We ate so much we thought we were going to burst trip report-Updated 1/16!! - Page 4 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Loved the Chef Mickey's Pics - since your PC is new, I'm assuming you have Windows Vista. If you have MS Office installed, The easiest way to resize photos on Vista is to:
Double Click the photo to open it in Windows Photo Gallery.
At the menu on the top, click on Open, Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
Click Edit Pictures on the Top
Click on Resize on the right.
Click on the radio button for Predefined Width and Height.
Select Web Small From the Drop down list
Click on File at the Top
Click On Save As – Change the name / location so you don’t overwrite the original file with a smaller picture.
If you don’t have MS Office installed. You can use the Email option under Windows Photo Gallery, select Smaller as the template, then email it to you self as a smaller file. (You will need to have an email account setup on the PC first though.)
sounds like Chef Mickey made up for anything that happened earlier. Sounds good. We had Chef Mickey's for breakfast and I gotta say it was disappointing. It sounds like dinner was great there though. Keep it coming.

We had Chef Mickeys for breakfast the last day. I will detail that meal later but I will say it was very disappointing.
We woke up really early, 530am and it was cold. We got ready and ate a bit in the room, we brought breakfast snackes from home. Then we went the 6 mins to the bus stop to go to Epcot for EMHM.
Once at Epcot we made a dash for Soarin. Got fastpasses and went to the standby line. I love Soarin it's my favorite ride. Dsis loved it too. She wanted to ride it several times but we waited for our fastpasses to kick in and while we waited we headed over to Test Track. The wait was what seemed like forever. The sign posted said 20 mins but it was at least 30. Then we get on the ride and it stops. We got stuck right before it hits the open track. We sat there for about 10 mins and the whole time this woman behind us in the same car was gripping about the computer software and that's why we were stuck. I was about ready to turn around and smack her. Sis and I were getting tired of her complaining. Anyway after about 10 mins we finally got to go around the track. After the ride sis said she didn't like it. I said it would have been better if we wouldn't have stopped and got stuck on it. But neither of us wanted to wait another 30 mins or more to ride it again. We still had some time before our Soarin fastpasses kicked in so we went over to Mousegear and looked around a bit. Then headed back over to the land and rode Living With the Land.
By that time it was time for Soarin. After Soarin we headed over to Cantina de San Angel for lunch. I had the combo platter, and sis had tacos. We both got churros. Everything was tasty. The churros are huge.
After lunch we walked, more like ran around world showcase. It was so cold we about froze to death. We stopped and took a few pics across the lagoon.
If you can't tell from the photos it was really windy and really cold. We did stop and rode Maelstome. Sis didn't like it. I just wanted to ride it to get out of the cold. After running around World Showcase we headed to the front and had somemore pics taken.
We then went back to the hotel for a bit. Recharge our phones and camera batteries and ourselves. We then headed to Coral Reef for dinner.
Up next Coral Reef

After rechargeing our batteries and ourselves we headed to Epcot for our dinner at Coral Reef. We got there and only waited about 10 mins for our table. We got seated and I had personalized menus and a diver set up for my sister. They give the personalized menus and regular menus. Sis opens the personalized menus and has this strange look on her face. I said "what's wrong?" She says "how they heck did you get these done?" I just laughed and said I had them done.
We were sitting there and here comes the diver. Well it wasn't exactly right. Infact it was wrong. It was suppose to say Heather, I hope your having a magical time. Love Teresa. What it said was Heather, I hope your having a magical time. Love Heather. We both just looked at and looked at each other. Sis says is that suppose to be for me? I said um yes. Oh well she got the idea. I was a bit upset and didn't even bother to take a picture of it.
Dinner was wonderful. We both had the New York Strip Steak. Which came with watercrest, whatever that is we didn't eat it, about 5 baby potatoes and a couple grape tomatoes. The food was good but not worth the $89.93 that it would have cost us if we weren't on the dining plan.
I also had a virgin strawberry daquari (spelling) which was available with the dining plan. It was good but I should have never gotten it. I'm allergic to strawberries and by the time I finished it I looked like a strawberry.
For desert we had the chocolate wave. YUMMY!!!! It was so good.
We were just finishing dinner when from behind me I hear, Teresa? I said yes. It was Sam aka bluecinderellaeyes. I was in shock. I said how did you know it was me? She said well I saw you two sitting here and took a chance that it was you. We chatted for a minute. It was cool to meet another passporter. I wish we would have caught up again later but things happen. Anyway dinner was wonderful but I don't know that I would eat there again. Like I said $89.93 is way more then I would ever spend for what we ate. Good thing for the dining plan.
After dinner we were going to watch Illuminations but decided it was way to cold and went back to our resort. Sis had stopped off to smoke and I went on to our room. As I was walking I hear this noise behind me. Like loud footsteps in high heels. I turned around and I saw what appeared to be an armadillo. Is that what it was? Are there armadillos in Florida? I've never seen one in person, we don't have those in Missouri, but it sure scared me. He was about 3 feet infront of me just scurring into the woods. After watching this creature I went back to the room and went to bed.
