It's My Birthday & I'll Eat & Drink What I Want To! TR (Oct23rd-29th) UPDATED 11/4 - Page 2 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I don't think she set a time yet. I'll let you know as soon as I hear.
You are probably ahead of me konw.....still catching on on FB & PP since my internet was down all yesterday...LOL
I have a carry-on full of snacks, mini-muffins & cereal bars for breakfast for the week. My carry-on bag is pretty much packed, just needs my blackberry & cameras. Once I finish the wash I should have pretty much everything else packed minus a few little things.
I think I saw you added me on FB, i'll go there from here to check that out!
I know about the birthday thing.....we are already looking at running a half marathon on my birthday next year at disney...who knows??? but i agree, now i've had my birthday there two years in a row I'm thinking i'm spoiled for life
3 Days to go!!! I cannot believe it! YAY! and i'm working on my update for you today!
I’ve been a crafty fool I to craft. I always have & it also helps me relax. So ever since we decided to go back to WDW for my Bday I was online looking for cute graphics and ideas for things to do for this trip. I was lurking on that "other board" & found a thread all about designs. I found sooo many cute things there & it really helped me to start get the ball rolling. I did a few shirts for the trip (I did not design them, but I did personalize them myself & add a few touches here & there)
This is the Bling Line The purple shirt is DD's for EPCOT-front here w/a close up of the bling. (Joey's not the only one who loves adding a little Bling to things
Top Left is DD's outfit for MNSSHP (until we get to BBB that is). Top Right is her stroller tag & the bottom pic is the back of DD's EPCOT shirt, my Bday shirt & my AK shirt. I also wanted to make the kids their own passports since we plan to spend so much time in EPCOT for F&WF. Again, a great DISigner created these, but I personalized the covers for us. The stroller tag I scrapped myself(I know you just saw the stroller tag w/the shirts...didn't realize I had already added it to the pics...ooops). Having DD use a stroller in Jan worked out well for us. I saved us many headaches & meltdowns. She did really well walking all day when we went to Wildwood & did the boards, but Disney is a lot more walking.
I have all the little notes for the kids for eat morning (so they know where our ADR’s are for the day) & also for their surprises the day of MNSSHP (PL & BBB). I also did all the tip envelopes & they are filled :woohoo: I read/saw a lot of pics of people who decorated their resort windows & since we are celebrating my bday & Halloween while there I made a few window things as well (again all I can take credit for is personalization!) But I did design the Blue envelopes w/aBell Hop Mickey & POP logo (I know we'll have to check bags before we take DME back to MCO, but I'm hoping our room will be ready when we check in) Oh yeah, I did online check-in, so I'll let you know how that goes too!
I have been working on some 8x8 scrapbook pages that I will be using for my autograph book. I'll post those in my bext update since I am still working on them
Only 4 days left (3 sleeps) and we’ll be on our way to Disney. I still have some more packing to do, but I am hoping to finish that today. Make sure to check out my blog. I figured out how to update it with pics as well so that is all set for the trip too!
Up Next: The Birthday Girls Autograph Book..........

Yes please let me know if you hear anything about Janice's meet. Would love to get there, just don't know for sure.
And now I know where to go for breakfast! The Baker's room!
Not much longer! I made it through day one of work this week. Two more to go until vacation! YAY!!
I love all your craftiness! Especially the "bling line". Your daughter is going to be soooo cute!
I think I finished all the autograph pages that I need & I did make one more shirt for me. Now I just need to print them, put them on cardstock & into my book.
Last night I got my hair cut, boy did I need it! I swear there was 5 lbs of hair on the floor when she was done! Today I colored it.....know what the best part of having gray hair....FREE Highlights I took a pic, but if you want to see it you'll have to check out here MPWife153 Goes to WDW Oct 2009 This is also where my Live updates will be.
Somehow, I also managed to get almost all of my packing done A few more outfits for DH, the little things I'll need between now & Friday, and we'll be ready to go .
Love the hair girlfriend! Can't wait to see you on friday!!!
Only 2 more days gf!!!
I always get so nervous when I cut my hair. Even with a pic of what I want, I seem to get a slightly different cut everytime (I had hair down to the middle of my back when DH & I met!!! He always makes me anxious that it'll be too short, but he always it!)
