Finally...got my parents to take a vacation...POR 9/20-9/29 - UPDATED 10/6 - Page 3 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Your plans and ADR's sound wonderful. You will love breakfast at 'Ohaba and the stepsisters at 1900 Park Fare are hilarious. I'm not sure when they changed the whole ketchup thing at WCC, but we were there on August 14 (this year) and they were defiitely still doing it.
It sounds like you are all set and you have everything under control. Hope you have a magical vacation.
I hope they are still doing the ketchup at dinner...If they are maybe I should have my Corey or Ernie go and grab one from another table that would be classic, I will have the camera's ready!

Alright so tomorrow at this time we will be on our flight to MCO!! I have finished everything on my list except the laundry...sheets.towels.vacumm & wash floors...that way I only have laundry to do when we come home.
DH is packing right now and wouldn't you know it he says he doesn't have enough stuff! MEN!!
Tonight we will be heading over to my mom's house that way we don't have to get up super early alright earlier than we need too and drive over to my mom's and pick them up. this way we can leave right from her house and head to the airport!
I did our airline check in at 7:50 this morning...We got A29-A34...pretty good I wonder if they start at those numbers or if people got in ahead of me. I kept trying for 2 mins before but it wouldn't let me. So I did it right at 7:50 give or take a few seconds because I guess my cell phone clock and computer clock must be fast because it still wouldn't let me when they said 7:50. Anyone ever get lower numbers than A29 when checking in at SW??
I will try to write again before I leave but not sure if I will get to a computer today!
Sounds like it's all coming together!! We got A19-A23 I think (I'd have to go back and look at my trip report). A1-A15 are reserved for business class (in which case there is usually no one with those tickets), so for most folks it starts at A16. You'll be fine with your numbers We were A59-B2 coming home, and didn't have any problems finding seats together
Alright, so I figured I better get started on my TR...
September 19, 2008 Sleeping over mom's!
So, after Corey finally finished packing and I could rearrange the suitcases to fit eveything...he decided not to take the duffel bag at the last minute because he knew all of his clothes wouldn't fit in. I was right...Just had to say that to him and also "I told you so!"
So, he dropped off our dog at the kennel I feel bad that she will be there for 10 days!
She is so active she will need to run around for hours when we pick her up in 10 days.
Corey picked Kaelan up from school while I got all the luggage ready to be put in the van. Checking my list twice maybe even 3 times.
Now, it was 3:30 and the little girl that I was taking care of got picked up early...spending weekend with her dad.
I put the luggage in the van, cleaned out the fridge and had Corey take the garbage out.
Alright we were all set to leave but we told DMinLaw that we wouldn't be leaving until 5pm or a little after to head to my mom's because that is when my work day ends but since she was picked up early we just sat around and waited...and waited...I mean it was only 4pm. the house was already cleaned, floors washed and laundry done. Corey's mom showed up a little before 5 which was great as we still had to stop for magazines to read on the plane mostly Corey's because I always have the girls sitting with me. We also had to think about dinner, so we decided on Pizza and DM was going to be picking it up on her way home from work!
When we got to mom's we quickly ate and then my mom had to drive her dog(Australian cattle dog) over to the kennel...ummm...it was 6:30pm and they closed at 8pm, we still had to eat and the kennel is 25mins from her house talk about close. She got back at 8:30pm not sure what she did as I was putting the girls to bed...gave them a quick shower and wouldn't you know they were so excited they didn't want to go to sleep...I finally had to lay done with them and get them to sleep. By that time it was 9:30pm and we had to get up at 3:30am I hadn't even showered yet! I should of showered while I was sitting around my house waiting!
My mom was doing laundry...she is a procrastinator can you tell...I don't know where I get my organization skills...alright I do procrastinate a little but not for vacation and definitely not for Disney!!
So I finally went to bed at 11pm, Corey was already sound asleep...Lucky him.
My mom said she went to bed at midnight...and got up at 3am...Crazy lady. You will hear she doesn't sleep much where as my DStepF needs 12 hours of sleep it seems he get her along with his!
Stay tuned...
Up next...Flying with DH and getting to resort will we make our BBB appt and hit some rides???
