The First Thing you need is a Pumpkin, (and the right Princess!) Trip report. Jan26-31. - UPDATED 3/9 with more PhotoPass Pics!! - Page 3 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

OH Bummer! I wish we would have known that was you! I swear next time we need to find a way to identify ourselves as passporters. We met someone else later in the trip too who recognized us from here. Glad we "kinda" met! LOL

Ok, 1-27-11, the real version. The parts that Brent forgets or something. This is the raw, uncut, and disillusioned recall. According to me!
I also love early mornings......I love to use this time to inspect the insides of my eyelids, take a deep look, its a routine for me. I'm sorry, there is just something utterly WRONG with being awake and getting out of bed for anything other than a completely nessesary trip to the bathroom before day break!!!! Especially on vacation! Honestly tho, I am a day sleeper, dictated by my work schedule, so these early morning hours are when I sleep the best.
Picture books! Now that was a cool idea that Brenterella came up with, people were truley impressed. Most people looked at me and assumed it was something I did. I just smiled and said "Thank you, I worked very hard on them!" hee-hee. Much like Brents idea last year to give Tinkerbell a valentine card that was sparkly, when it was evident that I was entering the crash and burn mode with her I looked at Brent and said "it was all HIS idea, sorry, I told him it was dumb". I'm good like that.
We rode a couple rides that morning as Brent said. While riding "Its a Small World" we noted this really neat area when you first get on, you can actually see the ride from a restaurant in Pinochos Village! How incredibly cool! So we checked it out and thought maybe someday that would be a cool place for a counter service while watching the ride. This was one of the 3 things we discovered that we never knew were here on this trip. As many times as we had been there we still found new things! How cool! Here is a pic from inside the boat of "Its a Small World":
I took tons of pics of the Snow White ride.....sure gonna miss that!
Then off to see Tink, which admittedly is usually a high point for me. While it was great, nothing set the tone for the future harassment of Brent for the rest of the trip like our princess visit!!!!!! I made sure to mention to her Brents remark about the bell around his neck. I think it went something like "maybe she'll get her head stuck in it". When I mentioned this to Tink she said that he forgot it was impossible since during our transition into her world the bell was also made smaller and now was much too small!
Ok, so I just can't wait any longer......the moment of truth. As Brent mentioned I love to see him with the princesses, he gets that school boy with a crush look, its soooooo terribly adorable!!! Also he gets a bit ummmm, how shall I say this nicely??? Arogant? Like a Fabio to the princesses. I was expecting some of the spectacular lines that he had been noting in his phone for the last few months to use on the unsuspecting beauties. I stood back and let him approach Aurora alone so I could get a few pics, she marveled over his pic book and shirt, I believe she was truley impressed, it was all going as planned. THEN......here it comes...... "well, the first thing you need is a pumpkin". "WHAT DID HE JUST SAY???????, A pumpkin???? To Aurora,,,,,,what would she know about a pumpkin?!?!?" I looked as bewildered as Peyton Manning when his coach called a time out during the play offs!!!!! Ok, I didn't know what he was doing so I did what any loving wife would do.....started snapping pics and taking notes!! If he was going to be toasted over this I sure as heck wanted pics!!!! She handled it gracefully, saying "maybe my friend Cindy would be interested in that" Brent was moritfied. I could smell the cinge it was so bad, the flames gave off such a glare that most of my pics didn't turn out. All the security that had been hyped up for his arrival was laughing I am sure. I think I heard someone page overhead through hysterical laughter "Attention!! The Cinderella Freak security alert has went from RED to CLEAR!!!!, you can all go home!!!!!" So then he heads over to Cinderella. Now here I struggle, on one hand I know how much it means to him and how big a part she played in our relationship, hand B......I'm really enjoying this. The whole thing about 'unsinkable ships sink'........you just HAVE to see it!!! LOL. So he picks up his pride off the floor and slowly moves toward her. She consouled him and seemed to be her usual graceful self. Although Brent was still reeling. She said to him "What kind of magic do your slippers bring you?", so Brent says "ask her" and motions to me. Once again "WHAT?" Normally he would have used that as an opener for something spectacular but not today. Almost felt sorry for the lil guy. This was almost painful! Then on to Belle, who says I am making progress refining my Beast. Good to know, Belle, thanks!
I can't believe he didn't include this pic of him and the blue dress wonder.....I love this pic!!!!
It was soooooo good to see Beverly again!! She is truley what Disney Magic is all about! We spent alot of time going through Mickeys house, knowing it wouldn't be there next time. How sad.....I just love toon town! Normally this would not motivate me to take tons of pics but under the circumstances I snapped a few.
Can't wait for the rest of todays TR......a very good day!!
Despite all my picking on of my dear hubby, I love him more than words can say. That said.....he provides tremendous entertainment for me!! LOL
Thanks for shareing with us everybody! I love revisiting our trip thru our TR's here!

Thanks! And we always look forward to sharing the TR's with you! At first I worried that how we wrote it together would be confusing to people, so far it has went pretty well.

Thursday Jan 27, 2011, Magic Kingdom EMH and 1900 Park Faire for dinner. Afternoon!
We left Toontown and rode Pirates after this wonderful Princess and Fairy encounter and slowly made our way back out the exit to take a break at our resort and have lunch. It was another beautiful day. After a quick break and a swim ( I believe Liz took a nap) we were ready to go back at it. We headed back to the Magic Kingdom in time to ride Space Mountain and see the Laugh Floor. We also stopped for a picture that turned out to be one of our favorite ones of just us:
And I had time to stop and try on a new hat:
Then it was on to stroll down that little path by the train tracks that connects Tomorrowland with Toontown. It seems not a lot of people know about this path because it is never crowded and we actually were the only ones on it. We will definitely miss this pathway the next couple years and sincerely hope they open it back up when all the Fantasyland expansion work is done. It’s always a good spot to get away from it all. We hopped on the train and rode it back to the Main Street Station, got off and picked out our spot to watch the Main Street Electrical parade. This was the first time we’ve seen it instead of Spectro Magic. It got rained out the night we were going to watch it during our August visit. We loved it! The music was catchy and the characters seemed a little more ‘loosened up’ than they are during Spectro. The Tinkerbell float that leads the parade was awesome. Tink was up top on the front waving, and when she turned to face us she happened to point and pout, then stick her nose up. I’m certain that was sheer coincidence. The Cinderella float was beautiful as well. She turned to look at me as she passed and smiled and sighed. I’m CERTAIN that was no coincidence. After the parade we hopped on a Monorail to the Grand Floridian and 1900 Park Faire. As those of you who follow our antics know, this is where I proposed to Liz years ago, so dinner here is always very special to us. This dinner certainly did not disappoint! We were seated just as Cinderella was visiting the table next to us so we got to see her right away! I wasn’t at all prepared but she made me feel right at home. She patiently waited while I got my shirts and photo book out for her to sign,
then posed for a picture with me
, then recruited a person nearby to take one of all of us.
She actually spent quite a bit of time with us so arriving at our table right while she was there was a good thing. Little did I know that was not the last time we would see her tonight. Before she left she called Druzilla over to have her look at my shoes, necklace, sweatshirt, scarf, etc.
Dru wasn’t really impressed but she stopped to take a picture with me anyway.
Next was Prince Charming who told me he was going to have to keep an extra close eye on me tonight.
Little did we know how right he was. Then it was Anastasia who seemed to warm right up to Liz. She plopped right down next to Liz and started looking at her photo book.
Liz then pointed out that I made the book for her and strangely there was only one picture of Anastasia in it even though she is Liz’s favorite stepsister. That went over well. Then Annie saw a picture of us with our kids and asked “Who are they?” Liz replied those were our kids, and then obviously Annie realized we were here for our Anniversary without kids so she turned the page, smiled and said “I don’t really want to be bothered with kids tonight”. Very cool, line. She then saw my shoes and had a fit!
Hmmm Is that Security in the background? Then it was stepmothers turn. She was just as impressed with me as always. Sighhhh.
Then the real fun began. Cinderella and the Prince went to the Center of the ball room for their dance, and they asked if any kids wanted to go up and dance with Cinderella. Anastasia came back to the table, and tried to get me to go up there and dance with Cinderella since I loved her so much. Liz quickly agreed and before I know it there I was not only dancing with Cinderella on the ball room floor but Twirling her, no less! She looked at me, smiled and said “Do you want to twirl me?” Sure!! So I did and she was as graceful as can be! I then kissed her gloved hand and thanked her for this dance and thanked her for everything she’s done for us over the years.
It was really quite the moment. Thanks Cinderella, Liz, and step sisters for making it all happen for me. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Definitely a night to remember and that will pretty much wrap up our day. We caught a ride back to our resort, finished off Pinky’s gift and reflected on a truly magical day.
Coming up next: Epcot and Breakfast at Akershush, and a very flirty Mulan!
