The "Aren't you glad I booked the room?" TR - Page 22 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I can't believe the crowds, it really seems that you are getting things done ahead of schedule! Hope a good nights rest changed Abby's mind.

We couldn't believe the crowds either and yes, so far we've gotten everything done ahead of my schedule. You'll have to come back to see if that continues and to see what happens with Abby.
Great day! Too bad about the magic band. Hope Abby is able to get over that and enjoy the rest of the vacation. She'd been having such a great time so far. Maybe a good night's sleep will help her. Hopefully...

It was a great day. As for the MB, it happened but it certainly wasn't the end of the world since they are very replaceable. You'll have to come back though (I'm planning on tomorrow) to see if it affects the rest of the vacation.

Thanks. It was another great day with some bumps but so far, they'd all been at a minimum really. I'm planning on doing another day tomorrow so you'll have to come back then.

While part of me doesn't get the rude people at Disney, the other part does. They just haven't experienced Disney magic is what I think.
Friday morning I was up at 5:20 and Lenny just a few minutes later. I got ready for the day and looked at our receipts from the previous day. I was still upset by Abby's comments from the night before and debated about what to do. About 6:10, I woke her up and asked her what she wanted to do. Did she really want to leave the great vacation we'd bee having over something silly or did she want to stay and have more fun. She ultimately told me she'd stay and try to have more fun. We were out the door by 7 and on the way to the Beach Club, Lenny even tried to make a game of his losing his MB. "Abby, people lose magic bands all of the time. Let's see how many people you can find that are wearing a gray MB today. I bet you see lots of them." He even went so far as to say every time he saw one "he's a loser."
By the time we got to breakfast, Abby seemed in a better mood. We checked in for breakfast at Cape May Cafe and we were called pretty much as soon as they opened. I had asked for a table close to the buffet because we didn't have the scooter or a chair for Lenny and when the person seating us started walking by all the tables, Lenny asked why we were walking so far away from the buffet when we asked for a close table. He told us to wait a minute to have our tables changed and then he sat us at the table we've normally gotten in the past. Breakfast itself was good as usual. The only notes I have is I was very disappointed with the cinnamon buns they had, Lenny once again disliked the coffee and Abby tried something completely new. The buns had cream cheese icing on them like they normally do and they looked really good. Unfortunately the one I had tasted like it had straight cream cheese on it (which I don't like the taste of) and it totally ruined it for me. The coffee was once again too weak for Lenny and he did say something to the server. Abby got a banana filled crepe with some sort of sauce and she liked it. I tried it and the banana was good but I didn't like anything else about it. Lenny doesn't even remember trying it but I know he would have. Everything else we had was good. The interaction we had with Donald, Goofy and Minnie was fun too. Something new they did here this year was a "surfing party" where the characters and kids walked around the restaurant doing surfing moves to music. It was cute to see but since it was so early, there weren't that many kids to take part in it. When we actually saw the characters though I told Goofy to behave in the water, Donald to watch his temper and Minnie to keep her eyes on the other two. The water is someplace you need to stay safe and both Donald and Goofy needed someone responsible to do just that. We didn't spend too much time with the characters and overall breakfast went quickly but it usually does here. We were all tired and even though we talked some to the characters, we didn't talk much to each other so we were able to eat quicker.
We left the resort and headed to the Studios for the morning. There were more people than the rest of the week at security since we were there later (much closer to opening versus there for an 8 am breakfast) but we still made it quickly through. The guard even mentioned more people needed to get clear bags like ours. After we got through the turnstiles our first stop was for a wheelchair and our second stop was for a new orange MB for Lenny. We had the CM activate it and when I put Lenny's gray band away, Abby helped him put on the new one. Our first destination was going to be Pixar Place but Lenny wanted to stop for an ice coffee if he could. Lucky for him, I remembered seeing a Joffrey's Coffee where we were going. I think he thought I ignored him because I told him to just follow me. There was no line and he was asleep enough that he didn't see the sign on the building so he was pleasantly surprised when I asked him what kind of ice coffee he wanted. With that in hand, we made our way to the Woody and Buzz meet and greet. AS Lenny tried to get in line however, a CM stopped him telling him he couldn't use the scooter in the line. We were both surprised by that but he went and parked the scooter where he was told to and then he transferred to the wheelchair. We got back in line at 9:25. The line wasn't very long but it was wide so Lenny grumbled that he could have used the scooter. I'm sure Disney has their reasons for not wanting one in here and we had the chair so there really wasn't a problem IMO.
Abby had her picture taken with Buzz and Woody and when we left, it was about 9:45 so we went to our first fastpass of the day - Toy Story Mania. Unfortunately though once we got on the ride, more than half of it didn't work. It first started when we moved from the wheelchair loading area to the regular loading area. The second set of seats were facing sideways instead of frontwards. Then we did the pie toss to practice, which worked, but the first game we went right by and then stopped in the middle of nowhere. We started moving again and this time stopped in front of a screen but nothing appeared on it. The third screen we could play the game and then when it came to the final game, it worked for a minute but then when the mine carts came, nothing happened again. As soon as we got back to the platform, because they were closer to the CM, the other family spoke right up and said whatever it was they said. I also said something and the CM, in kind of a grumpy tone, said "would you like to ride again?" I said to her "yes, I didn't hear you offer it to us, that's why I spoke up. It would be great though if we could." Lenny had to run to the bathroom though so he got off but Abby, I and the other family went around a second time. This time was so much better. Everything worked and we had a lot of fun. When we came out of Toy Story, somehow Abby saw or heard the Green Army Boot Camp taking place and she wanted to see it so I told her to go ahead and watch it. I'd get us a DAS for Toy Story, find her father and then meet her there (at the Boot Camp spot). It was near the end of it though so she came back and found Lenny and I instead.
Even though we had already seen him once, Abby wanted to go see Olaf again. He didn't have a long wait time - maybe 10 minutes - so it didn't take that long to see him. When it was our turn, "In Summer" played again so Abby started to sing and dance to it. Olaf liked that she knew the song and the CM's were really patient and let her go. At the end, not only did the CM's clap for her, so did the people waiting in line. It was really cute and just made Abby really happy.
Still in her happy mood, we went to Muppetvision since it was close enough to where we were. There was no wait to get in and once inside, I'm pretty sure I dozed off. We had forgotten to check the store here for a penny on our previous day at the Studios so we did that when we left the theater. We found the penny but that was all that interested us and we moved on. Abby wanted Star Tours next since we had a fastpass for it but Lenny wasn't feeling up to riding it and I can't without getting sick. He didn't particularly want to see the Jedi Training either, which was getting ready to start so we agreed to do this. He would go have a cigarette or two but then meet us in the shady area by Backlot Express. I would watch the Jedi training with Abby and then go in Star Tours with her so she wouldn't be stuck in the line by herself. When the time came to ride, I would just go through and meet her at the end. With those plans in place, Abby and I went up to the rope to wait for the show to begin. Once it did, it got interesting.
It was very sunny and hot out and for anyone who has not seen this show, it's out in the open and the kids wear dark Jedi robes. Since it was hot, the CM's had a container there filled with waters they were giving the kids. There was an older guy standing near Abby and I who, after the show started, gestured to the CM standing by the water. I didn't hear what he said until the word "supervisor" was mentioned and the CM said he would radio her. A few minutes later, a woman showed up who approached the guy next to us and after that, it was not friendly at all. The guy told the woman Disney had some nerve having this show outside when it was so hot, they were putting the kids in danger, he knew a bunch of parents had pulled their kids out of the show because it was so hot, etc. The woman responded with "did we pull your child from the show?" I wasn't quite sure what the question meant but when the guy said no, she said "so we didn't pull your child from the show, your child is taking part?" at which point he got very loud saying "you're telling me I'm a bad parent now?" She kept trying to move him away from the crowd - Abby and I were right at the rope and they were right behind us so they were very close to the show and a lot of the crowd - but he kept getting louder and louder. She was finally able to get him away so I have no idea how it all ended (it's not my business to know). I hate to say it though but I agree with the Supervisor. This is something you sign up for, it's not something anyone is told to do so if you choose to let your child participate, it is on you, not Disney. If it's going to be a very hot day, keep that in mind because unless things get changed for the summer months, it will be held outside in the blazing sun. Okay, Public Service announcement over with.
After the Jedi Training, Abby and I used our FP for Star Tours as we had planned, I walked through when it was our turn and waited for Abby to come out. She liked her adventure but I don't remember what she said it was about. We found Lenny with no problem and after a quick trip to the bathroom, we went to use our DAS time for Toy Story.
We didn't stop for this show but we did happen to see them marching towards the stage.
This time at Toy Story everything worked as it should but no matter how many times I hit things for high points, Abby still won with the highest score in the car. We'd done pretty much everything we wanted to this day and we didn't have a lot of time before our next fastpass for the Frozen Sing Along but Abby wanted to go to the Star Wars Launch Bay again and see if she could find a Jawa to trade with again. We did find one - and only one - but this time a CM was with him and wouldn't let anyone monopolize the Jawa's time too much. Pretty much all he did was let people line up and take photos. We got in line and as it was our turn, I gave Abby another glow stick. The Jawa put it on his head and then looked through his bag and gave Abby a small battery operated candle. The CM then noticed Lenny on the scooter and proceeded to tell us how "tech Savvy" the Jawa's are. It was funny.
I then gave him a second glow stick and he was going to give me one of those gel type rings that you squeeze to make it light up but the CM stopped him from doing that. I don't blame him - the Jawa should save that for a little kid instead of an adult - so he gave me a star shaped slinky instead. I was quite happy with that and with our trades in hand, we made our way out of the Launch Bay and to the Hyperion Theater. It wasn't quite 1 PM yet - we still had about 10 minutes to go but something like 20 people were already in line for Frozen. When we were allowed to go through the touch point, the CM asked both Lenny and I if we would be transferring and we said no so he gave us both a lanyard to wear with a big "NT" and some numbers on it. When we got up to the top of the area, we were put in the little wheelchair holding area for those that would sit at the back of the theater which made me happy. When it was finally time for the show, we were very happy to see the person playing Royal Historian Eric was the one we really like. At one point in time during the show, a lady got up to leave (she had an infant, maybe it was getting fussy?). It was after whatever joke he made so he said "come on lady, you don't have to leave." Then as she continued leaving he said "I think I found Nemo" because she was wearing a shirt with orange and white stripes. We really enjoyed the show and it was a good way to end our day at the Studios. We were quite happy and hoping since we knew he was working that day that we'd get to see him later that night as Pirate Patch on our Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise.
On the way out of the park, we hit a penny machine for the last ones we were looking for in the park, had a photo taken and we returned the wheelchair and were out of the park at 2:19.
I had us leaving by 2:30 so we left pretty much on time. We went right back to the room where I called mom a little early in case I forgot later but I didn't get her and left a message I'd call her later. Then we all did something we've never done on vacation before - we laid down to take a nap. Abby didn't want to originally but I told her to at least try, and try she did. She even turned off the tv to do it instead of staying awake watching it. She and Lenny were asleep by 3:10 and me a few minutes later but unfortunately at 3:30 mom called me back. I guess she didn't understand the "we're going to lay down, I'll call you later." She did only talk for a few minutes but it had woken me up enough I didn't want to lay down again even though I tried. I decided to make some more notes and I did get tired again so I laid down again at 3:45. I did fall asleep again but woke up to my alarm at 4:15. When I sat up, I didn't see bright sunshine from behind the curtains so out of curiosity, I went outside to look. It was cloudy out with a very strong breeze so I knew a storm was coming. I just hoped it wouldn't affect our Pirate Cruise that night. I then went around to the front of the building (we were on the back) to see what was going on with the pool. It was closed and the lifeguards were standing by the doors to the laundry room even though it wasn't raining.
I went back in the room and woke Lenny and Abby. I told them the pool was closed due to the storm so we planned on going to get dinner at the food court and then they'd swim after if there was time and if the pool opened. A couple of minutes later, we heard a loud clap of thunder and then it started to pour. Of course we had left the canopy and the umbrellas in the car so I braved the weather and ran to get them. By the time we left the room at 5 for dinner, we didn't even need them anymore. Abby got a burger, Lenny pasta and I got the pot pie for dinner and everything was good. After we all sat down, I called the phone number I had to see if the Pirates and Pals Cruise was actually taking place and since the only message I got was how to book it or the one on the ferry boat, I knew we were good to go and it was happening. Dinner was good and as we were finishing up, the CM that does the pool games - which had been moved inside - announced that anyone who wanted to could come up and draw their favorite Disney character. Abby went up and drew Nemo.
She was done with that and dinner was cleaned up and even though it was 5:55, Abby still wanted to go swimming for just a few minutes since the pool had reopened. She was hoping she would be able to so she had actually put on her bathing suit and clothes over that for dinner. Lenny and I stayed by the pool and sent Abby for the goggles and some towels and then she came back and got in the pool.
She swam about 15 minutes and then got out when the pool game CM announced a game like musical chairs only this version was a musical rings. The CM put rings down on the ground that the kids had to walk around and when the music stopped, they had to get all 10 of their toes inside these rings. Abby was the third one out but she still go a piece of candy for her efforts.
Lenny watching Abby from the pool.
I finally got both Lenny and Abby out of the pool and into the room to get ready for our Pirates Cruise and we made it to the Contemporary about 7:20. When we pulled up to the guard shack, he scanned Lenny's band and then asked why we were there. We told him and he seemed like he had absolutely no clue what we were talking about but he let us through. We went to valet, put the scooter together and went upstairs to the 4th floor. There were a couple of new coins we needed from here. As we were getting our things together, there was a family there with a couple of small kids getting the pennies. The little girl was small and even though her brother was happy with the penny he chose, she wanted Tinker Bell - which is a quarter. The mom said no, she wasn't getting the quarter as she didn't have enough for it, what penny did the girl want and recognizing a tired and soon to be cranky kid, I spread some magic. I took out our quarters, pressed one and gave it to the mom. "I heard you say she wanted Tinker Bell." She was really surprised but we said that's what we like to do. Abby then pressed whatever penny it was they were going to get and gave it to her too. The mom wouldn't let us refuse the 51 cents for the penny even though I told her that's what we like to do but they all left happy. We then got our coins and went to do some pin trading. As usual, Abby told Lenny and I what we wanted to trade for but she had fun picking out the pins she wanted. Pennies and pins away, we then went down to the second floor to wait to check in for Pirates and Pals.
This year, there was a woman there dressed as a pirate with a small table of things you could buy. Sculley the parrot from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, the parrot from Pirates of the Caribbean, small swords, pin sets, etc. We didn't buy anything but we talked with her for a bit and then when all the pirate stuff came out for the cruise, we checked in. Abby was given her scavenger hunt form and in about 5 minutes, we had that all done and had received a couple of gold doubloons for our efforts.
About 8:30, Lenny said he wanted to go out and have a cigarette, he remembered where to go and he'd be back in time. No, he wasn't. At 8:45 when the doors opened and Patch came out, he still wasn't there. I, not meaning to, got Patch's attention right away. He came out the door, welcomed us and told us he'd like to introduce himself "as this woman awkwardly takes my picture."
I knew he was coming, what can I say? Everyone else was milling about and didn't seem to have any clue where we were going or what was going to happen. After Patch - the one we were hoping to have - introduced himself, we went into the room and as Abby walked by, he said "I know you're sweet because you're dressed like Cotton Candy." Despite the joke, Abby wasn't happy. Lenny still wasn't back and he had the backpack with her autograph book in it. I tried to tell her he'd be back, we'd get Hook's and Smee's autographs but she still wasn't happy. Then when Lenny did arrive - really only two or three minutes later if that - he said it was my fault it had taken so long. I had put the backpack on the scooter with the straps hanging and then they got caught in the wheel of the scooter and one of them broke the plastic piece. Having such a good trip so far, my response was "is this a big deal? Is it really? Oops, oh well" and then we went about having pictures taken and eating snacks.
When Lenny went to get to some pretzels, one the CM's said to him "pilfer.' Lenny said "huh?" He said again "you're a pirate, so pilfer." That was his way of saying take what we wanted to go with us so we took some pretzels, some popcorn, some chocolate coins, a couple of bananas and some cotton candy to take with us. While there we each had a piece of cake, some chips and salsa and of course a Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich (no Mickey Bars here). Partway through the party, it finally dawned on me, only one Patch came through the door originally. Last year there had been two which made me wonder if only one boat was going out this year. Since Lenny uses a scooter and had to leave via an elevator, we got taken down a few minutes before everyone else and boarded so it wasn't long before I had my answer. There was indeed only one boat and I asked the CM with us about it. She said it had been on the quiet side at Disney so only one boat was being used for this and the second one was being refurbished. I then commented how we were very happy with the Patch who would be on the boat. We had him last year and he was really lots of fun, that's why we were doing it again. She told me she had met him before and he's like that in real life as well.
Once everyone was on the boat, we headed out and got to watch the Electrical Water Pageant. After that there were jokes to be told, songs to be sung, and anniversaries and birthdays to be celebrated. Of course when it came time for the birthdays, Lenny willingly raised his hand this year and said "daddy" when asked his name hoping it was so odd that Patch would remember from last year. He didn't seem like he did but he still made jokes about it. Then it was time for the fireworks. I didn't even attempt to take pictures, I just sat back, relaxed and enjoyed. Something seemed different about them this year but since I haven't seen them a lot, I can't say what might of been different other than maybe the colors of the fireworks. On the way back to the Contemporary, it was time for the movie trivia. He would ask for a movie title and whatever one he heard (because everyone shouted at once) is the one he would pick. He did a couple and questions were asked and answered, then someone said Peter Pan. The question was "Mr Smee has a tattoo. Does anyone know what that tattoo says." Lenny, never having seen the animated version, quietly whispered to me "it probably says mother" and I agreed he was probably right. No one raised their hand and Patch was surprised. "No one knows?" Lenny raised his hand at the question and answered and was right so he won a red pirate slinky. Then a Frozen question was asked and just like last year, supposedly two hands went up at once so Patch had the two girls come to the front of the boat. If one answered first, the other got the prize and vice versa, if they both answered at the same time, grandma (a woman he picked on during the cruise) would win the prize. The answer was Olaf and both girls got prizes (each got a rubber ducky I think). Then a question was asked from Aladdin. "What is the name of Jafar's parrot?" Abby raised her hand and got picked. She knew the answer was Iago and she won a small teddy bear (think the size of a McDonalds beany baby bear) wearing a pirate hat and patch over his eye. She named him Patch (anyone surprised?? I'm not). A question or two later, we made it back to the Contemporary resort to find Peter Pan waiting for us. We were sitting in the second row and the scooter was on the very back of the boat and no one took it off for Lenny so we had to wait for everyone to get off. That took a few minutes as any kids that didn't win a prize were told to see Patch before they got off and he handed out prizes left and right to them. He even let a couple of kids that had won prized exchange them for something else. We were the last to get off and when we went up, I told him what a great job he does and how it was because of him that we were on it again. We had seen him last year and had a lot of fun. He said he had remembered us as a family but not the "daddy" portion of it. He also gave Abby a couple more things - a pirate hat and a pirate hook - and then he said "I actually wanted to give you something else when you answered the question but I couldn't find it." It was one of those spiky gel type balls that when you squeeze it, it lights up. He called it a Pixie Ball because there's a pixie stuck inside of it. I thought that was really sweet of him.
As I talked with him, he said if I wanted, I could tell his supervisor what I had told him and I said "I will, where is she?" She was standing right there on the dock and I told her the same thing. "He's great and the reason why we did this again. He's a lot of fun and you can tell he just enjoys what he does." I don't know if she really paid attention or not, she didn't seem like she was because as soon as he got off the boat, she started walking towards the Contemporary. As he walked, since Abby and I were going to be last anyway for Peter Pan (Lenny had to scoot ahead to the bathroom), I talked with him. He was really nice and funny. I even told him how we had seen him earlier in the Studios and that Abby shouted "puddle" hoping he would remember her. He said he had heard her but wasn't sure where it came from. He even asked if we would be back next year to which I said "I think only if we hit the lottery. We worked our butts off to get back this year."
Once we got to the Peter Pan M&G, I asked if we could have one more picture and at first he thought I meant Abby but I wanted a picture so Abby took it. He then had to go and we waited the last few minutes to see Peter Pan. By this time Lenny had come back. It was late, we were all tired so the interaction with Peter was quite short but I was okay with that. I didn't do the cruise for him, I did it for the rest of the experience and it was just a lot of fun.
By 11, we were back at valet for the car and we went straight to the hotel. Abby was in bed and asleep at 11:45 and Lenny and I were shortly thereafter. I think I was probably asleep as soon as my head hit the pillows.

I am so glad that your Pirate & Pals Cruise was once again excellent. We too love it but "Patch" truly takes it to another level of fun & enjoyment. I will admit that this experience has spoiled us and I totally understand just sitting back and enjoying the fireworks/view. The pics of you all with your shirts was so awesome. Those pics were excellent. Was the bandana a giveaway from the cruise or did you make those also? I think as always you made the most out of your day. I definitely think the nap was well overdue in your vacationing. Glad Abby recovered from the MB drama and despite the weather still got a little swimming in. Another "practically perfect" day for the memory books.
Great update! Love all your photos, you do such a great job documenting your trips! LOVED the story of the guy who yelled to the lady who was leaving with the infant..... (I think I found Dory! lol!!) That's the sort of Disney fun you just don't really get anywhere else.
