Eight is Enough - A July 2014 TR with cousins, club level and more Updated 3/29 DHS and Frozen Fun - Page 22 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I have to agree with Maci that nighttime seems to make lots of folks rude and grumpy and everyone is fair game for them to take this out on. Unfortunately, it's the adults who seem to behave the worst.
Sorry about the rude lady on the bus. It looks like you had a lot of fun at Mk and EPCOT. I don't ride the orange side either. It makes my hair feel weird fot the rest of the day.
Liz
The end of the night brings out the worst in a lot of people, sorry about the seating situation on the bus Love the short waits though!
I honestly didn't even remember about the bus situation until I read my notes, so I guess it didn't ruin our vacation Thanks for reading.

We had a great time. I don't really feel sick when I ride orange, I just feel like I'm going to die during the one part of the ride, lol. Are you ok with the green version?
Glad to see you writing again! Sounds like a fun day. Always nice to spend time with friends... especially in the bubble! Sorry about the bus issues. That is the absolute worst time to be riding the bus, when everyone is exhausted and patience is thin. It's unfortunate that no one offered your son a seat. Now that our kids our older, we do that all the time, no matter how tired we are. I remember how much we appreciated the kindness of others.
I was way behind but ask caught up now. Sounds like you're having a great time overall. I remember holding one of the boys on a bus when they were 1 and no one getting up even after holding on for dear life. I thought my MIL was going to blue her lid on the people on the bus but remained quiet because sometimes it's just not worth it.
Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have 75 days until our next trip and I'm determined to finish this trip report. Thanks to everyone who is still reading.

It was not a fun bus ride at all.

It's frustrating, but I guess there's nothing we can do.

Today we were heading to one of our favorite parks, Hollywood Studios. Not sure why some people don’t really like this park, but we love it. We got up bright and early, got ready, and headed to the lobby to wait for my Dsis and her family. We waited for a DHS bus for a while and then we were finally on our way.

Once in the park, we were in a hurry to make our TSMM fastpass. I think we had like 10 minutes left before we’d lose it. As we were running to Pixar place, my sister ran into some friends from back home (New Jersey) and she stopped and talked to them for a while. The rest of us continued running to Pixar Place. I felt bad, but I didn’t want to lose this FP+. Eventually, we did meet up with my Dsis again and we made our FP. My sister’s friend’s two older sons stayed with us the rest of the day while their family went back to their hotel. The boys happened to have a FP+ plus for the same time, so we were all able to go on together.
Brianna and Aidan waiting in line
After the ride, we had some fun with a green army man.
Next, we headed to Frozen Funland (at least I think that’s what it’s called). We had no idea what to expect here, but it was a nice break in the air conditioning. There was a short ice-skating show. Then, you could pay to ice skate. My Dsis paid for her family and her friends’ kids. DH, my boys, and I decided to sit this one out. We’ve never ice skated before and I didn’t feel like risking an injury at the beginning of our trip. We watched them skate for a few minutes, but then decided to head out and meet Mike & Sulley since we knew my sister’s girls weren’t interested in meeting characters this year. Looking back, I wish we would’ve skated; maybe next time. We had a short wait before it was our turn with Mike & Sulley.

The only pictures I have with Mike and Sulley are Memory Maker pictures. I will post those all later.
My sister still wasn’t done skating, so we decided it was time for a snack break while we waited for them.
Aidan got a Mickey bar
DH's face is hilarious.
DH got a Mickey ice cream sandwich
Jared and I had glazed almonds.
We sat on a bench and enjoyed our snacks. That is until…….
Aidan’s Mickey bar fell off the stick and into my hand. I started feeding it to him and he made a huge mess. Aidan didn’t care, he was enjoying his ice cream. He was eating it so fast, at one point he thought he was biting his bar and actually bit my finger really hard. I screamed so loud. That was the end of the bar. He and I went over to the water fountain and got cleaned up. Eventually, Dsis and the gang met up with us and we headed to our next FP+, Star Tours. Don’t worry, my finger recovered.
Up next: Star Tours, lunch at ABC Commissary, and will I die on TOT.......
