording saying that they was on holiday and to call back between 1-5 tomorrow. When we was leaving the place I noticed that there was kids pales ontop of the trash cans so I asked the castmember who was cleaning if we are aloud to keep the pales? She said yes. So I grabbed the other pails and looked around the room and spotted families with kids that they only had 1 pale for 2 kids. So I gave the families pails to make every kid to get their own pales. I wasn't going to let this bad service ruin my trip and I wanted to spend the joy to others. The families was so happy and surprised at me giving them the pail. When I was walking out of the park I called my friend who was a castmember to see what she suggest we do about the service we got. She told me to go to the front desk where we are staying to let them handle it. So I knew that would be the first thing I done in the morning. Since it was New Years Eve we just wanted to enjoy the rest of the night. As we rode the bus back to the CG Michelle fell asleep and we all decided to go to be ourselves when we get back to the camper. When we got to the settlement we head the music coming from the beach. I believe they had a band there to bring in the New Year. Michael set his alarm to go off at 11:50 so he can call his mom and brother I set my alarm for 9:30 so we can sleep in alittle. Of course when Michaels alarm went off he called his mom and his brother. We heard the fireworks going off. Michelle woke up and it took about 1 hour before daddy could get her back to sleep. I ended up letting Michelle sleep with daddy and I slept with Amber. Not long after we all was

I woke up at 7:15 and decided to get dressed and head to the front desk to place my complaint about last nights serves and to ask about the dogs in our loop (the loop we are staying at was suppose to be a dog free area and we have been noticing at least 3 dogs in peoples campers) plus to mail off a postcards . When I got to the bus settlement there was a bus there to take me to the outpost. While riding the bus I see 3 deer on the side of the road.. Before going inside the front desk I called Michael to have him and the girls get ready. When I got to the front desk I told them what happened and they credit our meals back to our DP. Then when I asked about the dogs they said they was totally booked and had to put them somewhere. I told them when I made my ressies I stated I didn't want to be around any dogs. They looked and said yes you did and we are so so that others didn't catch that. They put a note in the system about my concerns about the dogs just in case something happens on our stay. They didn't have stamps so I had to wait until I got to the park and mail them there. I felt happy at how they handled my concerns so I was off to the pop-up to get our crew going. When I got back to the camper Michael was just going to the bathhouse to get ready. I packed what we needed and took Michelle to get her clean and dressed. Then we was off to HS. We got at the park at 10:30 a.m. Michael took the girls through the no bag check and I went through the bag check. When picking what bag check I wanted to go through I noticed only one person had a smile on his face so that is the line I picked. When he started to look inside the bag I said " Please don't take my magic out." He said "WOW! Look at all that pixie dust flying around in there." Then I was off to meet with my crew. We met at the maps and decided to split up. Michael with Amber to ride rides and Me with Michelle to hunt the characters. Me and Michelle headed for Animation. We noticed Jake from the NIP so we got inline. Then after seeing him we noticed Handy Manny and got inline for him. When he seen the jumbo pen He stuck it in his belt loop like it was a tool Michelle was laughing so much at him and she started walking away and was going to let him have the pen. So I told he to get her pen. Then we had to park the stroller so we can go inside the building where the other characters was. The castmember at the stroller parking let us know that in 30 minutes the Incredables we going to come out. So we sat and waited on the couch to learn how to draw a character. When we was sitting there I realized I forgot the jumbo pen for the characters to sign in the stroller. Michelle said it was o.k. The castmember who was standing by said that the other castmembers should have a pen. I explain to her how much fun the characters have with the pen Michelle brought. Then Michelle said mommy we have to go get it. I looked at the time and I seen we time to get it. When we returned the castmember said "Oh my that is some pen" Then it was time for us to go in and learn to draw a character. It ended up being Jimimy Cricket. Michelle only wanted me to do the first two ourlines and she done the rest of her drawing. When we was done I showed the lady who was teaching us her drawing and she was very impressed at Michelle's drawing and she thought Michelle was 6 but I let her know she was only 4. That made me feel so proud. After that we stood inline for the Incredable. Mr. Incredable acted like the pen was a weight After our fun with them we headed to see Sorcerer Mickey. It was a long line Michael called and I let him know where we was. The rest of our crew meet our at Mickey. We had time for daddy to take Michelle around the room to play with the screens before our lunch at Sci Fi. After about 20 minutes we was off to our lunch ressie. Oue waiter name was Michael (are you seeing a theme with the waiters names that we keep getting) and he was a hoot. When we sat down in our car Michelle wanted the drivers seat. So the waiter said that your parents can pay you back now since she was the driver. Me and Michael ordered the steak. Amber ordered the picnic burger. Michelle wanted hambuger with fries. We all got a milkshake The girls got the drinks with the light up tinkerbell. Then our waiter gave both Amber and Michelle a drivers license. I let our waiter Michael know that I messed the speaker up. He laughed and said he done that one time when he was younger at the drive in. Our crew kept asking Michelle are we there yet? She would tell us no and that it is a long trip. Then I said I have to go potty. Michelle said "There is no stopping on this trip" Then at one point I told our waiter Michael that the car that was infront of us I say people getting out of the trunk. They snuck in. He laughed again and said he used to sneak people in also. He said he would always drive so he wouldn't be squished in the trunk with the others. We had such a blast in there and we also enjoyed the little shows they played on the screen. After we was done we headed to the HSK playground so the girls can run around. When we entered the area both girls just said WOW and they took off. After having some fun in the playground we was off to the Muppets. We got turned around so we had to ask a castmember how to get to the Muppets. Both girls noticed they wanted to trade a pen with her. So Michelle had to get her landyard out of the stroller. When Michelle went up to the castmember she noticed Amber grabbed the one she wanted. Michelle started to cry and the castmember leaned down and gave Michelle a pen to trade with another castmember. Michelle was so happy about that she gave the castmember a big hug and thanked her. When we got inside the theater I was able to get one picture before the show started since there was no flash allowed. The show was cute. After we got out of the show we spotted F&F. Michael wanted to go see the motors show so he took off. Amber wanted to stay with me and Michelle to see F&F. It was a long line. When we was done with F&F Amber headed off by herself. So it was me and Michelle again. We seen that this is the best way for us so everyone will beable to do stuff they want to do and enjoy themselves.
