We're going to WDW! Adventures of a Mom & Toddler the TR! 9/24-9/30/2010 - Page 20 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I know and I am getting so excited! Now if only I can find my camera. I know my Aunt whom we're staying with is getting super excited as is my Grandma. I know my Grandma is getting extremely excited that she'll have all 6 of her Daughters together again with her (it's been a really long time).
Now only had I gotten the Memo that there is an Autism Confrence out there days-a week after I leave, that would have been good to know too, as I could have tried to be out there for that too, but oh well. I am very much looking forward to spending a vacation with family in one of my favorite cities and meeting Passporter Friends! I also can't wait to see my mom soon too. It will be so nice to celebrate a Holiday this year with her and her family.
I just hope I don't come home be-headed for getting Skyler a Chicago Bears jersey to wear during football season. I can so picture right now the Queen of Hearts "Off with you head".

I appologize our pictures will come much later (I can't get into my Photobucket account), but I do want to share the rest of Skyler's and my Disney Adventures with you before it gets too late (and believe it or not eventhough this is months later without notes, I was able to almost as accurately relive our trip to get it finally typed out to share with you all). Without further adeux:
9/29:
We woke up at 7 and Mom & I got ready first, letting Skyler sleep in some. Mom had to gather her things together, as this was her departure day after our Breakfast at 'Ohana. She gave me her room key to keep. We woke Skyler up and got him ready in no time at all. I also needed to get my backpack for today ready before we headed out the door. Once we got to the elevator and were on the first floor, mom had noticed her keys were missing. She thought she grabbed them off of her bed, but they were nowhere to be found in either her purse or her suitcase. I gave her my key to the room and she went back up and they had somehow fallen off the bed. I was slightely panicked they would give away our reservation, as it was getting closer to the time we needed to be at The Poly at for our 8:45 ressie. Sure enough we were with time to spare. We opted not to have our picture taken with the sign. My mom couldn't figure out why and thought it could be added onto the PP CD, however when I told her the price, she said we could certainly pass on it. We parked Skyler's stroller and took a seat once I had received our pager. This is where I had to get a picture of Skyler & my mom alone, and she took one of Skyler & I while we waited to be seated. Skyler wasn't particurly crazy about his Lei, so I wore it in my hair around my sloppy bun. If there's one thing I love, Hawaiian Leis!
After a 5-10 minute wait, we were seated and Dana was our server. She was very prompt with our juice and informed us the characters would start circulating soon. We did ask her for some Apple Juice for Skyler, which was brought out very quickly. I wish I remembered or wrote down a very sweet CM's name from 'Ohana who admired Skyler's Character Meal Autograph Book, despite the pictures being semi blurry (but Skyler doesn't know that). He thought it was quite creative (thank you all for the idea of customized autograph books). Mickey was first to visit our table, followed by Pluto. This is where I went wrong. I had plenty of Sharpies at home, and forgot to pack some, as regular pen ink didn't show up too well on the pages made for the 'Ohana Characters to sign (the blue ink was just a tad bit too dark). We could read Mickey's, however Pluto asked our server for a Sharpie so he and the rest of the characters could sign with that. Our breakfast came and we got to eat a tad bit in between the character interaction. Lilo & Stitch came around after Mickey & Pluto. Skyler must have gotten really comfortable with the characters, as he actually let Lilo pick him up. I was so surprised, but in a good way. It actually made a lot of great pictures with her. Skyler was even loving his Daddy's favorite Blue Alien Stich. Stitch loved it when I told him Skyler is frequently referred to as our Stich.
They started the kids parade, and my mom insisted I let Skyler join in and she would take a video with her video camera of it. Skyler was in heaven when we were a few people behind Pluto. He had so much fun shaking the Maraca in the Parade, it was nice to see him not so shy and participate in something fun with the other children. All of the characters circulated a second time and came around for a quick second visit each. Stich even came and licked Skyler & I on the face which we have on video too.
Our breakfast was so delicious. Mom & I were loving the Mickey Waffles, as Skyler went to town on the Scrambled Eggs. We all thought the food was excellent, the service was great, and we couldn't get enough of the Characters. I will say we will certainly come back to 'Ohana again, not only for the Characters, but the Breakfast was well worth it too. My mom even appreciated the fact that I had to plan a meal at a Resort where we had a very fond memory of Hula Dancing on my first trip at the Luau. She even clearly remembered that. It even brought up a great point to her, and I hope she can find as many of our old WDW Pictures as possible, because she said I should have brought those for the Characters to sign for me. I thought that was so sweet of her to say that, especially since that would make a great Autograph Book for myself.
When we went to settle the bill, I had noticed I forgot to bring my spending cash for the day and my tip envelope for our 'Ohana Breakfast. Mom offered to leave the tip for Skyler & I for this Breakfast, since I had included her in my Tip Envelopes, and she left her own tip for this meal. All was situated and we had used up the last of our TS Credits here. After breakfast since we didn't get to ride the Monorail the previous day because it was down in the morning, and heards of Disney Guests headed there instead of the Ferry after MNSSHP, we decided to take a nice and relaxing ride on the Monorail with Mom. We just took the Resort Loop. Mom even finally got to see the exterior of the Wedding Pavillion, and even realized how nice it is, and the first thing she even said to me was "Now I can understand how you wanted to get married at Disney, and how saving money for a VR in WDW is worth it to you." She's finally getting my love for Disney and all it has to offer, and it's beauty. We left the stroller parked in The Poly while we went on our Monorail ride, and gathered it after our ride was over. There were some lobby pictures I wanted to get inside of there and we had a perfect angle from the second floor. Mom happily obliged and took those for me. We then headed down to the lobby and took the picture of Skyler & I with the Lilo & Stich Surfboard (thank you Dawn for the idea). It was then that it was time to say our farewells to Mom. I don't think she could fight the tears, and mine just wouldn't come out, but I can promise you, I was starting to miss my Mommy. After hugs were exchanged, she headed back to her car and headed to the Orlando Premium Outlet Mall, and we were headed to the Bus Stop for AK. We waited all of 5 minutes for a bus and were on our way.
As soon as we got to AK, we were ready for a few pictures outside of the Bag Check and PP Photographer took a few with our camera and some that are on our PP Card. We made it to bag check and I swear this Bag Check CM was quite thorough taking his sweet time going through everything in my backpack (although all zippers were open, everything was easy accessable, nothing should have been an issue of banned substances), and was the only CM who checked the bottom of my stroller, which only had Skyler's rain cover, my windbreaker, and 2-3 bottles of water for the day and then finally let us through to the turnstiles. I know he was only doing his job and I tried to make it easy for him, but I swear he took longer than security in the airport screening our bags.
We made it through the turnstiles and had to have a manditory picture taken with The Tree of Life. After that, we headed to Africa to get FP for the Safari. The wait was only 10 Minutes, so we went in the SB line, however had FP for later. The line actually was only 5 minutes, and they even let us through with Skyler's stroller and had it parked and ready for us when we got off. We were actually seated in the first row behind the driver. We had awesome seats. Skyler looked straight ahead the entire ride and didn't turn his head once to look at the animals. I think I got some pretty decent Safari Pictures, which I will let them do the talking for me. I couldn't believe how close a Rhino was to my side of the Jeep. We did get to see the Lion & Lioness, however they were two very sleepy kitties. Our Safari Guide Emily was awesome and very entertaining. I laughed the hardest at her, and I loved how she referred to the Ducks as "The Mighty Ducks". We even got to chat with her as we were coming out of the exit as she was exiting as well, and had to compliment her on what a great Guide she was.
After exiting the Safari, we took the PFT. I had to see Lily the baby Gorilla, and get a glimpse of the Silverback Male Gorilla that was born in the DC Zoo. We did see an interesting sight of one of the Gorillas, scratching his rear (however not as quite entertaining as one of my dad's impersonations of an Orangutan at the DC Zoo years ago doing something quite gross, but yet funny). I couldn't tear myself away from the Gorillas. They are such beautiful animals. After PFT, Skyler & I were starting to get a tad bit hungry and tried to order the Picnic in the Park for lunch, only to find out it had stopped being served (bummer). We then headed to Pizzafari and used our remaining CS Credits here. Skyler had the kids Cheese Pizza with water, carrots, & Grapes, and I had the Adult Cheese Pizza & Caesar Salad Combo with yet more Chocolate Musse, and a coke. We were also surprised by the very friendly CM behind the window getting our food ready whom I kindly asked if we could have a little assistance getting our food to a table. She even brought out a Birthday Cupcake for us and everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Skyler & I. Skyler's eyes went huge at the sight of the cupcake. I did get pictures of lunch this day.
Mom had left me with a bag full of $20 in change and I still hadn't exchanged it for any Disney Dollars for Skyler yet, so a sweet CM in there had helped me out and told us to go to GR to exchange it. What do you know this CM was from a couple of towns over from us in Fairfax, VA. We ate our lunch and then set loose after a bathroom stop for me and pull up change for Skyler to either try watching FotLK, or meet characters. We were just in time for a 1:00 show of FotLK, so we headed that direction. We had Skyler's stroller with us, and just as they were informing us of the noises we needed to make for our section (we were in the Giraffes), Skyler got really bent out of shape and it was only to find out it was a #2 in his pull up and he would have none of it. I located a CM who was so sweet and got us out of there as fast as possible before the show started, directed us to the restrooms and even to the character trail. Pochahantas was waiting with no line right outside of the Ladies room and I promised her we would be right back to come and visit her. She said she would be waiting for us, and that she was. There was another child visiting her when we returned, but she kept her promise and waited to meet Skyler. She was the most friendly and beautiful Pochahantas, and Skyler certainly loved her. She asked him for a hug and he gave her one, and she had asked him if she could give him a kiss (well to Skyler that would be a kiss on the lips), and he tried to give her a kiss on the lips, and she pointed to her cheek which he finally did. She even asked if she could give him something and gave him a lipstick kiss on his cheek. We said our goodbyes to Pochahantas, and went off to meet more characters.
We then went to get in line to meet Mickey & Minnie Mouse, followed by I think Chip & Dale, Donald & Goofy, in which this Goofy even signed Skyler's Autograph "Goofy (or Foof)"! Next we met Miss Bunny, and then we noticed Meeko was out. Pochahantas had to go on her Break, but we did get to meet Meeko. We were then going to go insearch of the 100 Acre Wood Characters, but my legs were killing me. We walked to the front of the Park, went to CR for Skyler's Disney Dollars, and then exited the park and headed back to our resort. It was 2:30-3:00ish.
We weren't waiting too long before a bus to the All-Star Resorts arrived and we were shortly back at ASMv. This is where I got turned around and we went to the wrong building and I was inserting my room key into the wrong room (oops). I for some odd reason thought we were in the building behind Pongo, not Purdita. We spent about 20 minutes lost in the wrong building, before I thought, try the other building. Sure enough it was the other building we were in. I even brought our Halloween Pooh, Eeyore, & Stich to place in our window so we knew which room was ours, and those sure helped when we went to the right building.
We unloaded the bulk of the day's things and I packed Skyler's smaller backpack with what we needed for the evening and just grabbed the stroller with Skyler in it, and we headed to the bust stop for DTD. Our original plan was to meet my friend Annie from HS at DTD, however she never made it thinking the weather was going to be horrible and it was going to take too long for her to drive in, and then meet Stephanie at ASMu after we returned back for a movie by the pool with her and her family, however it took forever for me to find at least something to bring home for Erick, DFIL, & DMIL, so I gave her a call to let her know I dind't think we'd be able to make it, thinking nothing of it that she probably left her phone at home. So sorry again Stephanie that we didn't get to meet up, but you can't blame common decency of a phone call to let you know we wouldn't make it. Once at DTD, we headed into the Scrapbook store where I did buy some scrapbook supplies, and then realized how much it was weighing down Skyler's stroller and that I could buy Scrapbook Supplies when I got home returned it and had the cash back in my pocket, minus what I spent on a pair of Cars Ears for Skyler's friend Anthony.
Skyler was getting cranky and needed a snack, so we went to Mickey's Pantry, and we found our cookie cutters, pancake rings,Bride & Groom Mickey & Minnie S&P Shakers, and some Mickey Pretzels & Mickey Shortbread cookies for Skyler to snack on. We next headed to Team Mickey in search of the LSU Mickey shirt for DH & DFIL and the only ones they carried were the UF Gators. No thank you. This Florida State Seminole lover(I had always dreamed of going to FSU ever since I was 8 years old) won't touch a Florida Gator anything with a 10 Foot Pole (no offense to any Gator Fans), and since DFIL is LSU Alumni, UF just wouldn't do in this house. I will have to order it for them online where I saw them in the Theme Park Merchandise section of the Disney Store's Website. Next was for some toy shopping for Skyler in "Once Upon a Toy".
Skyler was in his glory with the sight of the Mr. Potato Head bar. We grabbed 2 boxes and were nerely to a third when a very kind CM asked us if we wanted the fillable Plastic Mr. Potatohead container which fit 3 boxes worth of parts for $10 less. Sure we will, please. We were able to fit everything but a Jetpack in which cost me $2.50 for the part and then $5.00 for Dumbo, but well worth the money, and what a great souvanier for Skyler. That wasn't all we purchased at OUAT. We also found a mini Buzz Magnadoodle, a small Handy Manny Plush Doll, and a Handy Manny Halloween Book with a Trick-or-Treat Bag (all which Skyler pulled off the shelf himself). Since I knew he had his spending money burning a hole in my pocket, but well worth the $95 spent in there on Skyler, and believe me he plays with all of his souvies every day!
We were still in search of some souvies, so next was to the pin shop, figuring I'd find something for everyone in there that was in the limit I had set for everyone else, but Erick. We found a Mickey Mouse pin for DBIL Mike, & DFIL Miguel, a Tinkerbell Pin for DSIL Celeste, a Pooh Pin for DSIL Chrissy, and still needed to purchase something for DMIL. I had to still find something for DMIL, so we did have to purchase a whole Pooh Cuties Starter Pin Set to get just a Piglet Pin for DMIL Laurie. Everything else I saw that was Piglet was a stuffed animal and she's really not into stuffed animals. We looked around WOD for Erick and the Polo Shirt I loved for him they didn't have in his size (but our resort did), so I waited to purchase his the next day. Skyler wanted to play and pull me into the interactive fountains, and ran the second he saw the water. He then quickly fell a sleep in his stroller. We did head into TrenD where I spotted other D& B Purses and Wristlets I hadn't seen in the Emporium, and actually fell in love with the Princess Wristlet I purchased instead of my Large D&B Sketch Tote (which I loved, but was very happy when they told me with the receipt and my card it was purchased with could bring it back and return it at the Gift Shop in our resort). This was a huge saver for me as we didn't make it back to MK the next day. My Wristlet was $70, but comparing the price to the Large Tote, I still got a D&B Disney something that I loved without hearing Erick ask me "How much did you spend on that?" when I came home. We did stick around a little bit longer and got dinner from Wetzel's Pretzels and shared some Pretzel Bites and a Frozen Lemonade. We headed back to the bus stop, and as we were arriving 3 busses heading back to the All Stars Resorts had just passed us by. We were waiting quite a bit for another bus as every other resort on Disney Property came quite a few times and we were still waiting, waiting, waiting. This is where Skyler had another meltdown, and after 15 minutes of throwing a huge fit, finally said "I want Handy Manny". That was an easy fix as I could put it on my phone for him while we waited. All he had to do was tell me what he wanted.
Luckily a bus came, and a very nice man helped me with our stroller and even got it off the bus for us as he was staying at the same resort. We headed back to the room, dropped off our bags from DTD, and got the D&B Purse, and my receipt and headed to the gift shop to return it. We made it just in time too. It did take us at least 10-15 minutes (maybe longer) to return my D&B Purse, but I completely understood as it was a large purchase amount. I was ever so thankful I did learn I could make the return in our Resort Gift Shop as Skyler & I didn't make it back to Magic Kingdom on our last day.
I know somewhere in here we used 2 SC for Popcorn & a Mickey Bar to share, but maybe the Popcorn here to share before dinner and the Mickey Bar our last day.
After returning my purse, Skyler and I got a Mickey Rice Krispy Treat to share and apple slices for Skyler and headed over to see the Toy Story section of our resort (more or less to hear Skyler's elation). He was in a world of his own. I did manage to get night shots of the Toy Story Section. It was nice to just sit in there and eat our snacks before heading back to our room. After getting cleaned up, it was bed time for us both..
9/30/10:
I woke up at 7 am to get our bags packed. I could barely move. My muscles were so sore. Now I have to admit, my bags weren't as neatly packed as they were going to Florida, as I just threw everything in and made sure all 3 bags weren't overweight. I got Skyler up and dressed, called and paid our baggage fees, and then called down for the Bellhop to help me get our bags checked in for our flight. In the mean time Mousekeeping came to clean the room and I politely told them we would be out soon (I did express check out and since I didn't charge anything to the room, was already checked out). I did also offer them the large amount of bottled waters we had left in our room since it was so hot, and knew I couldn't take them in my carry on bag. Now I have to say Disney made it so easy for me to check in and not worry about my bags until we got back home (Thank you Disney). We only had one man in line in front of us and were checked in for our flight in a matter of minutes. I hung onto our backpacks, but left my larger carry-on bag with them.
Skyler and I were hungry, so I bought us breakfast on our last day. Skyler had the kids Breakfast Platter of Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, and Grapes, while I had one last Mickey Waffle, Bacon, and hash browns. Skyler had some of my waffle and hash browns too. I did buy one resort mug to bring home with us just as I love taking my drinks everywhere at home with me in it. We sat and enjoyed our breakfasts while people watching. We did have one more order of business, finding Erick the right souvanier. I had seen a Polo Shirt with the 2010 logo on it in WOD, but not in Erick's size, however we did find it in the Gift Shop in our hotel, which I bought that and a Mickey Mouse Baseball Hat for Erick. Now I know my mom may have complained about the Polo Shirt being quite pricey, but it was well worth the money for bringing home for Erick when he so generously sent us on our trip (and he has worn it to work quite a few times which makes me happy).
We then went walking around our resort and first tried taking Skyler to the playground, however on one of the logs they needed to cut it down, and asked us if we could come back or use another of the All-Star's Playgrounds. Here's where we went and caught the Day Time Toy Story section of our building and took more pictures. We waited until we couldn't hear the chain saw anymore and then headed back over to the Playground. Skyler had a ball. This was the first time I had ever really seen my son enjoy himself at a playground and enjoy playing in the sand. He had the Playground all to himself and had a ball. It was so nice to sit back, relax, and enjoy taking pictures of him just being a 3 year old little boy and playing (even if he had a ton of sand in his pants too). Skyler doesn't like to get messy like most little boys do.
We then decided we needed a Bio break and Pull Up Change and went to the restrooms in the Fantasia Pool area. Once Skyler was in shorts, although we didn't officially take a dip in the pool at our resort, we decided to sit at the smaller kids pool and just sit and let our feet have a nice relaxing dip in the pool. Skyler was completely game for that. We still had a few hours to kill, so we walked around and took pictures of all the ares of our resort (sadly we missed the Mighty Ducks area and it's sad for me since I loved the Mighty Ducks movies). This was also where I realized I didn't have any pictures of the 101 Dalmations area where we were in.
We finally got so hot and needed some air and more nourishment, so we went back into the Food Court and shared an Adult's Speghetti with a bread stick (minus the meatballs). The plate of Speghetti was huge, however between the two of us, we polished it off. We had noticed a family just getting there with a little girl around Skyler's age. We had a few of Skyler's juice boxes left that would go undrank or thrown away, so we had asked the mom if she wanted them for her daughter for the parks. She did happily take them from us. I was so glad with our abundance of waters and Skyler's juice boxes we were able to spread some Disney Magic on our last day and give them to either CMs or other Guests.
After enjoying our lunch and a Mickey Bar, we headed to the waiting area in the lobby with the TV to wait for our DME Bus. Skyler had fun playing with some other children also in the area. It was time for us to make our way to our DME Bus and head to MCO! Skyler wasn't a good boy on the bus and started throwing his shoes, and a few other things (and finally took a nap on the bus). As we made our way to Security, the nice man checking my ID and our tickets was a Chicago Bears fan and asked me if we got to see the game. Here was where I had to reply with "Sadly no sir, I was riding the Tower of Terror." It did give him a good laugh. He was so nice and told us they opened up another screening area and sent Skyler and I through the short line. Skyler was already ready to go through the machine with his shoes off and I just had to take off my flip flops and fold his stroller.
Since I knew we were getting home late and wasn't sure what was going to be open in Charlotte, we stopped at Q'doba and bought a Chicken Quesadilla and a bottle of water to share. Oh my goodness was it a delicious quesadilla. We actually have a Q'doba at home but I had never tried their food before. We headed to our gate and ate our quesadilla. Our flight was delayed a little bit (I was so glad it didn't interfere with our layover). We had time for a few bio breaks and pull up changes before we left. Our flight crew was also looking for passangers to check in some bags, which I checked in our larger carry on bag and just carried on our backpacks. Our flight was uneventful. We didn't have much time in Charlotte, besides a bio break/pull up change and some time to get a few snacks.
Our flight from Charlotte was also uneventful. We made it back home, got all of our bags (I was surprised they all fit in the trunk except Skyler's stroller and a few bags that went in the back seat with Skyler. Erick was there and on time to pick us up. We were happy to be home, however we were missing Disney. We can't wait to go back and believe me, Skyler has caught the Disney Bug just like his Mommy! He is ready to go back just as bad as I am.
Pictures will come as soon as I can get the rest loaded and my Photobucket account fixed. Thank you all so much for following along with our Disney Adventure. It was a joy and pleasure to share our Disney fun with all of you. My final thoughts and wrap up will follow later too.
Thanks so much for sharing your last days with us! I can't wait to see the photos from 'Ohana! The resort gift shop return is a great trick! You can take anything purchased at any Disney shop and return it there! (Which was great news for me last trip, when I didn't try something on and wasn't going back to DTD!) Waiting patiently for pics and final thoughts . . . when is the next trip ?

I just realized I forgot to add a few details from our last day.
Since we spent Skyler's Disney Dollars from my mom, I still wanted him to come back with a single Disney Dollar to keep in our Scrapbook, so we did head over to the front desk in our resort and I swapped a dollar I had with me for a Disney Dollar for Skyler.
After our Disney Dollar swap, I did go over to the DVC Desk and inquire about DVC Membership, which is kind of a shame I didn't inquire about it earlier in our trip, and didn't take the tour our last day, but hopefully there will be another trip to do that. After learning how roughly inexpensive DVC Membership is, I did talk to Erick upon our arrival home, as once we're able to financially afford it, it is something I would love to join, especially since I am dying to stay at AKL, The Poly, and GF some day, even BLT. I am glad I did inquire about it, even if we didn't take the tour (or receive a free Disney Gift Card for taking the tour which the CM informed me about then too).
If you're wondering how the Security Check Point very friendly man knew I was a Bears fan, this was where I wore my Devin Hester Bears Jersey home from our trip. Sorry no physical proof of that (no picture). It helped bringing it with on the trip even if it was for me to chat with other Bears Fans in the MCO Airport, and helped get me through the security line a little quicker with Skyler(and thank goodness didn't offend anyone).
Sorry I needed to get those in before my absent mindedness got the best of me.

Thank you so much for following along Heather. I can't wait to be able to insert the rest of our pictures from our trip, but especially the 'Ohana Pictures and wish I could insert the couple of videos from that Breakfast in here too. I was so thankful that the CM who helped me in TrenD informed me about the Return in the Resort Gift Shop Trick, as I was so bummed we didn't make it back to the MK on our last day. It made life a little easier for me with being in Disney with a Toddler alone and his lack of patience of going into retail shops so much easier. I'm so glad to hear you were able to return your wrong size item on your last trip in your resort gift shop. Final thoughts will come up soon (I hope, if not after we return from Chicago most certainly) as will the pictures. I'm not entirely sure on when our next trip will be. Since we're still working on saving up to head back to Florida for Skyler's Christmas Vacation from school Dec. 2012/Jan. 2013, it may just be a Day Trip over that vacation since his Winter Break isn't very long. We're still working on getting my DSis, DBIL, and DTwin Nephews to join us for Christmas with our Mom and hopefully they can financially swing a Day trip to Disney with us (as we're hoping it will also financially be in our cards too). Maybe I can convince Erick that my ticket can be my 30th Birthday Gift from him, and his ticket can be an early 29th Birthday Gift to him, since our trip will fall right inbetween both of our Birthdays!

Thank you so much Melissa. I was so happy the weather cleared up our last couple of days and really just enjoyed sharing the trip with my Mom and most of all some of my most fond memories with Skyler. I can't believe it's over too, but at least the pictures will be well worth the wait! Thank you for hanging along and follwing my TR.

Have fun in Chicago!
Thank you so much for following along Kelly. I can't believe I remembered all of this too (maybe a few things I forgot, but remembered later), but in all honesty I do have a good memory when it comes to things I absolutely love, and Disney is one of those places I try not to let any memories slip my very ADHD Brain! Thank you so much. I can't wait for Chicago, and we will share pictures from our Chicago Trip, and highlights from the trip too.
