Finally...got my parents to take a vacation...POR 9/20-9/29 - UPDATED 10/6 - Page 2 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I feel your pain with you well issue. We had to put in a whole new well last month and it cost us a shade over $6,000 Not to mention that my my husband had just remodeled our bathroom to the tune of $2,000 before the lovely well surprise. Gotta love the way life works sometimes My husband considered canceling his father son trip to help cushion the blow $$$$ but he decided otherwise and he is in full Disney mode now
Your plans look great! Can't wait to hear more!

Pop Century April 2011,
Your plans sound great....how wonderful that you are able to have your parents and your husband's dad able to join in on the fun as well...
(We have talked my parents also into taking a trip with us in December and it has been like 15 years since their last visit as well)
The girl's are so going to have fun meeting all the princesses at their ADR's (I love how convenient it is to meet them there with no waiting in lines 0
We did CRT last trip and for me it was the same thing...as much as the excuse was my DD's birthday it has been my dream to eat in the castle too...
Alright so I got the girls mostly packed except for the little things that need to be added right before we leave. I need to start packing for us(DH & I). He will pack most of his stuff but toiletries and other small stuff are up to me...Like I don't have enough on my plate.
I have been ripping the house apart because Kaelan has lost one of her diamond butterfly earing's she got for her birthday Why my DM had to buy expensive earing's I don't know...Oh yeah and I wanted to get a screwbacking put on them but STUPID ME had to let her wear them without out them Luckily it was pouring that day and she only went to PM Kindergarten and we went to my mom's. So the school is looking for it...but if she lost it there I have to say ADIOS...hopefully it is here and I have to go through the vacuum bag that is going to be fun. I vacuum everyday and now I am scared to in fear that I will pick it up, if I haven't already.
Kaelan also starts soccer this weekend so even less time to get things done. I have to go to CB's(for Professional Hair Stylist Store) to get hair care products. I also have to do last bit of shopping...Corey needs more shorts! How many do you really need to bring He complains about me packing...he is a lot worse! Along with a million shorts he will bring 5 pairs of shoes and 20 pairs of boxers...See what I mean...A lot worse. Of course he is telling me everything will fit in this little duffel bag he has...Yeah Right!!!
I also wrote up my room request. Tell em what you think...Should I change anything
It is a fact
We are coming back My parents we are bringing
The bells we are ringing
They haven't been for years
And as the time gets near
We have Some requests
That we hold dear.
We are celebrating you see
Our Daughters Birthday's
and
Our Wedding Anniversaries.
We don't want to be a bother
But can you put us, the O'Connor's next to my parents, the Martel's That will be swell.
We hope there is some space
In Parterre Place.
With an end room Like before
With my parents Next door.
We are placing our wishes
In Snow White's Wishing well.
We hope we didn't take up
to much of your time
and put you in a bind.
Thank you in advance
while we do our Disney dance!!
O’Connor‘s -Diana- Corey- Kaelan & Brenna (Kaelan(5) & Brenna(3) B-Days) (Diana & Corey(6years)Anniversary)
Martel‘s -Marsha & Ernest (Anniversary(19years))(Marsha(53) B-Day)
September 20th-29th, 2008
Connecting/Adjoining Rooms in Parterre Place
So my little To Do List...alright my NOT too little
*Preorder Photopass
*Start packing for myself & Corey
*Fax room request
*Last minute shopping needs...Hair, clothing & snacks
*Kennel our dog
*Clean House...Look for that earing! I always need to come back to
a clean house...so I can relax...oh yeah so I can do laundry
I think that is about it...for now. I am sure I will have a list a mile long by the end of today. At least I won't be up late for a Red Sox game...Night off. After last night I need it.
Well, how could they not give you you're request after such a fun way to ask? Sounds like you are all set! for a wonderful vacation--can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks everyone for the on finding the earing...I also remembered late last night that I have to put my mail, newspaper on hold next week and next Friday we will do our online check in!! My list keeps growing and growing...Hopefully I won't be walking around with my head chopped off. This weekend I will get everything in order for our trip.
Kaelan has soccer tomorrow morning...So, right after that we are going shopping and and visiting my DF...my girls don't get to see him that often as he lives over an hour away and he doesn't drive. I figured we would see him before we leave and then when we get back. Alright I am off to do laundry and some packing...more soon

We were at WCC last Aug for dinner and they did do the ketchup thing. We had to cancel our ADR this year. I hope they haven't changed something.
The CM that I spoke with says they only do the ketchup thing at breakfast now I am pretty bummed out because I think we would enjoy it. Oh well, I am sure we will have a great time.
So, with 4 days left my list is starting to shrink! Today I need to clean my DD's room, their upstairs playroom(our downstairs is all clean), their bathroom, do some laundry and send out bills. Not too much, luckily I have been cleaning everyday so it really is just a quick cleaning job...We(the girls and I) are all packed.
Now, I know Corey will be packing on friday right before we head over to my mom's, which will mean that I will be running around the house looking for everything he can't find(ex. glasses, extra shaving cream, extra contacts etchim this) Little does he know that I have it all put together already...I swear he does it 'cause he thinks it is funny to see me run around with my head cut off...Talk about STRESS. Too bad for him I will be ready for himthis time around!
I washed the girls dresses for BBB the other day, they are going to be too cute with their hair and make-up and looking at Jill's photos of Mary Devall's pics from BBB I am sooo glad I booked an appointment. Now, being a HairStylist before kids and occasionally know if my old boss needs me I always figured why spend the money but I wanted something special for our dinner at 1900PF, so I went ahead and booked it, even though I could do it myself. I think they will feel like a true princess having it doe by their FGIT.I only wish I made an appt for myself
Well I am off to clean...more to come
Your plans and ADR's sound wonderful. You will love breakfast at 'Ohana and the stepsisters at 1900 Park Fare are hilarious. I'm not sure when they changed the whole ketchup thing at WCC, but we were there on August 14 (this year) and they were defiitely still doing it.
It sounds like you are all set and you have everything under control. Hope you have a magical vacation.
Great plans, Diana! Sounds like you're almost ready to go. Since you've got Epcot scheduled for 9/26, you should consider coming to the PP meet! Here's a link to the thread http://www.passporterboards.com/foru...mber-meet.html.
