Dream of Lifetime TR Sept 23-Oct 5 **COMPLETE!! 9/14** - Page 4 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I'm going to chime in. You forgot to tell everyone that one of your pictures of the clouds won you a second place ribbon and a little moola at the county fair.

Great update!
I SOOOO feel your plane with flights!
We were planning a Christmas trip if you remember to WL this year but moved it up to Summer at Boardwalk ALL based on the cooky flight schedules and prices! I have heard the prices are going to drop but airlines are going to charge for every little thing to make up for some of it.
Heres hoping it all works out!
Glad you got your flights squared away. I always take the late flight home, too, so I'd be really disappointed with a flight at that time, too. Good thing it worked out!

Glad you were able to find flights that were decent but also let you maximize your trip...13 days at the Poly - that is definitely a dream come true
I can't wait. I have been having a lot of problems at work. So this trip couldn't come soon enough

I am not complaining that we got to stay an extra day because of airfare. More time at my happy place!

The last 2 years we were able to take a late flight on SW but this year they had other plans. How dare they not consult with us first.

We called at actually 180 days out! Shortly after 7:00am to get of ADRs & we still had problems trying to get some of them. So without further ado here is our list.
Sept 23- Spirit of Aloha @ 8:00pm. We have never done this so since we are staying there we thought we would give it a try. It was one of the things my Ddad wanted to try.
Sept 24-We are not doing any ADR today. We are schedule for a tour & will be having lunch with that. For dinner we thought we could have a CS whenever we got hungry so we didn’t have to sit down for a meal.
Sept 25- WCC @ 6:35pm. We went to this one last year & had a great time. We laughed so hard. My aunt actually called to see how our vacation was going. Our waitress took my mom’s phone & started to talk to my aunt. She asked why she wasn’t here with us. My aunt said because she had to work. Our waitress held out the phone & told everyone at the restaurant that Aunt Wanda was on the phone & she couldn’t come because she had to work. So on the count of 3 she had everyone say “Hi Aunt Wanda”. We laughed so hard & my aunt who was driving home from work had tears in her eyes. She told my mom everyone she was passing probably wonder what is gong on with that lady.
Sept 26- Cape May Breakfast Buffet @ 10:00am. We ate here last year for dinner. Everyone says how good it is for breakfast so we thought we might want to try it. Plus with Goofy being one of Shayne’s favorite character it was a no brainier. Sept 26- Le Cellier @ 8:20pm this is my Mom’s favorite when we called at 180 days out the only two options were 4:00 something & 8:20 my dad said to go later than earlier on the ADRs. I have tried numerous times to see if we could change it but it is sold out.
Sept 27- 50’s Prime Time @ 12:00pm. We like this restaurant but last year our server wasn’t the best. So we thought we tried for lunch.
Sept 28- Liberty Tree @ 5:05pm. We are going to MNSSHP tonight & after seeing PamCarey picture last year with the character dressed up we thought we would like to try this again. We went 2 years ago when my extended family went with us. They had wonderful service we had mediocre.
Sept 29- Kona Café @ 5:30pm. We ate here last year & thought it was very good so we thought we would try it again since we are staying there.
Sept 30- Ohana’s @ 10:10am for breakfast with Stitch. I can’t wait for this one. It is new for us.
Oct 1- Donald’s Breakfast Safari @ 10:30am. We loved the old Donald’s & are hoping this one is just as good.
Oct 2- Crystal Palace Breakfast Buffet @ 10:05am. We are celebrating my B-day today so I wanted to be at MK. We have never eaten there before but I am super excited.
Oct 3- Coral Reef @12:00pm. We have never eaten here before. My dad has been wanting to try it so we thought why not.
Oct 4- Chef Mickey Breakfast @ 10:15am. This is a tradition for us to do our last day & then we go to MK before we head home. Since we are staying an extra day we just left this because our flight out Sun. is early so we are pretty sure we won’t be able to get to Chef Mickey on Oct 5th.
Oct 4- Since we added a day we got another day of food. Our flight home Sun leaves at 11:45am. I think DME will pick us up between 8:30-8:45 so we didn’t want to be rushed with a breakfast. We are eating at Ohana’s for dinner on the 4th. When we first called a couple of months ago. The only time available was 9:35pm so we took it. We have been calling about it several times. Finally last week we were able to change it to an 8:15pm
Oct 5- If we have time we might do a CS at the hotel before catching the bus back to MCO.
