As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

Finally caught up with all of your updates now that we finally have power restored! Glad you made it down safe and sound. You should be so glad you weren't here dealing with the chaos that was IRENE...dun dun dun. Enjoy yourself and can't wait for more updates.
Love the new AP!!! I'm so jealous! Sounds like your having a great time. We've been around this time and it was really H-O-T! I'll be there in 21 days...I hope it is not too hot but we can enjoy SAB. Glad you are enjoying your time their. The boys look like they are having a blast!!! Can't wait for more!
Yikes! Off on a Disney vacation of my own, and I come back to find not only have you started another TR (I'm still working my way through Italy), but you are AT DISNEY NOW, and the TR is already FOURTEEN pages long! Time to get reading....laundry will wait!
This is my DD 2's favourite ride too. I'll have to send the camera with DH the next time they ride, since DD 1 doesn't want to ride, and wants to stay with me!

So glad you got out when you did! Hopefully your brother gets there soon! Very jealous (along with everyone else here) about your PAP, but actually just a one-day pass would make me happy about now. I can't believe how big the boys have gotten since your last family trip! Oh, & the picture of Isaiah is awesome! Keep having fun, Sharon! I love living vacariously through you!
We're having a blast! We spent the day yesterday at AK. It was stinkin' hot! But we had lots of fun. Isaiah rode EE (his favorite) 7 times. And he thinks he's a hot shot now after so many rides. But he did manage to provide me with my new Favorite. Photo. EVAH!!!
5-Year-Old Daredevil!
Oh-my-gravy! I think I'm turning into Eileen... I just want to bite him! If that doesn't win you something, I don't know what will. Hope you're having an awesome day Shashi!

I love the sweet potato pancakes and the grits, too.
OMG!!! my favorite breakfast of all. that's it...one day we must meet at the wave for these!
hoping your day is going smoothly, sharon...lots of rain over here and man oh man...as hot as i have ever known it to be.
I was glad to hear you made it safely! I'm a soft pretzel freak and I'm drooling here. I'm wondering what the TSA's will think if I had a suitcase full of them on my next trip.
Absolutely LOVE the supercute nephew photo!! Now you have me wanting to take pictures on the rides.

Oh you totally have to send that photo to the Disney Memories site. It is a great photo and EE is my favorite ride! I'm jealous of 7 rides in one day--I don't think I've ever hit that number.
Thanks for reading, everyone! We are having the best time! DB Ed made it in just fine yesterday. The rest of us spent the day at the MK (after I had breakfast at The Wave with Noah and Daniel - Noah and I loved it, Daniel was being picky ). The MK was kinda crowded, but thankfully it was less hot than yesterday (less, but still stinkin'). Some hotshot got a pretty impressive score on Buzz...
But you'll have to wait for the TR to find out whose score it was. And it wasn't the high score of the day. I talk about how my nephews have my DM wrapped around their little finger, but I was the sucker yesterday. First, nobody wanted to ride the teacups with Isaiah (not even his brothers ), so Auntie had to take one for the team. Luckily, he's only 5, and a lousy teacup spinner.
But he still loved it. We had a bit of a change in our plans. I stopped by the Pirate League and we were able to get in all 3 boys as walk ups. Here's a preview:
I have a bunch of really cute photos from my camera, DSIL's camera and the Photopass pics. But I'll share those in the regular TR. I have to get you to come back!
Today we'll be heading to the Studios. Lunch is at the Sci-Fi, so I'll be enjoying one of those delicious shakes around say 1:30 or so. Also, everyone was a little sad that we didn't have a character meal planned this year, so I was able to get us into Cape May tomorrow morning before our Epcot day. I could've gotten us into Crystal Palace today (which was a bit shocking) but we're not in MK today, and the boys didn't want the Pooh characters.
