As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!

She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.

I am currently a SAHM and have been for the past 12 years. In my previous life I was an accountant (CPA--don't miss the hours!). I just recently started my own photography business. I'm also looking for some part-time work in the school system right now.
I am an Oncology Nurse(RN). I love my job. It can be very rewarding, but sometimes it is tough. Some days I leave work thinking I should quit and be a burger flipper...but the next day I may see a miracle or a sure sign that heaven is a real place...and the angels really do come and get you. That is what keeps me going!!

I'm a SAHM. I like to read, digital scrapbook, do pilates and outdoorsy things with my DH, like hiking, kayaking and biking. For several months each year I volunteer pretty much full time sewing costumes for my DD's HS Musical which most recently was Beauty and the Beast .
Work: 1) Middle school Math teacher (and I really don't like it)
2) DH2B and I run a small catering business on the side - hard work, but we really enjoy it
Fun: 1) Community theater - on-stage and backstage. I've acted in quite a few plays and done all the backstage jobs (lights, sound, props, stage manager)
2) Sewing - current project is my wedding dress - at the moment the yoke and sleeves are intimidating me. I'm also making a hat (not a veil) and evening bag to go w/ the dress.
3) Cooking - I like to play w/ my food - I'm always experimenting w/ recipes ("Hmmm, that sounds good, but if I added (insert ingredient here) I'll bet it would be better). When I'm alone in the house, I pretend I have my own Food Network show.
If I had my way, I'd be a SAHDM (stay at home dog-mom) and do free-lance sewing jobs. Actually, I'd be acting on Broadway, but the SAHDM gig is a bit more realistic.

I'm a stay-at-home mom and a Navy wife. Those 2 are pretty much the hardest jobs I have ever had.
I am getting ready to start some classes soon towards eventually becoming a travel agent (eventually . . . ) . . . in my "me" time, which isn't all that much anymore, I like to scrapbook and play around with my camera.
I am also a Guide/moderator on the boards, so I hang out here a lot.
on the 24th I am returning to school to get my degree in Occupational Therapy. I have a small home biz called Trisha's Treats (cakes and other baked goods), I am a songwriter/singer/ musician also.
Currently I am a full time graduate student working on getting my master's degree in counseling psychology. I also work part time as a HUC (health unit coordinator) in the cardiac unit of a local hospital. In addition, DBF and I are taking classes this month to become licensed real estate agents.
If and when I have any spare time left over, I enjoy scrapbooking, reading, hanging out on the PassPorter boards and Facebook, biking, walking, and my newest hobby, gardening. Oh, and of course traveling to WDW and points beyond!

I'm a Police Officer, and just completed 15 years of service this past May (started when i was 21). i love my job and do not see myself doing anything else.
for fun, i like to be outdoors, whether it be working on the yard, cruisin on my bike, or some other recreational activity (walking, camping, or anything of that sort). i like to bake, cook, clean house, wash clothes, iron, and some hidden talents are the ability to tear down a bathroom and make a new one from scratch and tinker with cars to get em working...when i have the time.
