As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:

Moving on with the current of the years.

It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. WOW!!! You've gotten alot done! I love the key rings - Chris and I were just discussing what to do for the bridesmaids/groomsman gifts... no ideas yet. I am sure it will come to us at some point!!
Arg! I am so mad! The keyrings were discontinued! And Ive been looking up other gifts all weekend but OF COURSE the company charged me first and then told me they are no longer being sold so I have to wait until after the holiday for the refund to post to my account! I have NO idea what to get them now! I want to find another keychain type thing so I can still use the charms from the necklaces but idunno! decisions, decisions! lol!

We have such similar taste in clothes-- I got these awesome deals in JCrew yesterday and I have to say you would love the polos there! Do you guys have one nearby? I got these cute old navy-esque roll up pants there too and an adorable bag! Oh and my dress from VS shipped out yesterday and they sent me a coupon for $10 any order of $10 or more in June! I might just order shower gel-- I looove their smell called Sweet Daydream from VS Garden line. I know you are a B&BW fan but do you ever get there shower gels?

Sorry about having to update the registries. I usually tell my clients not to do it more than 3 months before the date of event. Otherwise, seasonal stuff is gone, stuff is discontinued, better stuff comes out. . . . . yada, yada, yada.

You are such a sweetheart! Did you and the girls end up going to Woodbury? I wanna see some pics if you did. Me and Rob took a ride up there yesterday and I wished it hadnt been so spur of the moment cause I woulda asked you and Danny to come up too! I was disapointed in Disney Store-- I usually love their summer stuff but it was very "eh". I did replace my broken Gran Fiesta Tour mug with a cute Mickey one that says "Happy since 1928"-- lol! I think we spent under $20 in there though!

The money was the most stressful part so I am glad its on the horizon to be a done deal! I will update again after I get the girls something else picked out since my first choice was discontinued. I have been dating Rob since high school so I know what you mean! By the time we are 26 and 28 years old we will already be together for a decade!

Okay guys... so you will have to wait for a little while to get the Little Mermaid mini-report! We didn't go tonight. Rob was obvi only going because I wanted to and Im not feeling so great today. I am like ready for bed right now! lol! But luckily because of an issue with the way our tickets were printed Ticketmaster had given me a refund option so I can get our money back and we are going to re-order. We are just waiting to hear back from a couple who I wanted to invite to join us on our reschedule and then we are going to re-order for the summer. Havent decided for sure but we are thinking for a weekend matinee before the wedding but after school ends for me.
Also, guess what? On Wednesday- me, Rob, my mom, and my bro labeled, stamped, and stuffed all the envelopes! The invites are alllll out!!!!

Hey Mel, so sorry you aren't feeling so well. As you know I got the tix too and we took the boys two Tuesdays ago. And they LOVED it!!! Tyler can't stop talking about how amazing Flounder's voice was...I hope you get the Flounder we had, wait until you hear this kid sing!! My mouth dropped open. And of course Jason has quite the crush on Ariel and he loved her in her wedding dress. They had such fun. But, can I tell you the best part for me was that Craig came along and we had 3 boys with us and he could take them all to the bathroom during the intermission in about 3 minutes while all the poor moms waited on line with all of their little princesses. Sad when that's one of my favorite parts of the whole night huh??
Now...onto your updates. I love the keychains and how you're making them individual and personal. And those are GREAT tops and sundresses you've got for the honeymoon. Where did you get that green tank with the tie...it's so pretty. And that black dress is FAB!! And now that you've sent out the invitations the fun starts. I loved getting the mail every day to see if there were any responses. It's so fun to see all those little return envelopes in the mail.

Thanks! I am not too upset about the Little Mermaid becasue we are able to get a refund which is usually not the case with Ticketmaster, ya know? I don't feel as bad knowing that there is a silver lining to my cloud! lol!

Its so funny you said the response thing because my mom was just saying the same thing! She thinks its totally lame to have to call people and she said she hated that part of my sisters wedding! So heres hoping we get everyones back!

LOL! You are too funny! I always think little girls are so hilarious in the bathroom with their moms. They are always yelling things in the stalls that they shouldnt be saying. In DisneyWorld last year I heard a little girl say "Mom, you have a hole in your underwear" and I nearly fell off the toilet! lol! anyways, I never thought of what a headache it could be to have to take your kids, so I can totally see that being an added bonus! We are planning for late june/early july so hopefully we will get the same flounder!

Ohhhhh we are so like meant to be friends *L* i love me some JCREW!! I love the plaids they have and we do have one nearby! I'm going to check it out....and i'm a vicky's girl too...i wear their underwear ONLY...i call the rest of the stores underwear disposable underwear because it usually tears up in a month or two*L* I used be a big follower of amber romance but i keep hearing about the sweet daydream...i might have to try that out!

We have started looking, but with 10 months until the wedding, they are not as high a priority as other things (yet). Since we have SO many guests coming from out of town - I want to have them in the mail at the beginning of December.
Melissa - Hope you are feeling better. How is the keychain replacement hunt going? You are doing such a wonderful job of getting everything in place, I am sure you will be able to put your feet up in the last few weeks before the wedding and really relax and enjoy your special day!!

Well, for those of you on my Challenger thread you know all about my stress lately (if you havent gotten over there read my last post)-- totally work related and not wedding related but of course, I cheered myself up this evening with some retail therapy!
This time from Old Navy... oh and by the way, my Victoria's Secret stuff came and its super cute! I adore the black dress! And its 100% cotton so I can shrink it up when I lose more wieght! Coolbeans!
Plus I have the clothes from my sister that were a little snug so I should be in a pretty good place come summer time! I will only need to get a few tanks to match some of my shorts/skirts and maybe a sundress or some new sandals! I think I might order from VS again to get a white version of the black tee I bought last time, maybe some tanks then. who knows-- but you know me Ill be excited about it and post it up for you! lol!
In any case here is the new Old Navy stuff...
Oh and I almost forgot I got another pair of the Old Navy roll up cargos that my mom had gotten me for my birthday too! they are a M instead of L and are safari green tho! I don't know why I didn't upload a pic but you can use ur imaginations! lol!
Oh and I got these keychains for the girls since the ones I originally posted for you guys are not available anymore. I am still gonna add the charms to these too!
And as of Friday when the payments post to our accounts the bridal party gifts and our wedding bands will "officially" be paid in full! Woot woot! Now we are really down to those last couple payments and savings!
