Two connecting rooms-you listed as adult on one room, your husband on the other. We did this with only 4 of us. The doors open to the two rooms--voila--mini suite! You can do this at either a value resort or a moderate. If you can, get one room with a King bed and put the baby in with you and the four kids in the other room. Good luck!

We are a family of 5 as well. We are DVC members, and even the 1 BR is becoming too small. This year, we are staying for part of the trip in a 2 BR at BLT and have yet to book our first 5 nights. I was debating between a room at Poly or BC or two connecting rooms at a value or moderate. With 7, I agree with those who have suggested the two connecting rooms

You could also rent some SSR DVC points and stay in a Treehouse Villa. It sleeps 9 and has a kitchen.

I would either get two connecting rooms at the resort of your choice (I wouldn't rule out the WL, especially if you can get a good room discount) or look into renting DVC points to stay in a villa.

Also, sometimes having one adult purchase an AP so you qualify for AP holder room discounts may be cost effective. That may be a discount option you can explore.

I agree that two rooms would be your best bet. Be sure to request connecting, not adjoining rooms, though. While adjoining rooms are right next to each other, only connecting rooms have a door between them.

It might also be time to start thinking about whether staying off-site has any appeal to you. There are many resorts and homes available that would be very comfortable for your family size and will cost less than a 2-bedroom villa at WDW. If you already have a car on site, this might be an option for you.

I would have never suggested it until the last few years, when my DD and I started taking some of our trips offsite. We were always afraid it would make the trips less fun, but it just made them different, since we weren't strapped to WDW at all moments of vacation. We found we could eat offsite and spend less and have great meals. And most important of all, the driving to and from the parks was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

With 7 people and 4 beds, actually, everyone but one will be sharing a bed with someone. Unless the family brought along a couple Aerobed things (not a bad idea in itself).

What we do is 2 rooms connecting door at Pop. It is a lot less expensive doing that even over a cabin. The kids love Pop all thoes large icons. We like the way the bus is set up with the different lines to stand in. More shade in thoes area would be great but really your not standing all that long. We love Pop and it is so much less expensive. Never had an issue with getting connecting rooms either.

if you are thinking about staying off-site check out wyndam bonnet creek, i rented a timeshare 2 bedroom thru vacation strategies for about the same price as 1 value room. Bonnet creek is surrounded by the disney resorts, and units have full kitchens, laundry and could be large enough for your family.
