As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Sorry about deleting my prior post, I went to fix the size of the pictures I had posted but all it would let me do was copy and paste, not delete to update their sizes
As I said before, I'm a list maker and as such I knew when I woke up this morning (After tossing and turning with excitement over the fact that DH had said YES to going to WDW this year) I came downstairs and started my lists. Places to make ADR's, things to buy, things to pack and the like. Then it hit me, Meghan wants to go to Akershus for Breakfast like we did on our last trip and I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Provincial Belle dress that I got for her on e-bay so I went back to the woman's store this morning. (Insterting picture of girls from Akershus 2010)
She was the only little girl I saw in that dress and it made an impression on Belle when Meghan had her pictures taken with her. So this year I wanted to get all 3 girls dresses made by that lovely lady. I was looking at them when Hailey came up from behind me!
Hailey:"Momma why are you looking at those...OOOHH I like that one!"(Pointing to Aurora dress that's over 100 dollars) Me:"I'm looking for your Halloween costume sweetie and I dont think Daddy would let me get you that one let's keep on looking" At this point I SOO wanted to tell her "Because I talked to Daddy last night and he said we could go to Walt Disney World instead of Busch Gardens this year." But I didnt! I only hope she didnt see me looking for trading pins on ebay as well!
After much debate and browsing, we decided that Meghan would wear Aurora's "Briar Rose" dress, Hailey would wear the Pink dress that Cinderella was making for herself and the Mice finished, and Gillian will go as Snow White yet again.
In addition to my lists, I also have a small goal for this year's trip. I noticed that there are not many pictures of me from 2010's vacation mostly because I feel put off by my own size
This is me with Pooh on our last trip one of the few pictures I had taken of me. So this year I plan to go back 20lbs or more lighter. The reason is we havent had a family picture taken since Meghan was our only child. Sure I've had pictures taken of the girls alone and together but none with DH and I with them. I plan on getting a sitting done as a Family at either the Wilderness Lodge or on the beach at the Poly.

Your plans sound great. My hubby is retired AF so I certainly understand the need to be away for awhile when they return home. It gives them a chance to get to know there family again and to find their place in the family dynamic. Plus for me it always felt like a honeymoon when he returned home! We've been married 28 years and when he goes on a business trip or I go on a Disney trip it just seems so refreshing when we reconnect. ok tmi-lol. I hope your diet plans work out for you, but even if they don't you still should do your photos. We are who we are and your family loves you anyway. It really is the smiles in the pictures that talk the loudest-not the size of the peeps-lol. Good luck with the planning.

Betty~ When my DH is home for R&R I really want to imurse him into being in the fold of the ladies who love him. After all it's only 2 weeks and I want to make him go back to Afghanistan with lots of memories that will make him smile (I myself smile when ever I think about the first time Gillian warmed up to a character she just wouldnt stop holding onto Daisy's beak!) and hope that when he's out there for the remainder of this deployment he will have that to look back on and smile.

Thank you Mojjo! Maybe we can buddy up somehow to make those pesky pounds hit the ground? (Oh no I'm rhyming like the Mad Hatter!)

Your girls dresses sound amazing and I think you look adorable and should have tons of pictures taken!! Good luck on reaching your weight loss goal, too! But either way, I hope you get in the pictures!
So tonight I took my kiddo's to Target to get a few things and what did they have out to sell in 6 degree weather? Swimsuits! I decided to go ahead and snap those up for the trip while I could (and while they had good ones out in my girl's sizes). I have a new stroller that I'm watching on ebay, as well as some trading pins. I have Meghan on the hunt for her lanyard from our last trip (no clue WHERE she put it but if she thinks I'm buying her a new one she's nuts, she should have left it on the hagar I put em on lol). Have 3 pairs of mouse ears put up and ready to be packed (more then likely at the begining of July) and will have to buy Hailey an actual beanie type set of ears as she has worn her headband ears just about every day since we came home and they look a little worn.
On my diet front (the diet I will be starting tomarrow when I sign up for one of those group diet things that has points) I bought myself my LAST major treat...a Caramello bar. Next to a Dole Whip Float or a Mickey Bar it's a small comfort zone thing for me. I brought it home from the store and put it on my desk next to my monitor. Apparently I got into my Disney Zone and out of the corner of my eye there was Gillian trying to get the caramel and chocolate out of the wrapper. She was sucking on the end like it was a gogurt! Needless to say I had to throw it away. Leave it to my 2 year old to help her momma diet . I will also be ordering my Pilates machine tomarrow to help me get toned so no more excuses about going to the gym for me because it will be here in my house.
hope you and your family have a magical time at the world
