I Don’t Wanna Grow Up – 30th Birthday Trip x2, August 7-11, 2010 - Page 30 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I hadn't read this update. Some people are just lacking in the sensibily department. Ugh, people say the most unpleasant things, I remember like 3 days after giving birth I had a family member" tell me I had stayed little fat after my pregnancy. I was like "hello, I just had a c-section!"
Pay no mind to those comments. You look amazing!! Remember, that not all pregnancy bellies are the same. In my opinion (I've had 3 bellies) the first one is always the smallest.
Even family doesn't get it.

I do think it's for 3 reasons....
your legs and booty look smaller (could be the pants?)
it's baby 2, every thing is already stretched and ready
I think you are carrying higher. ( Maybe girl?)
Did you pop fast or not see her for a while? I had people ask me if I was having twins.... I was 7 months and was actually measuring small.. People just have no clue.
Glad Dylan didn't have a reaction. I still have never been stung..... Knock on wood....
Well they told me I was having a boy - they'll be checking again today.

Let's get caught up on trivia first: 35 days to go (7/3/10): Irving Ludwig retired, after forty years with Disney.
34 days to go (7/4/10): Walt Disney's "Fox and The Hound" was released on July 9. (Another movie to add to the queue.)
33 days to go (7/5/10): The Walt Disney World Conference Center building opens in August.
32 days to go (today): The Mickey Mouse Revue attraction in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World closed on September 14.
I hope everyone had a nice 4th holiday. We left at 9am Saturday morning to visit my brother and fiancee and their new house. We didn't really do much Sat or Sun - just hung out, played in the pool, ate, watched Disney movies, etc. We left about 3:30pm on Sunday. Yesterday my parents came over. My Mom & I made a trip to Wal-Mart for silicone (leaking windows) and I ended up spending like $120!! Darn Wal-Mart! Although I did stock up on food and stuff so hopefully won't need to do major grocery shopping for a while.
Today I have 2 doctor's appointments (diabetes doctor & baby doctor) plus an ultrasound (routine for me). We'll see how things are going.
I think we're narrowing in on the name Lukas - Dylan says that name once he's given his choices. This weekend we asked him what his baby brother's name was and he said "Not Percy", so he's learned that won't be it.
On trip news: We did receive our luggage tags last week!! One of these days I'll start packing - probably the weekend before we leave - gotta make sure I have clothes to wear until we leave.
More great trivia - I can't watch Fox and the Hound I always cry at the end "we will always be friends forever" just too sad for me. Anything with a dog will have me in tears.
Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend, I spent half of my weekend in the pool to, But Evan's little 2 foot thing - hey it was wet and cool.
I'm so glad you had a great weekend
nice trivia again as usual! I always look forward to reading it on my lunch break
good luck at the doctor today and ive got to go to disney.com and do some shopping myself. You reminded me of that!
WOW luggage tags how awesome! its getting so close!

Kelly, I'm all caught up. Sorry I got so behind, but with Skyler sick I was on a little bit. You look adorible pregnant and like I said before you don't look big at all, just perfect. I can't get over the nerve of those whom touch your stomach that you don't want to touch it, and I'm sorry you're encountering that at work. I had maybe my sister do it anfew times(didn't bother me) and a friend of one of my Aunt's whom I've never met until my cousin's wedding and wouldn't keep her paws off and all I wanted to say was "I don't know you, please stop touching my stomach." and I couldn't. I too got the "And you're walking up the stairs in your condition and you look like you're goin to pop any day now". Geez what don't people get that you can still walk when you're pregnant. Dylan looks adorible in his new big boy bed. I hope Dylan is ok after being stung by the Bee. Poor little guy. I have to agree with Linny as Erick's
Bee tests have proven true that you may not be allergic to one kind of bee but allergic to others.
Congrats on the shopping. Sounds like you had an enjoyable weekend. I too love Lady and the Tramp and can't wait for our player to get fixed so we can watch it again. Congrats on the Disney Mail. More please Kelly!
Yay for the luggage tags!! LOVE Disney mail Glad you had a great 4th weekend…ours was a blast too!!

The pool was small too - one of those rectangular blow up ones, but still cool none the less.
