Wait!!! Wasn't this supposed to be a weekend trip? TR COMPLETE 11/2 - Page 14 - PassPorter - A Community of Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and General Travel Forums
As of January 1, 2019, we have closed our forums. This is a decision we did not come to lightly, but it is necessary. The software our forums run on is just too out-of-date and it poses a significant security risk. The server software itself must be updated, and it cannot be without removing the forums.
So it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our long-running forums. They came online in 2000 and brought together so many wonderful Disney fans. We had friendships form, careers launch, couples marry, children born ... all because of this amazing community.
Thank you to each of you who were a part of this community. You made it possible.
And a very special thank you to our Guides (moderators), past and present, who kept our forums a happy place to be. You are the glue that held everything together, and we are forever grateful to you. Thank you aliceinwdw, Caldercup, MrsM, WillCAD, Fortissimo, GingerJ, HiddenMickey, CRCrazy, Eeyoresmom, disneyknut, disneydani, Cam22, chezp, WDWfan, Luvsun, KMB733, rescuesk, OhToodles!, Colexis Mom, lfredsbo, HiddenMickey, DrDolphin, DopeyGirl, duck addict, Disneybine, PixieMichele, Sandra Bostwick, Eeyore Tattoo, DyanKJ130, Suzy Q'Disney, LilMarcieMouse, AllisonG, Belle*, Chrissi, Brant, DawnDenise, Crystalloubear, Disneymom9092, FanOfMickey, Goofy4Goofy, GoofyMom, Home4us123, iamgrumpy, ilovedisney247, Jennifer2003, Jenny Pooh, KrisLuvsDisney, Ladyt, Laughaholic88, LauraBelle Hime, Lilianna, LizardCop, Loobyoxlip, lukeandbrooksmom, marisag, michnash, MickeyMAC, OffKilter_Lynn, PamelaK, Poor_Eeyore, ripkensnana, RobDVC, SHEANA1226, Shell of the South, snoozin, Statelady01, Tara O'Hara, tigger22, Tink and Co., Tinkerbelz, WDWJAMBA, wdwlovers, Wendyismyname, whoSEZ, WildforWD, and WvuGrrrl. You made the magic.
We want to personally thank Sara Varney, who coordinated our community for many years (among so many other things she did for us), and Cheryl Pendry, our Message Board Manager who helped train our Guides, and Ginger Jabour, who helped us with the PassPorter-specific forums and Live! Guides. Thank you for your time, energy, and enthusiasm. You made it all happen.
There are other changes as well.
Why? Well, the world has changed. And change with it, we must. The lyrics to "We Go On" for IllumiNations say it best:
We go on to the joy and through the tears
We go on to discover new frontiers
Moving on with the current of the years.
We go on
Moving forward now as one
Moving on with a spirit born to run
Ever on with each rising sun.
To a new day, we go on.
It's time to move on and move forward.
PassPorter is a small business, and for many years it supported our family. But the world changed, print books took a backseat to the Internet, and for a long time now it has been unable to make ends meet. We've had to find new ways to support our family, which means new careers and less and less time available to devote to our first baby, PassPorter.
But eventually, we must move on and move forward. It is the right thing to do.
So we are retiring this newsletter, as we simply cannot keep up with it. Many thanks to Mouse Fan Travel who supported it all these years, to All Ears and MousePlanet who helped us with news, to our many article contributors, and -- most importantly -- to Sara Varney who edited our newsletter so wonderfully for years and years.
And we are no longer charging for the Live Guides. If you have a subscription, it's yours to keep for the lifetime of the Live Guides at no additional cost. The Live Guides will stay online, barring server issues and technical problems, for all of 2019.
That said, PassPorter is not going away. Most of the resources will remain online for as long as we can support them, and after that we will find ways to make whatever we can available. PassPorter means a great deal to us, and to many of you, and we will do our best to keep it alive in whatever way we can. Our server costs are high, and they'll need to come out of our pockets, so in the future you can expect some changes so we can bring those costs down.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your amazing support over the years. Without you, there's no way us little guys could have made something like this happen and given the "big guys" a run for their money. PassPorter was consistently the #3 guidebook after the Unofficial and Official guides, which was really unheard of for such a small company to do. We ROCKED it thanks to you and your support and love!
If you miss us, you can still find some of us online. Sara started a new blog at DisneyParkPrincess.com -- I strongly urge you to visit and get on her mailing list. She IS the Disney park princess and knows Disney backward and forward. And I am blogging as well at JenniferMaker.com, which is a little craft blog I started a couple of years ago to make ends meet. You can see and hear me in my craft show at https://www.youtube.com/c/jennifermaker . Many PassPorter readers and fans are on Facebook, in groups they formed like the PassPorter Trip Reports and PassPorter Crafting Challenge (if you join, just let them know you read about it in the newsletter). And some of our most devoted community members started a forum of their own at Pixie Dust Lane and all are invited over.
So we encourage you to stay in touch with us and your fellow community members wherever works best for you!

I LOVE how the chefs walk the buffet line and are willing to bring from the back as well. Were they the tapioca rolls? My boys love them! And like you, they don't get to eat dinner rolls either.
LOVE that the Prince asked Angel to waltz...and that was some dessert!!
What a great day! I just love 1900 for dinner. What a great group of characters. And to dance with the Prince...........well isn't that just too fancy!! Sorry the placemat was left behind. Josie has one from there. Guess it's just another reason to go back again
I do hope your headache situation gets better, do you use Excedrin? That's the only thing that works for me.
Pool time sounds lovely and glad you could tame the headache a bit. What a wonderful dinner at PF with some great one-on-one, especially with a handsome prince! Love the TLC received from chef Harry!

How lovely! The character interaction sounds so good there! Hmm, I wonder if the Prince would invite me to waltz if I dine there next time...!

The pool afternoon was really a great way to relax before a week of park time.

It was a great meal and I love seeing Lady Tremaine and the step-sisters, and the girls love the interaction.

It definitely was unbearable for a bit, but some food and a little rest (and a couple of pills) did help make it bearable so I could still enjoy with the girls.

They did bring us Tapioca rolls, but he also had another bread that was dairy / nut free on the buffet as well. I think Chef Harry's dessert was Angel's favorite for the first few days...but he had some serious compeition as we got farther into the trip.

I can't take Excedrin, they use a combination of stuff as normal migraine medication has just never worked

Angel still talks about Chef Harry, he had such a great personality and he spent quite some time with us...and well any chef that can make a great dessert goes on Angel's "favorite" list.

Strengely enough we were enjoying all the other interaction that we really did not even notice not seeing Cinderella. We never have had great "Cinderella" interaction here, they are always nice but kind of boring in comparison to the livelier portion of her family. The prince was actually very entertaining tonight as well as in the past we have usually had one that faded into the backdrop as well.

Thanks...I really enjoyed the reveal, it was nice seeing her so surprised. Dancing with the Prince wasa great way to start off the trip.
Now over the years here at Passporter I have always enjoyed reading Jillybean's TR's and seeing her girls enjoying their adventures and we have commented back and forth about the girls. We always said the girls would probably hit it off wonderfully. A few months back I had the chance to meet up with them in person and once I met the girls I knew we were right...Angel would get along with them famously.
Unfortunetly our trips never seemed to collide but a month or so before my trip (when I started my PTR) I got a message from Jill and as luck would have it she and Mary Devall would be there for a few days during our trip celebrating Mary Devall's birthday so we starting comparing schedules so we could get the girls together.
They were going to be at Epcot during the day, but we made plans to meet up for EMH hours. So I texted Jill who let me know that she would text me when they made their way from Epcot so the girls and I decided to go exploring for a bit. We headed into the Eporium for a bit to wander and take some hat shots...even Jasmine participated (without being asked )
We then headed towards Adventureland with no set plans in mind but on our way there Jasmine took one of my favorite shots of the trips...she said it reminded her of Sleeping Beauty, she said she could see the Prince finally making his way through the thorns and then finally seeing the castle...
Angel then needed to try some hats along the way...
There was almost no wait for POC so we headed there first. It posted a 15 minute wait but I think we walked through all the way to our boat and taking in our first sightings of Captain Jack Sparrow.
The girls wanted to hit BMTRR so we walked over there but there was a 70 minute wait so we grabbed some FPs for later and we headed towards another favorite for all the HM. We headed through the direct line this time as we knew we would have time later to take the "long" route and we we happy to spend some time with our happy ghosts friends again...the girls loved the hitchhiking ghosts...we had the ghosts that "poofed" our heads away...I had to laugh as Jasmine asked how my headache was feeling when we got off the ride and funny it seemed to have gone away (at least for the moment) so Angel kept saying the ghost put my head back but kept the headache
I had recieved a text from Jill when we were on the ride and I texted her back and we decided to meet by the Yankee Candle Shop...we waited and a few minutes later I saw a waving Jill. It was so nice to see her again and after some introductions the two little ones acted as if they had known each other for years.
We asked the girls where we were headed and Frontierland it was. Jasmine took a break for a bit as we headed over to Splash Mountain, it posted I think a 30 minute wait but it was no where close to that, we made it though much quicker and the girls asked if they could ride together. They both just had so much to say...it was just too adorable (don't think me or Jill could get a sentence in there between them) and we realized they had both met their match
Now I had the FP's for BTMRR so I gave them to Jasmine so she could take the girls. Jill and I found a spot near the exit to wait for them but a little while later we got a text from Jasmine that due to some mchanical difficulties they had stopped the ride so they were sending everyone off the ride
Jasmine fell in love with Mary Devall by this point thinking she was just adorable, she said she really enjoyed spending the time with the two of them. We knew the girls wanted Space Mountain so we headed towards Fantasyland. We stopped at HM for a ride and we did the scenic route this time with Mary Devall pointing out all the cool stuff to Angel. We really loved the new queue.
The stopped to give me a pose...
I know the girls rode together, not sure if Jasmine rode with us or alone (as she did most of the other times on this ride as she said it allowed her to concetrate more and look for hidden Mickeys....she was very proud that she found one in the cemetery area and made me ride with her later in the trip so she could show me her discovery ).
On our way to Tomorrowland the girls wanted to stop at Pooh, there was little wait and I enjoyed getting to see the new queue...even Jasmine was enjoying herself (as this is one of her favorite rides - she is proud to admit that now).
I was really thirsty so we stopped for a soda and headed to the speedway was next, Angel rode alone, Jill with Mary Devall and I with Jasmine...and here is where I wonder if Jasmine should ever drive as she hops in the car, seeing Mary Devall and Jill start to drive in front of her, she turns and starts talking to me, hits the gas and....almost hits the CM who has jumped in front of our car. Yes just picture the news clip...."Disney Vistor puts CM in hospital by running him over on the Speedway". Luckily he survived...even though I am sure he did not want to see Jasmine again. In her defense I am not sure where he came from he just appeared....but I did instruct Jasmine that her eyes needed to be on the road and not looking at me.
I know we stopped again for the bathroom I think, and suddenly a coke float sounded very appealing, while waiting for that the girls came to get us as they posed for a picture...we did pass on the poster but it was pretty cute.
The wait was pretty long for Space Mountain and the FP was for 1:20 am...but they girls really wanted to do it. This was one of the rides I was hesitatant about...I love Space Mountain but this ride does a number on my back and neck even when I haven't been having any issues, Jill offered to head on with them so we grabbed the FP's and I think headed over to Buzz.
I was really surprised at the crowds even at this time which was around 1 am...Jasmine was really tired and said she was going to head back. She told me not to worry and that she would call as soon as she got to the room.
I think we took a break and just relaxed for a bit waiting for the FP time to open up...the girls tried to get in a few minutes early but even their puppy dog faces did not work, finally 1:20 came and they headed on.
While they were on the ride Jasmine called to say she was back at the room, she said there was a busful of people and that abus pulled up as she made it to the line so I was glad to know she was in the room relaxing.
They all came out smiling and I thanked Jill again for allowing my neck a reprieve this time around. While the two little ones were still raring to go we headed towards the the exit gates as it was close to 2 and we all had early morning plans. We said our goodbyes, but not the final ones as we were going to meet up tomorrow evening at DHS.
