As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

Great Plans! My oldest DD doesn't have sensory issues but hates LOUD things...even tho she is extremely loud most of the time...she LOVES RF Cafe but she hated it at first she was really nervous. Ask the hostess when you check in if you can walk around the seating area so your kids can get a feel for it(I think that will help a lot)!
We'll get up on our own today with no alarm! Yeah! Of course, that probably means it will be the day the girls wake up early on their own. We'll probably swim in the morning and then head to our Kona Cafe ADR at 11. We love the breakfast food there. My DH and I have a "wedding" brick on the walkway close by so we have to visit it on every trip for a picture. Our next stop will be minigolf at Winter Summerland. We plan to tackle the Kitchen Sink Sundae at Beaches and Cream when we get hungry enough. I'm guessing that will be an early and unhealthy dinner. But, it's vacation, right. Gotta bend a few rules. We might visit Coronado Springs. I originally booked us here and then switched to CBR so I want to check it out for a possible future visit. We may rent a boat or surrey bike back at our resort tonight.
Day 5: Epcot
Another early morning so we can be at rope drop. The girls saw a video of Test Track and are eager to ride it for the fist time. I really want to try Soarin but my DH and DD8 sometimes get motion sick. I'm not sure if this is a good ride for them or not. Anyone have any thoughts on this? We're really looking forward to exploring the World Showcase. Last vacation it poured while we were at Epcot. We had a lot of laughs running through the rain but didn't get to explore the countries very well. We will also try out Kim Possible for the first time, have some laughs with Crush , and go to the AAA storytime. We have an early dinner at Le Cellier. We've never eaten here before. The cheese soup is the big draw for me. Yum!

We think we have finally settled on how to do the big reveal. My daughters have their own rooms, but they like to have sleep overs in eachothers room sometimes. We'll do a sleepover the night before so they will be together in the morning. We'll wake them up with breakfast in bed. We'll sprinkle Mickey confetti on the breakfast tray and we'll give them Mickey pancakes. There will also be a scroll tied with ribbon. When they open the scroll it will have a brief list of our daily plans.

I may have to steal it from you...if you don't mindIt got me ll teary eye cause soon after you do it I will be doing the same thing to my DD's I can't wait and I need to start a PTR...soonI'm gonna try and finish last time I never finished so I will try again...I love the planning part and with a surprise like you it will help me from blowing the secret...an outlet...so to speak

I am picking the boys up early from school. We are going back to the house. The boys think we are going camping for Labor day weekend. I have a DVD that has all of our pictures from our last disney trip. Slides have been put in that say remember last sept, remember the plane ride, remember the resort, so on and so forth. At the end it says well guess what, mommy, daddy, grammy, aunt donna, tyler, and dylan we are going again. The next screen has hurry run to the car because we are leaving right now.
I can't wait to see their expressions
